在今年举行的UKMT-IMC英国数学测评中，中山市弘科未来学校国际化融合高中部的高一学子首战告捷，凭借卓越的数学才华和扎实的学科知识斩获了1金1铜，实现了获奖率百分百的辉煌战绩！

This year, G10 students from the International High School of Ardingly College Zhongshan participated in UKMT's IMC UK Mathematics Assessment for the first time and won 1 gold and 1 bronze award, with an award rate of 100%.

IMC是什么竞赛？

IMC（Intermediate Mathematical Challenge）是UKMT赛事体系中面向10年级(高一)及以下年级学生的英国数学中级挑战赛。旨在培养学生的证明推理能力和数学表达能力，学生在获得丰富数学经验的同时，更能享受到数学逻辑背后的奥秘。

IMC (Intermediate Mathematical Challenge) is an intermediate mathematics challenge in the UKMT competition system aimed at 10th grade students (first year of high school) and below in the UK. Intended to cultivate students' ability to prove reasoning and mathematical expression, students not only enrich their mathematical experience, but also enjoy the mysteries behind mathematical logic. UKMT is the largest and most influential national mathematics competition organization in the UK.

剑桥官方公布的《超·课外活动清单》中，为各个专业推荐了相应的高含金量竞赛。

The official list of extracurricular activities released by Cambridge University recommends corresponding high value competitions for various majors.

针对数学专业，剑桥大学首要推荐了UKMT英国数学挑战。

For mathematics majors, the University of Cambridge primarily recommends UKMT UK Mathematics Challenge.

UKMT（United Kingdom Mathematics Trust）成立于1996年，是英国规模最大和最具影响力的全球性的数学竞赛组织，其所开展的数学竞赛活动在业内享有盛誉。UKMT每年会为11-18周岁的学生按照不同年龄层设置不同的数学测评活动，吸引了众多来自全球的学生参与。

UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) was founded in 1996 and is the largest and most influential global mathematics competition organization in the UK. Its mathematics competition activities are renowned in the industry. UKMT sets up different mathematics assessment activities for students aged 11-18 each year according to different age groups, attracting numerous students from around the world to participate.

UKMT鼓励数学推理、思维的精确性以及使用基本数学技术解决有趣问题的影响力。在UKMT组织的众多数学挑战中，规模最大和最具影响力的是初级、中级和高级数学挑战（JMC/IMC/SMC），每年有来自6,000所学校的超过700,000份参赛作品，是英国最受欢迎的全国性学校数学挑战。

UKMT encourages mathematical reasoning, precision in thinking, and the influence of using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. Among the numerous mathematical challenges organized by UKMT, the largest and most influential are the Junior, Intermediate, and Advanced Mathematical Challenge (JMC/IMC/SMC), with over 70,0000 entries from 6,000 schools each year, making it the most popular national school mathematics challenge in the UK.

Applying to world-renowned schools requires multiple rounds of selection. Among students’ numerous supporting application documents, winning global heavyweight competition awards often sets students apart. Therefore, I encourage students to actively participate in every mathematics competition and arrange corresponding preparation and guidance plans for them. This time, I am very happy that two classmates have achieved such excellent results. This undoubtedly makes them feel the joy of mathematics, stimulates their curiosity to actively study, and enables them to compete with outstanding students from around the world in a fair manner on the same stage. It also lays a solid foundation for future learning, elevates their academic background, and increases their competitive advantage in applying to world-renowned schools.
