在OCIS五周年庆典的讲话

尊敬的各位领导、各位嘉宾、各位家长

亲爱的老师们、同学们、大家好！

首先请允许我代表东方剑桥本溪教育园区，代表国际学校对各位嘉宾的到来表示热烈的欢迎和衷心得感谢！

瑞雪兆丰年。在2024年新年伊始，我们迎来了国际学校建校五周年喜庆日子，这是一个值得纪念和回忆的时刻，我们共同祝福OCIS生日快乐！

Dear leaders, guests, and parents

Dear teachers and classmates, hello everyone！

First of all, please allow me to extend a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the guests on behalf of the Benxi Education Park of the Oriental Cambridge Education Group and the International School!

 At the beginning of the new year in 2024, we welcome the fifth anniversary celebration of the establishment of the International School, which is a memorable moment，we wish OCIS a happy birthday together! 

在我国教育发展史上，有许多著名学府都是应运而生，如清华大学、北京大学、对外经贸大学等。这些学校创立在不同时期，但都是为了顺应时代要求，培养国之人才而诞生的，多年来培养了无数优秀学子。

In the history of education development in our country, many famous universities were born in response to the development of the times, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of International Business and Economics, etc. They were founded in different periods, but they were all born to meet the requirements of the times and cultivate talents, cultivating countless outstanding students.

五年前，东方剑桥教育集团斥巨资在美丽的山城创建了东方剑桥本溪教育园区，同时成立OCIS国际学校，其目的就是要学习先进的教育理念和管理方法，设置涵盖人文、心理、科学、艺术等多领域多元化的课程体系，培养具有民族灵魂的国际化人才，最终将学校建成一所拥有全球化国际视野的优质国际学校。

Five years ago, the Oriental Cambridge Education Group invested a huge amount of money to establish the Oriental Cambridge Benxi Education Park in the beautiful mountain city, and also established the OCIS International School. Its purpose is to learn advanced  education concepts and management methods, set up a diversified curriculum system covering multiple fields such as humanity, 

转眼我们已经走过了五年的历程。五年的时间在历史长河中只是浪花一簇，然而见证国际学校发展的师生们都知道：这五年是开疆拓土的五年，是风雨洗砺的五年，也是艰苦前行的五年。五年间我们不忘初衷、不断创新，从无到有、从弱到强，实现了自身蜕变。用丰硕的成果向世人展示了我们今天的风彩。

In the blink of an eye, we have already gone through five years of journey. Five years are just a cluster of waves in the long river of history. However, teachers and students who have witnessed the development of international schools know that these five years are the five years of expansion, the five years of trials and tribulations, and the five years of arduous progress. During these five years, we have not forgotten our original intention, continuously worked hard and innovated, and achieved our own transformation. With fruitful results, we have shown the world our current glory.

回首往事：

2018年学校被英国爱德思（Edexcel）考试局授予国际IGcse和国际ALevel的考试中心；

2019年被授予辽宁省外语协会研训基地；

2020年OCIS喜获国际声誉最高教育项目IBDP的授权；

2021年OCIS获辽宁地区“爱丁堡国际奖”项目执行中心；

2021年被确定为全国英语口语CNSET考试本溪考点；

2021年我们成为东北地区第一个中德双元制国际教育项目的合作校；

2022年申报中国最佳国际学校，

2023年OCIS正式当选，成为全国百所最佳学校之一。

Looking back:

In 2018, the school was accredited as the International GCSE and International A Level Examination Center by the Edexcel Examination Board;

In 2019, accredited as the Liaoning Foreign Language Association Research and Training Base;

In 2020, accredited to run the internationally renowned education program IBDP;

In 2021, accredited as the only “Duke of Edinburgh International Award" center in Liaoning region;

In 2021, accredited as the national English speaking CNSET exam site in Benxi, China;

In 2021, accredited as the first Sino German international education project cooperative school in Northeast China;

In 2022, applied for the Best International School in China,

In 2023, OCIS was officially elected and became one of the top 100 best international schools in the country.

