The overarching reason we hold this special week each year is inspired by a quote from a famous Australian author, Mem Fox.

You see, we think of our library as a chocolate factory. Rather than giving a child an external treat for reading, we light up the reward system of a child's brain by offering a book (chocolate) as the reward. This special week pays homage to this!

我们将图书馆视为巧克力工厂。我们不会因为孩子读了书而给予他们外部奖励，相反，我们是通过提供图书(巧克力)作为奖励，来点亮孩子大脑的奖励系统。这个特别的一周就是向这一点致敬!

This year, the theme of Book Week is

‘Brain, brain, let's explain!’

The entire preschool foyer is set up with intentional areas, highlighting the brain in a way that is interesting, tangible and accessible for very young children.
