玩转数学 嘉年华π对——长沙市岳麓区彼一米森林学校数学周 | CBFS Math Carnival π Party

国际数学日是为了纪念中国古代数学家祖冲之而设立的节日。国际数学日之所以定在3月14日,也是因为“3.14”是圆周率数值最接近的数字。2019年11月26日联合国教科文组织第四十届大会上正式宣布,将每年3月14日定为国际数学日。

International Maths Day is a festival established to commemorate Zu Chongzhi, an ancient Chinese mathematician. The reason for choosing March 14th as International Maths Day is because "3.14" is the closest numerical approximation to the value of pi. On November 26th, 2019, UNESCO officially announced at its 40th General Conference that March 14th of each year would be designated as International Math Day.


圆周率日超越了数字的界限,引领我们开启一场跨越千年的数学之旅。从古老文明到当代学者,圆周率(π)的魅力让我们为之神往,它也激发了从工程到艺术等各个领域的新发现。长沙市岳麓区彼一米森林学校CBFS重视学生的数学能力培养,圆周率日不仅仅是对一个数字的颂赞,更是对探索、求知和学习乐趣的有力见证。

Pi Day transcends the boundaries of numbers and takes us on a mathematical journey that spans millennia. From ancient civilizations to contemporary scholars, we have been fascinated by the fascination of pi (π) and it has inspired new discoveries in fields ranging from engineering to art. CBFS attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' mathematical ability, and Pi Day is not only a praise for a number, but also a powerful testimony to exploration, knowledge and learning fun.


为了让孩子更好的发现数学之美,CBFS的中外方老师们精心策划了为期4天的一系列数学符号π的庆祝活动,精心设计的引人入胜的游戏和互动体验,给学生们带来了神奇学术之旅和快乐体验。现在一起看看同学们如何玩转数学,享受嘉年华π对!

In order to allow children to better discover the beauty of mathematics, CBFS Chinese and foreign teachers have carefully planned a series of celebrations of mathematical symbolic π for 4 days, and well-designed engaging activities and interactive experiences have brought magic and joy to students. Now let's see how the students play maths games and enjoy the carnival π right!



城市画π 

City Painting π

在各年级的数学课上,学生们从了解圆周率开始,对π有了初步认识。于是乎,凭着自己对城市缩影图的理解,结合π元素,学生们开始了他们的“画π”创作,忙得是不亦乐乎。小手小脸不小心蹭上了颜料,同时也堆上了笑容。

 In maths classes across all grades, the students began with an introduction to pi, gaining a basic understanding of the concept. Using their understanding of a miniature cityscape and incorporating the element of π, the students embarked on their "painting π" creation, busy and delighted. Little hands and faces were accidentally smeared with paint, but smiles abounded.


解题思π

Problem-solving π

围绕着数学主题,本周的学院墙前,摆放了学生们自己出题、解题的答题盒。一到课间,学生们就忍不住冲出教室,来到答题区抽取题目,为自己学院争取积分。看到学生们认真思考的模样,老师们都忍不住为他们点赞!学海无涯,学无止境,学生们一直在成长的路上前进!

Centered on the theme of maths, this week's house wall featured a question box where students could create and solve their own math problems. During breaks, the students couldn't wait to rush out of the classroom and come to the question area to draw questions and earn points for their house. Seeing the students deeply engaged in thought, the teachers couldn't help but praise them! The sea of learning is vast and endless, and our students are constantly moving forward on the path of growth!

Crafting π

与数学家高斯齐名的,恐怕少不了他的高斯帽。由此为灵感,老师们对学生们寄予厚望,指不定在这群学生们中,会出现和高斯一样的数学大家呢!那就为自己制作一顶米粒帽吧!设计、测量、剪裁、粘贴……每一步,学生们都秉承数学的严谨,享受着数学的过程。看看他们的帽子,你们能不喜欢吗!

Just as famous as mathematician Gauss is his signature hat. Inspired by this, teachers hold high expectations for our students, hoping that among them may arise mathematicians as great as Gauss! So, let's make a grain hat for ourselves! Designing, measuring, cutting, pasting... Every step, the students adhered to the rigor of math and enjoyed the process. Look at their hats, how can you not love them!



故事述π

Storytelling π

当我们去了解,每一位数学家背后的故事时,我们能发现,成功都不是偶然,天分固然重要,但勤奋始终是主旋律。欧几里得、阿基米德、高斯、祖冲之、刘徽……在无数名字的背后,是我们看不到的汗水。所以,当学生们用一个一个生动的故事讲述这些来之不易的成就时,为之动容的,是数学家对学术的追求与执着。

When we delve into the stories behind each mathematician, we discover that success is not accidental. Talent is indeed important, but hard work is always the main theme. Euclid, Archimedes, Gauss, Zu Chongzhi, Liu Hui... Behind countless names are the unseen sweat and effort. Therefore, when our students tell vivid stories about these hard-earned achievements, it is the mathematicians' pursuit and dedication to academic pursuits that move us.


游戏玩π

Gaming π

最激动人心的,莫过于嘉年华π对中的数学游戏了。老师们为学生们准备了许多站点打卡,其中涉及到的数学知识包括了计算估算、逻辑推理、几何建构等。从孩子们的朗朗笑声中就知道,他们是真的爱数学,懂数学,享数学!

The most exciting part is undoubtedly the maths games at the Carnival π Day. Teachers prepared many stations for the students to visit, covering mathematical knowledge such as estimation, logical reasoning, geometric construction, and more. From the children's cheerful laughter, it is evident that they truly love, understand, and enjoy maths!


π是无止境的,同学们的热情也是无止境的。在接下来的学习中,学生们将继续开启对数学家们的专项研究,因为每一位数学家都意味着数学史上的一个关键事件和节点,将贯穿在学生们所有数学学习的领域及所有学习数学的过程。学生们也将结合UOI探究去学习了解古今中外的数学文化,数学家的探究历程、数学本身的文化内容,以及通过“数学”看见历史、看见当时的社会文化等。我们都相信每一个学生们在更有文化味的数学学习磁场里,能成长为更具有数学素养、数学文化的人。

π is endless, and so is the enthusiasm of the students. In the following courses, students will continue to learn about mathematicians, because every mathematician is a key event in the history of mathematics. The courses run through all areas of math learning and all math learning processes. Students will also combine UOI research to learn to understand the ancient and modern mathematical culture, the mathematician's research process, the cultural content of mathematics itself, and through“Mathematics” learn about history and see the social culture of the time. We all believe that every student in the more cultural mathematics learning.
