国际小学2019-2020学年英语文化节之“歌唱我们的童年”

“荷风送香气，竹露滴清响”。夏意渐浓的六月，徐州华顿国际学校国际部小学又展开了一幅华丽的篇章。

Lotus wind sends aroma, bamboo dew drops clear ring. In June of summer, the International Department of Walton International School Xuzhou opened another splendid chapter.

为进一步丰富学生的校园文化生活，营造浓厚的英语学习氛围，激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性。2020年6月19日下午，以“歌唱我们的童年”为主题的国际小学部英语合唱比赛在我校国际部广场精彩上演。

In order to further enrich students' campus cultural life, create a strong English learning atmosphere, stimulate students' interest and enthusiasm in learning English. On the afternoon of June 19, 2020, the International Primary School English Chorus Competition with the theme of Singing our Childhood was held in the square of our school.

语言是交流的工具，学会使用英语并把它变成优美的歌曲演唱出来，这样的形式既能展现英语风采又锻炼了学生们的表现力。学部一到六年级学生以班级为单位参与合唱比赛，他们尽情彰显阳光自信、开朗乐观的精神面貌，体会到凝聚力对于集体的重要性，共享欢乐时光，共赴一场音乐的盛宴。

Language is a tool for communication. Learn to use English and turn it into beautiful songs to sing, such a form can not only show English elegant demeanor but also train students' expressive force. Students from grade one to grade six participated in the chorus competition as a unit of the class. They displayed their happiness, confidence and optimism, realized the importance of cohesion to the collectivity, shared happy moments and had a musical feast together.

The music makes people touched,

The chorus is stunning,

The English is amazing,

Today we are all the brightest stars.

在本次活动中，各班精心准备，别具匠心，不仅在队伍排列、服装、道具选择方面下足了功夫，在歌唱形式上也是创意十足，让观众和评委惊喜万分。成长在活动中的你们，每次都会让我们眼前一亮。

In this activity, each class prepared carefully and showed ingenuity. They not only made great efforts in line arrangement, costumes and props selection, but also made creative ideas in the form of singing, which surprised the audience and judges. As you grow up in the activity, you always shine our eyes.

The young hosts made the announcement in English, showing the audience the students' English skills.

比赛现场气氛活跃，精彩纷呈，高潮迭起，充分展现出华顿学子的蓬勃朝气与才华横溢，也体现出我校浓厚的艺术氛围和追求卓越的精神品质，赢得在场家长的赞赏。

The competition was held in an active, colorful and climaxing atmosphere, which not only fully demonstrated the vitality and talent of Walton students, but also reflected the strong artistic atmosphere and the pursuit of excellence in our school, which won the admiration of the parents present.

从策划到比赛完美落幕，我们收获的是一场视觉与听觉的盛宴;从选曲到排练再到比赛，你们收获的不仅仅是奖状。

From the planning to the perfect ending of the competition, it was a both audio and visual feast. From song selections to rehearsals to competitions, you will receive more than just awards.