“木铎金声，春华秋实”。五年间，我们先后有三届毕业生分别考入了英国伦敦大学学院（2022年QS世界大学排名第8，全英第4名）；荷兰阿姆斯特丹大学（传播学与媒体研究专业2022年QS世界大学学科排名第1名） ；美国凯尼恩学院（美国本科教学第11位）；英国爱丁堡大学（2023年QS世界大学排名第15名）；英国曼彻斯特大学（2023年QS世界大学排名第28名）；澳洲墨尔本大学（2023年QS世界大学排名第33名）；澳洲新南威尔士大学（2023年QS世界大学排名第45名）；英国威尔士三一圣大卫大学（艺术专业全英排名第5名）；美国宾州州立大学（全美公立院校中排名第15）；美国罗格斯大学（世界一流大学排名全球第54名）等世界知名大学，这些大学的世界QS排名都在前列。一批又一批优秀毕业生从这里走向世界，在世界名校的舞台上继续闪耀光芒！

During the five years, we had three graduates who were admitted to University College London (ranked 8th in the 2022 QS World University Rankings and 4th in the UK); University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands (ranked 1st in the 2022 QS World University Rankings for Communication and Media Studies); Kenyon College in the United States (ranked 11th in undergraduate teaching in the US); and University of Edinburgh (ranked 15th in the 2023 QS World University Rankings); The University of Manchester in the UK (ranked 28th in the QS World University in 2023); the University of Melbourne in Australia (ranked 33rd in the QS World University in 2023); the University of New South Wales in Australia (ranked 45th in the QS World University in 2023); Trinity St. David's University in Wales in the UK (ranked 5th in the arts profession in the UK); Penn State University in the US (ranked 15th in the US public universities); Rutgers University in the United States (ranked 54th in the world's first-class university rankings) and other world-renowned universities, all of which have high QS rankings in the world. Batch after batch of outstanding graduates have walked towards the world from here, continuing to shine on the stage of world-renowned schools!

五年间我们先后参加了袋鼠国际数学竞赛、北美驯鹿数学思维挑战赛、滑铁卢数学竞赛、澳大利亚数学思维挑战赛、英国化学奥林匹克竞赛、阿思丹模拟商赛等各类世界权威的学术竞赛，并获得全球金、银、铜、技能奖等奖项。

During this period, we have participated in various world-renowned academic competitions such as the Kangaroo International Mathematical Competition, the Caribou Math, the Waterloo Mathematical Competition, the Australian Mathematical Competition, the UK Chemistry Olympiad, and the ASDAN Business Simulation Competition, and have won global gold, silver, bronze, and skills awards.

这些成绩取得离不开上级领导和相关部门的大力支持，离不开众多家长的信任，离不开所有同学的努力，更离不开各位老师的细心指导，因此我们不能忘记为此付出努力的所有人，是你们创造了OCIS的今天！

These achievements cannot be achieved without the support of the group, leaders, and parents, the efforts of all students, and the efforts of all teachers. Therefore, we cannot forget all the people who have put in efforts, it is you who created OCIS today！

在这欢庆的日子里，我真诚地对老师说一声：没有你们的爱与奉献，就没有学生化茧成蝶。OCIS的老师都懂得“师者，传道受业解惑”的道理，作为师者不仅要让学生学到知识，更要让学生具有正确的人生观、价值观、世界观，为学生的未来发展奠定基础。这也是董事长“用教育点亮未来”的教育思想体现，也是我们坚守的教育信仰。

On this day of celebration, I sincerely say to the staff: without your love and dedication, no students will make breakthroughs and transformations. OCIS teachers not only know the truth of "preaching and teaching to solve doubts", but also enable students have a correct outlook on life, values, and world perspectives, laying the foundation for future development. This is also the embodiment of the chairman's educational aspiration "enlighten future with education", as well as the pedagogical belief we adhere to.

在这里我还要对家长说，没有你们的支持与付出就没有学校的快速发展与学生的健康成长。

Here, I also want to say to parents that without their support and dedication, there can be no rapid development of the school and transformation of students.

我们学校距离繁华市区较远，为了孩子的未来，你们相信我们，把孩子交给了我们，是对我们最大的信任与支持。俗话说：“道不同不相为谋”，一路走来，你们和我们一样经历了学校建立初期的百业待兴；经历了三年疫情对我们的考验；经历了世界形势的多变给我们带来的困惑，但是你们依然坚定目标坚定孩子的发展方向，依然坚定与我们砥砺前行。五年来与我们共同见证了孩子的进步与成长，共同见证了学校的发展与壮大，真诚地谢谢你们！

Our school is far from the bustling urban area. For the future of our students, you believe in us and entrust our children to us, which is the greatest confidence. As the saying goes, "Different ways do not conspire against each other." Along the way, you, like us, have experienced the impact of the pandemic on us for three years and the confusion caused by changes in the world situation. However, you remain steadfast in your goals and the direction of your child's development. You are still determined to forge ahead with us, witness the progress and growth of your child with us, and witness the development and growth of our school with us. For that I sincerely say, thank you!

