——记录SHBS教师职业培训课

疫情未退,宏润博源一周线上教师培训却热烈地进行着。教学处准备了线上开课操作培训、课程布置等。

Although the spread of the epidemic has not yet died down, the teachers of SHBS were enthusiastically engaged in the week-long online professional training. The administrators in office of academic affairs had planned online training sessions on how to teach online.











重点是,教师职业规划培训课亮了!简直惊到了大家!

注意,看清楚咯:小编用了“惊到”这个词,培训课这么严肃,会不会是“惊倒”了老师们?

不是!

可以这么说,这一课有“通电”的感觉。

All faculty members were deeply impressed by the career planning sessions in particular.








Chris校长布置了什么课题?

What topic for discussion did Principal Chris assign us?

是什么让我们来到上海宏润博源学校,成为这里的老师?是什么引导了我们的人生旅程,塑造了我们的意志?

What brought us to SHBS, to be teachers in this community? What has guided our journeys and shaped our purpose?

这么严肃的人生大课题!Chris校长的“用心”是什么呢?

What on earth did Principal Chris drive at when he assigned such a serious topic of life?

我们老师两人一组,分享各自的人生故事——高峰、低谷和转折点——以及这些经历中我们的情绪和自我认识。在反思和整理自己看待事物的不同角度后,每个人分享了八张照片——很少或没有文字说明——讲述了一个自我认识的故事。

In pairs, we shared our own life narratives - highs and lows, turning points - and the various emotions and self-understanding that marked those experiences. From that reflection and the perspectives gained, everyone then shared eight pictures - with little or no text - while telling a story that reflected their sense of self.

你看,大郭、小郭又有新创意,将自己的成长与上海的发展连在一起,将自己怀孕的状态用甲骨文描绘出来;X展示自己实验室完成博士论文的照片,Chuman老师自豪地夸耀她从家乡潮州走来;当某老师某照片背景上显示某处山水,立刻有老师惊喜地回应:

那是我的家乡!

这一刻,人与人的距离近了。即使跨越天南海北,即使隔着视频,却感觉从未有过的亲近。

Mr.and Mrs.Guo, a couple, told their life stories creatively by associating their own life experiences with the development of Shanghai and by telling us Mrs.Guo’s pregnancy with the help of oracle-bone inscriptions; Jessie showed photos taken when she was working on her doctoral dissertation in her lab; Chuman was very proud that she was from Chaozhou, her hometown; when someone showed a photo against the background of a certain landscape, someone else responded surprisingly: That’s my hometown!





B从小喜欢舞蹈,但选择工作时却一直感觉“那不是我想要的”,于是来到中国宏润博源学校;S说,学校的生活环境和教学氛围令他对自己满意,找到了让心安居的地方;M是美术老师,他告诉我们很想回到舞台表演;J说他有很多恐惧,爬长城怕高,养育孩子怕教育不好,可长城已攀登,孩子们也长大了,哦,你猜对了,那就是在我校被称为“开心果”的外教。

这一刻,心与心的沟通畅了。即使明天相遇你还是那个样貌,此刻,彼此,照见一个卸下端庄之后的“真”我。

Though Betina loved dancing since she was a child, she kept feeling that dancing wasn’t really what she wanted to pursue when it came to choosing an occupation. Therefore, she came to teach in SHBS, China. Steven said he was pleased with the school’s living environment and academic atmosphere and it was a place where he could settle down. Morris, our art teacher, told us that he was eager to go back onto the stage to give performances;Justin, our happy-go-lucky,worried too much. For example, he told us when he visited the Great Wall, he feared that it was too high for him to climb to the top. Besides, he feared that it wouldn’t be easy to educate his kids. Eventually, nevertheless, he conquered the Great Wall and his kids had grown up.

  After sharing our life stories, we found it easier for us to communicate with each other by showing our true selves.



在视频中,看见老师们柔软到心底的那一面,几位老师挂着孩子的照片,那还是黑白老照片,多么久远的记忆;

During the training sessions, many teachers revealed their gentle human feelings by posting some old back and white photos of their kids, bringing back distant memories.

生活、孩子和家,是我们宏润博源老师的原动力;

Our life, our kids and our family are what have been motivating the faculty of SHBS.


今天在宏润博源又找到了一份亲近工作的助推力,找到了另一个“心的家”。

Now, we have found another motivation to work harder,and we have found a community where we can settle down.

你和我的经历中,我们的体验和经验交汇了。你的经历给了我成长的启迪,我的生命里开始有了你;这就是宏润博源职业规划培训课的意义,开启了心心相映,互为照见的一课。

By sharing our life experiences, we got enlightened and inspired by each other. The significance of faculty professional training sessions lies in the achievements of a closer relationship and mutual affinity among faculty members.





还是用Chris校长的话结束本文:

确实,我们非常关注学生的成长和发展,关注他们的目标和对未来的计划——为了更有效地做到这一点,我们作为教师也必须要认识到自己的人生要务,以及我们与他人互动的方式。

Indeed, we concentrate a great deal on students' growth and development, their goals and plans for the future—and to do so effectively and engagingly, we too as a faculty must discover our own priorities and how we engage with others.
