Dear parents/各位家长：

Thank you for your support during this semester.  Despite all challenges, we have overcome them and now look forward to a new and better start.  The 2020-2021 academic school year will be upon us in only two short months. To make it FIFA’s most successful year ever; we have already spent countless hours planning and organizing curriculum, resources, schedules and the hiring of new teachers. 

We want you to feel contented with your choice of our school, so in order to help you better understand our teaching strategies for the new academic year, we hold a parents information meeting last night, and introduced these informations to parents as follows:

首先感谢大家的支持！本学期虽然我们遇到了一些困难，所幸都已经克服。现在我们期待着一个新的更好的开始。2020-2021学年将在短短的两个月内到来。为了使这一年有一个全新的开始，我们花费了大量的时间来规划和组织课程、教学资源、课表安排和构建新教师团队。

为了帮助您更好地了解新学年的教学规划，对我们新学年的工作安排感到满意，我们在昨晚召开了线上家长会，并与家长们分享了如下内容：

Next, we would like to give a briefly introduction of the meeting through the wechat platform again.接下来，我们想通过微信平台再次与大家分享本次会议的主要内容。

1)Targetedteaching分层次教学安排

For the 2020/2021 school year, FIFA will implement targeted instruction for grades 4-9 in both Math and ELAclassrooms.  The intention is to use acombination of factors in placement for Blue or Green groups, including FASTbridge data, NWEA MAP scores, and classroomteacher recommendation. 

2020-2021学年，我们将面向4年级以上的学生提供英语/数学分层次走班教学。分层将基于FAST和MAP测试结果以及教师推荐，学生将根据数学和英语两科的学业表现被分为不同的学习小组。

Students can move fluidly between groups—for example, a student may be in the Green group for math instructionand the Blue group for ELA.  At the next assessment period, it may be found that the student can now join the Greengroup for both classes as they have mastered the concepts needed.The research shows that explicit direct instruction can benefit all learners, especially English-language-learners.

这种分层会根据学生的学业进展情况进行动态调整。比如：一个学生的数学可能在蓝组，但是英语可能在绿组学习。而进入到下一个测试周期时，学生有可能两科都能进入到绿组学习。研究表明：显性直接教学将使所有的学习者获益，尤其是英语语言学习。

2)Accelerated Math program 数学加速学习计划

In order to improve and integrate both advantages of China and the US mathematics teaching, and help talented students in mathematics to succeed, we will provide a three-year  acceleration plan to make our mathematics teaching performance equal to that of domestic public schools in three years. At the same time, we will also provide elective courses and mathematical competition activities to help talented students in mathematics get more opportunities for self challenge.

为了发挥中美两国各自在数学教学领域的优势，同时帮助数学有天份的同学取得成功，我校将从下一年开始提供一个三年数学加速计划，并计划在三年内，使我们的数学教学成绩能够与国内公立学校数学教学成绩持平。同时，我们还将提供竞赛数学选修课以及数学社团活动，帮助数学上有天份的同学获得更多的自我挑战机会。

3)ChineseLanguage+ChinaHumanity 中国大语文教学计划

Let our children become awell-rounded global citizen, with the foundation of Chinese and Westerncultural knowledge, and well rounded global talent of the future! this is school vision. In order to achieve this goal, our school has been trying and exploring the reform of Chinese teaching. At present, an enrichable Chinese teaching has been formed, which takes the national Chinese curriculum standard as the key point, the time axis of China's historical development and change as the main line, and integrates history, geography and a wide range of literary novels as the content.

培养孩子成为具有世界眼光、中西文化基础，素质全面、人格健全的未来人才是我校的培养目标。为了践行这一目标，我校不断尝试和探索大语文教学改革。目前已经形成了以国家语文课程标准为纲，以中国历史发展变迁时间轴为主线，融合历史、地理以及广泛的文史作品为内涵的大语文教学。

4)Academic planning for 6th grade and above

一对一学业路径规划

In order to help students to enter the dream university, it is necessary to arrange their academic plan as early as possible. The students who can enter the world's top universities have one common characteristic: they understand themselves, they know who they are and who they want to be, and how to work for it. Therefore, helping our students understand themselves is an important lesson in career planning from their middle schoo life. we are happy to  provide one-on-one free counseling for all students above grade sixth to plan early.

为了帮助学生能够进入到理想的大学，及早安排和规划自己的学习生活是有必要的。那些能够进入世界顶级名校的学生，都有一个共同的特质：那就是他们了解自己，明白自己想成为什么样的人，以及应该如何为此去努力。因此，从中学开始，帮助学生认识和了解自己，以及怎样成为更好的自己是生涯规划中的重要一课。学校也将为所有六年级以上的学生提供一对一免费咨询服务，帮助学生和家庭及早规划。

5)Teachers’ team for new school year 下学年教师安排

With the joint efforts of the team, we are happy to tell you that we have gradually built a team of International teachers with professional teaching background and rich teaching experience. They come from different teaching areas and will bring  creative and effective teaching for our students,a solid foundation to step forward to the world-renowned schools all over the world. and we are keep looking and horing professional teachers.

在团队的共同努力之下，我们很高兴地告诉大家：我们已经逐步构建了一支具有专业教学背景以及丰富教学经验的外教团队。他们来自不同的教学领域，将为我们的学生带来富有创意和不同风格的高质量的教学体验,帮助学校朝着世界一流学校的目标前进。我们还在持续的寻找和招聘专业的教师。

those are plans and things we have done, as we said We want you to feel contented with your choice of our school. 

6)Important notice for next year重要通知

From next year,  in order to improve teaching quality, weare going to order more online resources, including students account andteachers account, instead of paper textbooks. That give us more space to expandour teaching base on student center, not limited by textbooks. Of course, we will buy paper-based literature reading books and print out and copy plenty of paper materials for students. Be informed.

从下一年开始，为更好地提升教学品质，我们将为中学的学生和老师订购丰富的网上教学和学习资源，我们将不再订购某一种纸质的教材，这样做的好处是：我们可以更好的以学生为中心开展教学，而不受限于教材。当然我们会为学生购买纸质的阅读书籍,打印复印各种学习材料，请家长知悉这个安排。
