祝贺我校学校12年级Cindy X在2021年Brain Bee脑科学大赛地区赛上海区中荣获二等奖，并晋级全国赛。在此次Brain Bee脑科学大赛中，她与两千余名学生竞争，成功赢得晋级全国赛的资格，学校在此再次向她表示祝贺。

Cindy X from Y12 participated in the 2021 Brain Bee Championship in Shanghai Division competing with more than two thousand students from different schools. We are delighted to get the news that she had placed as second prize, and has been qualified into the next national round. Congratulations!

Brain Bee脑科学大赛是一项面向全球青少年的竞赛。比赛旨在鼓励学生对研究人类大脑的兴趣，今后从事相关的工作，改善人类健康和生活水平。比赛由美国心理学协会（American Psychological Association, APA）、欧洲神经科学学会（Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, FENS）、神经科学学会（Society of Neuroscience, SfN）、美国Dana基金会和国际脑学科研究组织（International Brain Research Organization, IBRO）联合主办。

Neuroscience (or neurobiology) is the scientific study of the nervous system. It is a multidisciplinary science that combines biology, medicine, psychology, chemistry, mathematical modeling and even philosophy.

The mission of Brain Bee is open to teenagers, and to motivate young people to learn about the brain and to inspire them to pursue careers in neuroscience so they can help treat and find cures for brain disorders. The competition is organized by American Psychological Association, Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, Society of Neuroscience and International Brain Research Organization.