亲爱的同学们，虽然只有五年的时间但是你们的名字与成绩已经永远记录在学校史册上，学校的辉煌永远有你们的篇章。

Dear students, whether you are a graduate or a current student, your name and grades have always been recorded in the history of the school. The glory of the school will always have your inputs.

当今世界，科技竞争、国力竞争日趋激烈。作为学校，我们仍然要不断学习，不断认知未来世界，仍然会探索国际教育的新模式、新方法，寻找更多、更好的发展路径，为学生提供更合理、更科学、更完善的实践平台，帮助学生实现学习目标，为未来发展夯实基础。

In today's world, science and technology are advancing rapidly, and the competition for national strength is becoming increasingly fierce. As schools, we still need to constantly learn and understand the future world, explore new models and methods of international education, find more and better development paths, provide students with a more reasonable, scientific, and perfect educational platform, help students achieve learning goals, and lay a solid foundation for future development.

同时我借此机会对家长说几句希望的话，曾有人说过：“你最大的责任，是把这块材料铸造成器”。各位家长如何把自己的孩子培养成国之大器，就要从自身的学习和修养做起，以身作则，引导孩子、影响孩子，使之思想稳定、目标明确、勤于学习、持之以恒。

At the same time, I take this opportunity to say a few words of hope to parents: Someone once said, "Your greatest responsibility is to cast this material into a vessel.". Parents are expected start with their own learning and cultivation to cultivate their children into the greatest assets of the country. They could lead students by example, guidance and influence. Enable them with balanced mindsets, clear goals, diligence in learning and perseverance in life. 

同学们，你们今天在OCIS学习是快乐的、幸福的，是父母为你们提供了保障，是学校为你们提供了平台，但是你们一定要懂得人生的成功，必须是经过自身的努力获得的，才是真正意义上的成功。只有这样，你们才能懂得成功来之不易，才能永远奋斗下去。最近，教育界最火的一句话：校园之外是没有温室的，长大之后是没有儿戏的，外面的世界不会轻易原谅那些不懂规则意识的孩子。父母的支持和保障是暂时的，学校的快乐与舒适也是暂时的，只有走向社会去见风雨去见世面，懂得什么是规矩、什么是法则才能在未来社会站稳脚跟，才能有更多的发展机会。在未来的发展中，你们要有海纳百川的博大胸怀，要有志存高远的思想内涵，要有天道酬勤的学习毅力，要有的锲而不舍的奋斗精神，你们要向已经毕业的校友学习，像他们一样胸怀祖国，放眼世界，真正成为对社会发展有用之人才！

Dear students, studying at OCIS today is a joyful and happy experience for you. It is your parents who have provided you with security, and the school has provided you with a platform. However, you must understand that success in learning must be achieved through your own efforts in order to truly achieve it. Only then can you understand that success is hard-earned and can you continue to strive forever. Recently, the most popular saying in the education world:“There is no playground outside the campus, and there will be no children's play after growing up. The outside world will not easily forgive children who do not understand the rules. ” The support and protection of parents are temporary happiness and comfort in school age. Only by stepping into society, seeing the wind and rain, and understanding the rules and laws and regulations, can we establish a firm foothold in future society and have opportunities for development. You could have a broad mind that embraces all aspects, the ambition, the perseverance in learning and hard work to win rewards. You could learn from alumni who have already graduated, and go global like them.

再过五年、十年、二十年……你们一定能够成为牛津、剑桥、哈佛等世界知名大学的优秀学子，你们一定能够成为优秀的哲学家、科学家、经济学家和社会活动家，在不同的领域为社会进步和世界和平发展做出应有的贡献！将来无论你们走到哪里，东方剑桥永远以你们为荣！以你们为傲！最后让我们共同祝福OCIS的教育事业更加辉煌！OCIS的明天更加美好！

In five, ten, twenty years...You will become outstanding students of Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and other world-famous universities, you will definitely become excellent philosophers, scientists, artists, economists in different industries and make contributions to society. Oriental Cambridge will always be proud of you. Last but not least, Let's wish OCIS a more brilliant future！
