本期高藤TALK中,在教师分享环节,我们伴随着Claude Springer的讲解,了解陪伴了地球45亿年的月亮,探索它的前世今生,领略它在时间长河中的风采。

In this SMCS Talk, with Claude Springer's explanation, we will learn about the moon that has accompanied the earth for 4.5 billion years, explore its past and present lives, and appreciate its charm in the river of time.

一种解释月球形成原因及过程的假说,也可用于谈论金星及火星等类地行星的卫星形成。该假说认为在45亿年前,地球和一颗火星大小的天体发生撞击,残留的碎片形成了月球。这颗撞击地球的天体成为忒伊亚,这名字是希腊泰坦神话里月神塞勒涅的母亲之名。

A hypothesis that explains how and why the moon formed. It also applies to the  formation of the moons of the Earth-like planets Venus and Mars. The hypothesis is that the moon was formed by debris left over from a collision between Earth and a Mars-sized body 4.5 billion years ago. The object that struck Earth became Theia, after the mother of Selene, the goddess of the moon, in Greek Titan mythology.

Evidences and Faults



大碰撞说是目前最受青睐的科学假说,支撑证据包括:地球自转和公转方向相同、月球曾今拥有熔融态的表面、月球拥有较小的铁核且密度比地球低。

The impact is currently the most popular scientific hypothesis, supported by evidence that the Earth rotates in the same direction as it orbits, that the moon once had a molten surface, and that the moon has a smaller iron core and is less dense than Earth.


有其他行星系统发生类似的碰撞得到的证据(即导致岩屑盘)、符合主流的太阳系形成理论。最后,月球和地球拥有的稳定同位素比率是相同的,这就意味着相同的起源。

There is evidence of similar collisions in other planetary systems (i.e. resulting in debris disks), consistent with the prevailing theory of solar system formation. Finally, the moon and Earth have the same stable isotope ratio, which means the same origin.


尽管是目前的月球形成假说,大碰撞说仍存在一些缺陷。理论上,大碰撞产生的高温会形成全球性的岩浆海,然而,没有证据能够证明较重的物质因此沉入地幔。目前,没有模型能够对于从发生大碰撞到形成月球的过程做出完美的解释。其问题包括,月球何时开始失去挥发性物质,以及同样发生过碰撞的金星为何没有卫星。

Despite being the best hypothesis for how the moon formed, the giant impact theory still has some flaws. In theory, the heat from the impact would have created a global ocean of magma, but there is no evidence that heavier material sank into the mantle as a result. Currently, there is no model that perfectly explains the process from the impact to the formation of the moon. Questions include when the moon began to lose its volatile material and why Venus, which also had a collision, has no moons.

文化挪用的本意,近似于文化剽窃,就是将本不属于本地的异域或其他民族的文化资源借用过来,从而对本地的文化形成影响,也创造出新的文化产品和现象。

The original intention of cultural appropriation, similar to cultural plagiarism, is to borrow the cultural resources of foreign countries or other nations that do not belong to the local, so as to have an impact on the local culture and create new cultural products and phenomena.


文化交流与元素借鉴本是常事,然而,借鉴应该建立在对其他文化尊重的态度之上,更应认可其他民族文化对创作产生的积极意义。

Cultural exchange and element reference are common things. However, reference should be based on the attitude of respect for other cultures, and more importantly, the positive significance of other national cultures to creation should be recognized.


中国传统文化被日韩挪用

Chinese traditional culture was appropriated by Japan and South Korea


韩国人偷走我们的中秋节,新年,在外网上大肆宣传中秋节是属于亚洲的节日,起源于韩国。

The Koreans stole our Chuseok, New Year's Day, and advertised on the Internet that Chuseok is an Asian holiday that originated in Korea.


日本二战期间偷走我们的中医书,对药的配方申请了专利,以至于现在中国人用中国人的药,要给日本人交钱。

The Japanese stole our Chinese medicine books during WWII and patented the formula of the medicine, so now the Chinese use Chinese medicine and have to pay the Japanese.


文化被挪用,日本国民积极发声

Culture is being appropriated, and the Japanese people are speaking out


美国明星金卡戴珊注册kimono 这个代表和服的词作为自己的品牌名。

Us celebrity Kim Kardashian has registered Kimono, which stands for kimono, as her brand name.


但是由于kimono在日本是和服的意思,日本网民在网络上进行抗议,把话题刷上了全球热搜。迫使其放弃这个名字。

But since kimono means kimono in Japan, Japanese netizens took to the Internet to protest, turning the topic into a global trending search. To force it to drop the name.


日本国民能够有这种保护自己本国文化的意识,是非常值得学习的。

It is worth learning that Japanese people can have such awareness of protecting their own culture.


保护本国文化,绝不矫枉过正

Protect traditional culture,

 never overprotect


但是在反对文化挪用时,不能矫枉过正。一名美国高中生穿着旗袍参加毕业晚会,却被人辱骂其文化挪用。许多喜欢指控别人文化挪用的左派人士希望大家都尊重彼此的文化,不要去冒犯别国的文化,或许他们的出发点是好的,但是这样做根本无法达到他们的目的,这样只会把跟多对我们的文化有善意的人拒之门外。我们需要的是交流与沟通,而不是给无辜的人扣上文化挪用这顶大帽子。

But in the fight against cultural appropriation, one must not overdo it. A US high school student who wore a qipao to a graduation party was called out for cultural appropriation. Many leftists who like to accuse others of cultural appropriation want everyone to respect each other's culture and not to offend other cultures. They may have good intentions, but they will not achieve their goals. They will only keep out many people who have good intentions for our culture. What we need is communication and communication, not cultural appropriation of innocent people.


希望我们都可以维护好我们自己的文化,让文化与文化交流沟通。
