It's Time to Enter
the New School
Hundreds of days of waiting and thousands of families' expectations culminated on the morning of 4rd September 2023. The decision of children to step onto the ACZS campus, amidst numerous observers, indicates that we are about to embark on an unfamiliar yet certainly exciting journey into the future, hand in hand.
Putting a red dot on student's forehead, is an important ritual in traditional Chinese culture, this signifies that children will acquire wisdom and succeed in their studies. On the first day of school, we dotted red dot between the eyebrows of each primary school child for enlightenment, and in this way to send a good hope.
We have always adhered to the educational philosophy of Rooted in on Chinese Culture, Enlightening World Thinking', which contains our great hope for our students' personal character and patriotism. Following the first whole-school assembly at the opening ceremony, ACZS students were introduced to a period of red education that left a lasting impression on them.
Accompanied by the five-star red flag and the national anthem, the children stood on the ground and expressed their sincere blessings to the Motherland. The young pioneers, wearing red scarves, saluted the motherland with a sincere and neat salute and a very penetrating singing voice, expressing their love for the motherland and their incomparable pride as Chinese citizens.
As a new standard for education in Zhongshan and even the Greater Bay Area, ACZS is guided by a person, who has profound educational sentiment and high aspirations. In the final session, Mr. Simon Huang, Chairman of the School Council, sent his blessing to all the students, combining his more than ten years of experience in running the school with his insight into the future of the world: "Today's world is facing many opportunities and challenges, such as artificial intelligence, big data, biomedicine, energy and environmental protection, which will be a perfect time for all of you. I hope that ACZS will meet all your academic, social, and personal expectations and facilitate your growth as creators of a new era with a Chinese soul and a global vision. In this way, you may contribute to our community, motherland, and even the progress of humanity, making this imperfect world better.
I feel that this place is the school of my dreams. The beautiful campus is like our little world, full of energy. The diverse curriculum sets the stage for our dreams. I can immerse myself in the ocean of books and run across the vast sports fields. Here, I look forward to gaining more knowledge and meeting more friends.

At this grand ceremony, in addition to student representatives and teacher representatives sending their blessings for ACZS, the principles of each department also appeared at the end of the event, inspiring the children with inspiring words to fly high and dream for the future!
We are no longer alone in this long and challenging journey of growth! Whether it was the overflowing joy at the student-teacher meeting, or the team spirit and cohesiveness created by the first class meeting and games, the children's journey from zero to one, from strangers to familiars, was much quicker than we had imagined. We can finally put our worries aside and see them off with their teachers and friends.
As education becomes more and more diversified, the built environment is crucial to a child's development. As a winner of the MUSE Design Award and the Golden Bund Award, ACZS aims to socialise and articulate the entire campus with its ubiquitous futuristic elements and unique technological texture, to continue to empower the students in their fifteen-year journey of growth.
On the first day of school, we also took the children on a tour of the beautiful campus, where they were inspired by the gymnasium, makerspace, performing arts classroom, visual arts classroom, library, intelligent classroom and other spaces.
KG Starts 2nd School Year
As a premium start to the school's 15-year education journey, on the same day, the Ardingly College Zhongshan(Kindergarten) also welcomed its second school year that full of vigour and hope.
The kindergarten using 'Start the new journey with sweet dreams', as the theme of the day's activities, encouraging the children to wear a variety of strange hats as a way to welcome the second school year. It is worth mentioning that these different and unconventional hats were made by the children themselves during their holidays, and the diverse shapes, such as airplane and Harry Potter, were in fact the true reflection of the children's own dreams.
After the wonderful speech of the Head of Early Years and the solemn flag-raising ceremony, another event that related to hats quietly started. 'Where is My Magic Hat', a fun drama created by kindergarten teachers over a period of half a month, was able to lead children into a fairy tale world full of surprises. The children's curiosity and desire for knowledge was renewed by the display of knowledge covering English, performing arts, magic.

However, each item that appeared here representing the great expectations of the school and the teachers for you. For example, you will find an eraser in the lucky bag, which represents everyone might makes mistakes, and mistakes make people grow.
