In the school year of 2023-2024, Shenzhen American International School will welcome a group of new teaching staff of IB and AP department. 100% have their master degree, and among them, 70% are doctors.

A Message from Ms. Milare

Milare是秋季即将与大家见面的新老师，将会在中学部教授音乐与戏剧。她是一位职业歌剧演员，活跃在舞台上面，是一位真正的艺术家。以下是她在采访中对深美同学们说的一番话：

Ms. Milare is a new teacher who will meet us in the fall and will teach music and drama in the Secondary School. She is a professional opera singer, active on stage, a true artist. The following is message from Ms. Milare:

深美的同学们和同事们，大家好！我是即将担任音乐戏剧老师的Milare Furandi。我来自意大利。我是一位职业的舞台剧演员。说起舞台剧演员这个职业，它对于演技和声音条件的要求都比较高，相当于一个唱歌出色的演员或者演技出色的歌手。

Dear students and colleagues, hello! I'm Milare Furandi, an upcoming Music and Drama teacher. I am from Italy. I am a professional opera singer. Speaking of opera singer, it has relatively high requirements for both acting skills and voice conditions, which is equivalent to an actor with excellent singing skills or a singer with excellent acting skills.

我非常热爱这份职业，也享受在舞台上演出的快乐！我每一次上台之前，都会有一点小小的紧张，我认为每一场演出都需要肾上腺素的加持，这种紧张是非常有利的。

I love this profession very much, and I also enjoy performing on stage! Every time I go on stage, I feel a little nervous. I think every performance needs the power of adrenaline, and this kind of tension is very beneficial.

每次演出之后，我都会对自己有一个新的认识。对于观众和表演者本身来说，演出都是一个很治愈的过程，我很期待和大家在新学期的课堂中分享我这些年作为职业歌剧演员的有趣经历！

After each performance, I have a new understanding of myself. For both of the audience and the performers, performing is a very therapeutic process. I am very much looking forward to sharing my experience as a professional opera singer with you in the coming school year!

当然除了歌剧演员之外，我也是一个热爱教学的老师。我教过来自世界各地的学生，接触了非常多元的文化。我在教学的过程中，会把我对于艺术的热情与激情传递给我的学生们，让他们真正地喜欢上音乐与戏剧。

Of course, apart from being an opera singer, I am also a passionate teacher. I have taught students from all over the world and have been exposed to very diverse cultures. In the process of teaching, I will pass on my enthusiasm and passion for music to my students, so that they can really like it.

在接下来这个学年的教学中，我将会尽我所能， 为深美的你们创造一个可以支持你们学习的环境。我认为学习中大家应该体会一种“流动的状态”。——这种状态其实就是唯物主义中所说的，物质永远处于运动的状态。只要感受到这种“流动”，你们不仅仅可以在学习生涯中取得成就，更能在之后的人生里大展宏图。

In the teaching of the coming school year, I will do my best to create an supportive environment for your study. I think each of you should experience the "state of flow" during study. ——This state is actually what is said in materialism that matter is always in a state of motion. As long as you feel this "flow", you can not only succeed in your academic career, but also make great achievements in your future life.
