在新学期即将到来之际，长沙市岳麓区彼一米森林学校CBFS的全体教职工们已于2月21日全身心地投入到了开学前的各项准备工作中。

As the new semester is approaching, all the teachers and staff of CBFS have devoted themselves to the preparations before the start of school on February 21.

在新学期即将拉开帷幕之际，我校召开了以“春雷萌动，一飞冲天”为主题的全体教师大会。这次大会不仅仅是一次简单的集结，更是一次智慧的碰撞和力量的汇聚。会议的核心目的在于为新学期的教育教学工作指明方向、规划策略，同时激发和挖掘每位教师的内在潜能，进一步提升其专业素养和教育教学能力。

As the new semester is about to kick off, our school held a general meeting of all teachers with the theme of "Spring Thunder Sprouts, Soaring into the Sky". This conference is not only a simple assembly, but also a collaboration of wisdom and a gathering of strength. The core purpose of the conference is to point out the direction and planning strategies for the education and teaching work in the new semester, and at the same time stimulate and tap the inherent potential of each teacher, and further improve their professional quality and teaching ability.

会上，CBFS中方总校长熊伟红女士以高瞻远瞩的视野，向全体教师提出了做事的三个标准：大事见能力，小事见态度，琐事见格局。熊校进一步解释说，在处理重大事务时，大家应展现出各自卓越的能力和决断力；在日常小事中，大家应保持敬业和专注细节的态度；在面对琐碎事务时，要体现出大家的勇于奉献、敢于承担的格局。

At the meeting, Ms. Xiong Weihong, the Chinese principal of CBFS, put forward three standards for all teachers to do things with a far-sighted vision: To see ability in big things, to see attitude in small things, and to see patterns in seemingly trivial things. Ms. Xiong further explained that when dealing with major affairs, everyone should show their outstanding ability and determination. In daily small things, everyone should maintain a dedicated and detail-oriented attitude, and in the face of small affairs, we should be dedicated, reflective, and dare to take responsibility.

同时，熊校还强调了五个维度的自我提升路径：认真、勤奋、方法、执着和创新。她鼓励每位教职工们都要以认真的态度对待每一项工作，勤奋地钻研教育教学技巧，不断探索和尝试新的方法，保持对教育事业的执着追求，并勇于创新，不断挑战自我。

At the same time, Principal Xiong also emphasized the self-improvement path of five dimensions: seriousness, diligence, methodology, perseverance and innovation. She encouraged every faculty member to take every job seriously, diligently study education and teaching skills, constantly explore and try new methods, maintain the persistent pursuit of education, and have the courage to innovate and constantly challenge themselves.

CBFS教学主任周辉艳在会议上对中方教师这学期的工作提出了明确且具体的要求，强调了教师们应以提高教学质量为核心目标，注重学生的全面发展，加强课堂教学管理、完善学生评价体系、积极开展教研活动等。作为学校教师，不仅要关注学生的知识掌握学情，还要注重培养学生的创新能力和实践技能。同时，周主任也要求教师们加强团队合作，互相学习、共同进步，形成积极向上的教学氛围，为新学期的教学工作开好局、起好步。

At the meeting, Ms. Zhou Huiyan, director of CBFS teaching, put forward clear and specific requirements for the work of Chinese teachers this semester, emphasizing that teachers should improve the quality of teaching as the core goal, pay attention to the all-around development of students, strengthen classroom management, improve the student evaluation system, and actively carry out teaching and research activities. As a school teacher, we should not only pay attention to students' knowledge mastery, but also pay attention to cultivating students' innovation ability and practical skills. At the same time, Director Zhou also asked teachers to strengthen teamwork, learn from each other, make progress together, form a positive teaching atmosphere, and make a good start for the teaching work in the new semester.

2024年2月22日上午，学术部全体老师就“教学常规管理制度”进行了重温学习和培训。熊校在会上针对“双减工作“和”五项管理“的落实提出了更高的要求。全体老师表示这次的培训学习对于本学期的教育教学有着非常重要的指导意义。

On the morning of February 22, 2024, all the teachers of the Academic Department reviewed and trained on the "Teaching Routine Management System". At the meeting, Principal Xiong put forward higher requirements for the implementation of "double reduction work" and "five management". All the teachers said that this training and learning has very important guiding significance for this semester's education and teaching.

“教研引领开新篇，凝心聚力启新颜”。为了全面提升语文课堂教学水平，努力打造高效课堂，促进语文教师队伍专业化发展，学校的语文老师们开展了一场精彩纷呈的教研活动。教研组长结合本学期的校历，精心策划了诗歌月、戏剧月等各类学科主题活动。

"Teaching and research lead to opening a new chapter, and cohesion opens a new perspective". In order to comprehensively improve the level of Chinese classroom teaching, strive to create efficient classrooms, and promote the professional development of Chinese teachers.  The Chinese teachers of CBFS have carried out a wonderful teaching and research activity. Combined with the academic calendar of this semester, the head of the teaching and research team carefully planned various subject theme activities such as poetry month and drama month.

