相遇是美好的开始,成长是共同的期许。为搭建家校之间的有效沟通平台,共同关注学生的学习和成长,实现学校和家庭的良性互动,2023年8月23日,长沙彼一米森林学校CBFS开展“最美的遇见 最好的开始”2023 年秋季学期一年级新生家长见面会,帮助家长引导新生尽快适应小学生活,缩短家校磨合期,缓解家长焦虑。

Encounters are a beautiful beginning, and growth is a common expectation. In order to build an effective communication platform between home and school, pay joint attention to students' learning and growth, and achieve positive interaction between school and family, on 23rd August 2023, Changsha BeeMee Forest School (CBFS) carried out the "The Best Encounter The Best Beginning" 2023 Autumn G 1 Parents' Meeting to help the new students and their parents get used to the life of primary school as soon as possible, to shorten the period of integration between the students, their parents, the school, and the teachers and to alleviate the anxiety of the parents.

Welcoming the New Year with Heart and Dreaming for the Future

初次踏入小学,新的校园、新的老师和同学,孩子们在新的学习生活中将面临的各种困难和挑战。面对这些难题,家长们应该怎样帮助孩子们解决呢?活动伊始,CBFS一年级全体教师通过一个精彩的短剧《老师,请你帮帮我》,为在座的家长们答疑解惑,也展示了教师们的职业精神和责任感,以及他们对孩子们的关爱和呵护之心。请家长们相信,在CBFS的校园里,老师们会孜孜不倦,用爱的目光注视孩子,用爱的心情倾听孩子,用爱的眼睛发现孩子,用爱的语言鼓励孩子,伴他们开启智慧的未来。

Stepping into primary school for the first time, with a new campus, new teachers and classmates, children will face a variety of difficulties and challenges in their new learning life. In the face of these difficulties, how should parents help their children to solve them? At the beginning of the activity, all CBFS G 1 teachers answered the questions of the parents in the audience through a wonderful skit "Teacher, please help me", which also demonstrated the professionalism and sense of responsibility of the teachers, as well as their love and care for the children. Parents are invited to believe that in CBFS campus, teachers will work tirelessly to look at children with love, listen to them with love, discover them with love, encourage them with love, and accompany them to begin a wise future.

现场,长沙彼一米森林学校IB PYP协调员张天易致欢迎辞:“有些时候,我们问题会把我们引向一条死胡同。这个问题或许并不能带来正确的解答,一扇知识的大门也因此无法打开。但请你们牢记,沿途中的那些收获,能帮助我们在将来提出更优秀的问题。”

On the scene, Ms.Olivia Zhang, IB PYP Coordinator of Changsha BeeMee Forest School, gave a welcoming speech: "There are times when our questions lead us to a dead end. The question may not lead to the right answer, and a door to knowledge may not open. But please keep in mind that those gains along the way can help us ask even better questions in the future."

During their time at CBFS, children will have unrivalled access to a wide range of people, ideas and experiences; the opportunity to listen to and interact with teachers who specialise in a variety of fields; and the opportunity to challenge and inspire themselves through the creation of knowledge through enquiry and research, and through participation in the arts, literature and sport. Students are expected to be open to different perspectives and experiences, to be willing to change their perceptions, to ask questions and to embrace the "culture of curiosity" at BeeMee.

Classroom teachers play an extremely important role as the children's guide in school. They are not only their teachers, but also their close friends. Classroom teachers not only need to have excellent teaching skills to pass on knowledge to children, but also need to focus on developing their character and self-confidence, and guiding students to develop their potential. At BeeMee, teachers and children grow together and run in both directions, exploring their better selves together.


“少成若天性,习惯成自然”。活动现场,班主任代表彭宏宇为家长介绍孩子们“在彼一米的一天”,从生活安排到课程讲解,彭宏宇老师从各方面多角度阐述了“良好的习惯是快速适应一年级的法宝”。与此同时,家长也要帮助孩子们做好“心理准备”“素养准备”“习惯准备”“社交准备”,这也将成为孩子顺利适应小学新环境最大的底气。

"A habit becomes a nature". At the activity site, the class teacher representative, Ms. Cassie Peng, introduced the children's "A Day at BeeMee" to the parents. From the living arrangement to the explanation of the curriculum, Ms. Cassie Peng elaborated on "Good habits are the magic weapon to adapt to the first grade quickly! Parents should also help their children to do a good job in "psychological preparation", "literacy preparation", "habit preparation" and "social preparation". At the same time, parents should also help their children to be "mentally prepared", "literacy prepared", "habit prepared" and "social prepared", which will be the greatest strength for their children to adapt to the new environment of primary school.

