FIELD TRIP

Field trips are conducive to getting students out of the classroom and into contact with the outside world so that they can gain insights and promote a deeper integration of book knowledge and life experience. 

研学实践有助于学生走出课堂、与外界联系，从而在研学过程中增广见闻，促进书本知识和生活经验的深度融合。

Based on the teaching philosophy of "teaching for fun", the Secondary students of ASJ (Dongguan) went on a two-day field trip on 16th and 17th November, visiting the characteristic historical and humanistic districts in Guangzhou and Dongguan to experience the diverse cultures in the Greater Bay Area.

本着“寓教于乐”的教学理念，东莞暨大港澳子弟学校中学部于11月16日和17日开展了为期两天的研学之旅，带领学生们探访广州、东莞两地颇具特色的历史人文街区，领略大湾区多元文化之美。

On 16th November, under the guidance of their teachers, the students went to the Guangzhou Book Purchase Centre and experienced the fun of reading books. 

11月16日，学生们在老师的带领下走进广州购书中心，徜徉在知识的海洋中，感受阅读实体书的乐趣。

After that, students went to Yongqingfang, a block with strong local Xiguan characteristics and beautiful arcades (Qilou), where the students saw not only the old Xiguan buildings that had gone through the vicissitudes of life for a century, but also the new buildings that had come to life after renewed, and experienced the strong contrast and organic combination of the old and the new buildings. 

紧接着，同学们走进西关特色浓厚，骑楼形态优美的永庆坊，在这里，学生不仅见到了历经百年沧桑的西关老建筑，更见到了经历“微改造”后的焕发新生的永庆坊，感受新旧建筑的强烈对比和有机结合的魅力。

In addition, the students also visited the Cantonese Opera Museum and deepened their knowledge and interest in Cantonese Opera by viewing the exhibition "The Collection of Cantonese Opera Museum".

此外，学生们还参观了粤剧艺术博物馆，在观赏“铢积寸累——粤剧艺术博物馆藏品征集成果展”的过程中提升了对粤剧的认知和兴趣。

On 17th November, students visited the Lingnan Museum of Fine Art and the Ke Yuan Museum in Dongguan. At Lingnan Museum of Fine Art,  students enjoyed the outstanding art and calligraphy works of the 15th Guangdong Art Festival and the exhibition "From Ke Yuan - New Exploration of Boneless Painting".

11月17日，学生们在东莞参观了岭南美术馆和可园博物馆。在岭南美术馆中，同学们欣赏了第十五届广东省艺术节优秀美术书法作品以及“从可园出发 没骨新风——没骨法新探作品展”。

This exhibition brought together the exploration of boneless flower and bird painting techniques by modern artists from all over the country, so that the students could have a better understanding of the art tradition of boneless flower and bird painting. 

“没骨新风”专题汇集了全国现代院体画家对当代没骨花鸟画技法的探讨，让学生能够对没骨花鸟画的美学传统有一定的了解，启发他们对当代艺术现状的关切和思考。

After learning about this topic, students went to Ke Yuan, one of the birthplaces of Lingnan painting, to experience its deep cultural connotations. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, students learned about the unique architectural features of Ke Yuan. They felt the perspective and wisdom of the ancients who built this garden, which is an advantage of the outdoor classroom for the students.

了解完这个专题后，同学们转身走进岭南画派的发源地之一的可园，亲身体会其深厚的文化内涵，同学们一边欣赏可园的优美风光，一边了解可园独特的庭园建筑特点，在实地中感受古人筑园的审美理念和智慧，这便是户外课堂带给学生的好处。

Students also had a sharing session to wrap up the trip when they returned to school. Each class sent representatives up to the stage to share their findings and opinions on the study, which improved the students' ability to analyse, summarise and present their perspectives. The students also demonstrated their photography and videography skills as they shared their videos and photos, which reflected our students' different abilities and left a good memory of the trip.

结束行程后，学生们返校进行了研学主题汇报分享交流会，每班派出代表上台分享研学的收获与看法，更好地锻炼了学生的总结能力以及演讲能力。学生们在分享的过程中还展示了大批高质量的摄影作品以及视频作品，体现了我校学生在摄影、出镜、剪辑等方面的综合能力，也为这段旅程留下了美好回忆。