学校数学组一直在执行国家课程的基础上，创造性地融合国际先进教育理念、教学策略和评价方式。为了在新学期更好地激发学生学习数学的兴趣，让学生的数学思维方法、数学研究方法和数学着眼点等方面的大力提升，数学组在熊校和各位领导的带领下，进行了数学组教研计划的研讨，以期提高学科活动的趣味性，提升学生的世界观，从而夯实彼一米学校的国际化特色。

Based on the implementation of the national curriculum, the Mathematics team of CBFS has creatively integrated international advanced educational concepts, teaching strategies and evaluation methods. In order to better stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics in the new semester, and so that students' mathematical thinking methods, mathematical research methods, and mathematical focus can be greatly improved, the mathematics group, under the leadership of Principal Xiong and the leaders, conducted a discussion on the teaching and research plan of the mathematics group, in order to improve the interest of subject activities, enhance students' world view, and consolidate the international characteristics of CBFS.

作为一所面向未来的国际化学校，CBFS致力于培养具有全球视野和跨文化交际能力的学生。在教研会上，IB协调员张天易女士和英语组长Mr. Dibden组织英语组全体老师就学生基础语言技能的培养、语言应用能力的拓展和综合运用能力的培养等方面进行了深入讨论。新学期老师们将继续坚持彼一米的国际化办学特色，针对每个年级每位学生的学情，开展特色化分层教学模式，从听、说、读、写多个维度，确保每位同学都能找到适合自己的最优英语学习路径。同时，我们也将继续融合中国传统文化特色，为同学们创造更加丰富多彩的学习体验。

As a future-oriented international school, CBFS is committed to cultivating students with a global perspective and intercultural communication skills. At the meeting, Ms. Zhang Tianyi, IB Coordinator, and Mr. Dibden, Head of English Department, were invited to the meeting. Mr. Dibden organized all the teachers of the English group to have an in-depth discussion on the cultivation of students' basic language skills, the expansion of language application ability and the cultivation of comprehensive application ability. In the new semester, teachers will continue to adhere to the characteristics of Bee Mee's international schooling, and carry out a characteristic hierarchical teaching model according to the learning situation of each student in each grade, so as to ensure that each student can find the best English learning path suitable for himself from multiple dimensions of listening, speaking, reading and writing. At the same time, we will continue to integrate the characteristics of traditional Chinese culture to create a more colorful learning experience for students.

为了更好地帮助学生探索UOI主题“我们身处在什么时空”，各个年级学科老师们齐聚一堂，展开了一场跨学科的探究计划讨论。例如，通过研究同时期不同国家历史事件的关联，探究我们在时空中的方位，从本地和全球的视角考察个人与文明之间千丝万缕的联系。老师们相信，通过综合各个学科的知识和各项技能，孩子们能够更好地理解和应用UOI主题，并不断提高他们的批判性思维、创新能力和解决问题的能力。

In order to better help students explore the UOI theme "Where We Are in Place and Time", subject teachers from all grades came together to start an interdisciplinary discussion on the plan of inquiry. For example, by studying the connections between the historical events of different countries during the same period, we explore our place in time and space, and examine the inextricable connections between individuals and civilizations from local and global perspectives. Teachers believe that by integrating knowledge and skills from various subjects, children are better able to understand and apply UOI topics and continuously improve their critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving skills.

在新学期伊始，综合教研组提出了以艺术体育特色化为导向的教育教学发展策略，旨在通过采用创新性的教学方法以及整合国际教育资源，为学生构建一个集艺术、体育、信息与多元文化于一体的综合学习环境。教研组成员将继续致力于探索并实施跨学科的教学模式，为学生参与更高级别的学术与技能竞赛打下坚实基础，从而全面提升学生的综合素养。

At the beginning of the new semester, the General group proposed an education and teaching development strategy oriented by the characteristics of art and sports, aiming to build a comprehensive learning environment integrating art, sports, information, and multiculturalism for students through the use of innovative teaching methods and the integration of international educational resources. The members of the department will continue to explore and implement interdisciplinary teaching models to lay a solid foundation for students to participate in higher-level academic and skill competitions, so as to comprehensively improve students' comprehensive literacy.

A week before the start of school, all the faculty and staff were busy preparing for the opening ceremony of the new semester with the theme of "Blooming of Spring, Soaring to Sky", hoping to bring an unforgettable back-to-school experience to children and parents and start a beautiful new semester together.

随着新学期的到来，我们再次站在了教育的新起点。老师们深知开学第一课对学生成长的重要性。它不仅是知识传递的开始，更是塑造学生价值观、世界观，激励他们不断挑战自我的重要时刻。老师们通过实例教学，让孩子们知道安全的重要性，提升学生自我保护能力。同时，强调纪律规范，引导学生自觉遵守，培养自律与责任感。

With the arrival of the new semester, we are once again standing at a new starting point of education. Teachers are well aware of the importance of the first lesson for students' growth. It is not only the beginning of knowledge transfer, but also an important moment to shape students' values and worldview, and inspire them to constantly challenge themselves. Teachers teach children the importance of safety and improve students' self-protection ability through examples. At the same time, it emphasizes discipline norms, guides students to consciously abide by them, and cultivates self-discipline and a sense of responsibility.

At the same time, we always adhere to the student-centered education philosophy. At the beginning of the new semester, we will guide the children to express their wishes and expectations bravely, and let their voices become the guide of our teaching work. This change of placing students in the center of learning not only helps us better understand the needs of our students, but also stimulates their enthusiasm and initiative to learn.