Afterwards, Mum Kathy from CBFS G 2 shared her experience as a parent representative. Her sharing showed us that every child has his/her own unique growth trajectory, and for parents, it is also a journey full of joy, challenges and reflections. Whether it is the progress in learning, the enhancement of children's interests and talents, or the development of teamwork and social skills, every step forward is the result of the children's positive attempts and courageous challenges, and it is enough to make the parents extremely pleased and proud.



校长寄语 殷殷期盼

最后,彼一米森林学校中方校长陈斌先生为本次活动做了总结发言,提出“用数学的眼光看人生和教育”。他以时间为轴,生动形象地描述了人的一生就如同一条函数曲线,有最高点,也必定有最低值。而教育所能做的,便是不断提升孩子的最高点,激励他们不断突破自我。彼一米致力于传承人类文明精华、打造基础教育精品、培养未来社会精英,我们希望能“打破用一把尺子去衡量所有人”,多维度地关注每一个孩子,尊重个性,帮助每一个孩子“成为更好的自己”!

Finally, Mr. Byron Chen, Chinese Principal of CBFS, made a concluding speech for the event, suggesting that "life and education should be viewed from a mathematical perspective". Taking time as the axis, he vividly described that human life is like a function curve, with a highest point and a lowest value. What education can do is to raise the children's highest point and motivate them to break through. BeeMee is committed to gather wisdom from cultures to generate an environment of excellence that grows students into global citizens. We hope to "break the use of a ruler to measure everyone", pay attention to each child in multiple dimensions, respect individuality, and help each child "become a better version of himself"! We hope that we can "break the use of one yardstick to measure everyone", focus on each child in a multi-dimensional way, respect individuality, and help each child "become a better self"!

说到幼小衔接,陈校长从学术要求、作息规范、评价体系等方面向家长介绍小学与幼儿园的不同,并强调了家庭教育的重要性。他提出家长们需要“静心”“细心”“狠心”,相信“相信的力量”,要在日常生活中善于发现孩子的爱好、特长、优点,敏锐地发现关乎孩子品行的问题苗头,以身作则,帮助孩子培养学习兴趣和良好的学习习惯,让孩子可以更好地适应小学生活。陈校长一番话,体现了一位资深教育专家对国内外教育的深入思考,先进的教育理论结合教育实际的阐述,让在场的家长深深折服。

Speaking of the interface between primary and kindergarten, Mr. Byron Chen introduced the differences between primary schools and kindergartens in terms of academic requirements, work and rest rules, and evaluation systems, and emphasised the importance of family education. He suggested that parents need to be "quiet", "careful", "hard", believe in the "power of belief", and be good at discovering their children's hobbies, strengths and abilities in their daily lives. In daily life, parents should be good at discovering their children's hobbies, strengths and advantages, and keenly find the first signs of problems related to their children's behaviour, and set an example by helping their children to cultivate their interest in learning and good study habits, so that their children can better adapt to the life in primary school. Mr. Byron Chen's words reflected the in-depth thinking of a senior education expert on education at home and abroad, and the advanced education theory combined with the practical exposition of education, which made the parents present deeply convinced.




家校共育 携手并进

Home-School Co-Education Hand in Hand

教育是合力作用的结果,需要家庭与学校的紧密配合。家校共育,是为了让学校的教育理念延伸到家庭教育中,家校达成一致、形成合力,共同促进孩子的进步。

Education is the result of synergy and requires close co-operation between families and schools. Home-school co-education is designed to extend the educational philosophy of the school to home education, so that home and school can reach an agreement and form a synergy to jointly promote the progress of children.

一年级新生家长见面会在愉快的氛围中结束了,本次家校沟通让家长们对学校多了一份认可,对孩子的小学生活多了一份期待。他们期待能从 “三方会谈”中更细致地了解一年级的学习、生活要求,期待能在“家长工作坊”中学到更多的教育方法,期待收到周报、月报、学期报告,记录孩子们的点滴进步,分享孩子们成长的喜悦……

The Parents' Meeting for new G 1 students ended in a pleasant atmosphere. This home-school communication gave parents more recognition of the school and more expectations for their children's primary school life.
