The Foundation students have been introduced to living things that can help them better understand the significance of cooperation and teamwork in society and in the classroom. Interactive activities have also been used to encourage the students to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment and all living beings. The children learnt to sing, "I am a living thing. I drink water, I eat food, I breathe air, I grow up, and I can move!”

The students in Kindergarten 1 displayed empathy towards the Earth by singing the song ‘Save The Planet For Me and You.' They developed a sense of responsibility towards protecting the Earth by taking small actions such as throwing their trash into the bin, avoiding wasting food, and turning off the lights and faucets.

The Kindergarten 2 class have been demonstrating and fostering a culture of gratitude and kindness in the classroom. The students have been especially encouraged to express appreciation for one another and for the kindness and help they rendered to their new peers who have recently joined the class.

Kindergarten 3 began looking into their new unit ‘Sharing the Planet.’ The students were able to have discussions about our world, who we share it with and why it is so important to look after it. They thoroughly enjoyed looking at the class globe and trying to find where they are located as well as the places they have visited.

In Music Class, the Early Years began focussing on Unit 3— ‘Sharing The Planet.’ 


The Foundation students started learning about living things and the different parts of the body. The objective is to teach them that they are also living things and that they can gain more self-consciousness through music. In particular, the children were introduced to the song ‘Keep My Body Moving.' This will help them identify and move different parts of their body such as the chin, nose, ears, elbows, ankles, toes, and hips. 


The Kindergarten 1 students began their discovery journey on how to love and care for our planet Earth. To achieve this goal, the children were first introduced to a song called ‘I Love My Beautiful Planet,’ which they explored excitedly. The students focussed on several reasons why we should love our wonderful planet, full of plants, animals, mountains, trees, and seas. Lastly, they made a small-scale planet with play dough. 


The Kindergarten 2 students also started tackling the connection between living things and the different parts of the body. Throughout this unit, they will continue to investigate this connection through songs and dances, which encourage children to experiment with different actions during independent learning time.
