炎炎夏日里，我额头滴落的汗水是苦涩的。艳阳高照下，饮水机中的水是甘甜的。

Amid the scorching summer days, the drops of sweat trickling down my forehead tasted bitter. Under the blazing sun, the water from the cooler tasted sweet.

夏日的暖风从首都吹向魔都，我追随夏风的脚步来到了太阳岛。也许是因为天气的炎热，恍惚中我竟真觉得自己离太阳又近了几分。在这里我感到前所未有的劳累，在太阳高照下射箭，玩嘎嘎球，甚至在攀岩时把手和腿都磨伤。但也是在这里，我感到前所未有的自由和快乐：是与朋友一起制作担架的收获与成长；是达人秀上大家的欢声笑语；也是用餐时老师和同学们的载歌载舞。虽然在第二天时，阴霾遮住了阳光，但我知道，风雨过后就是彩虹。

As the warm summer breeze traveled from the capital to the bustling city, I followed its footsteps to Sun Island. Perhaps due to the heat, I somehow felt closer to the sun. Here, I experienced an unprecedented level of fatigue, shooting arrows under the blazing sun, playing "gaga" ball, and even getting my hands and legs scraped while rock climbing. However, it was also here that I felt an unparalleled sense of freedom and joy: the reward and growth from crafting stretchers with friends, the cheers and laughter during the talent show, and the singing and dancing with teachers and classmates during meals. Even though the second day brought overcast skies, I knew that after the rain comes the rainbow.

在这次体验营中，我在汗水里体验精彩，也在雨水中疾驰奔跑。我透过汗水和雨水，看见了彩虹。

In this orientation camp, I reveled in sweat and raced through rainwater. Through sweat and rain, I saw rainbows.

“攀岩”，顾名思义就是沿着一面装有塑料突起的墙壁往上爬，直到碰到最高点的铃铛。一开始，我选择了最困难的赛道。“左脚，右脚；左手，右手……”我在心里默念，身体也一点一点往上爬。“呼、呼……”我的喘息越来越重，不得不在半空中稍作歇息。抬头看了一眼之后，我突然发现自己距终点只有大概三米的距离。我把手往上一抓，脚一蹬，开始继续往上爬。在距离终点大概两米处，我没有找到继续往上爬的路径，在尝试许久后，不得不回到地面。从攀岩活动中，我学到了我们都应该要有持之以恒的毅力以及做事都要做到最好的决心。

"Rock climbing," as the name suggests, involves climbing up a wall with protruding plastic holds until reaching the bell at the highest point. Initially, I chose the most challenging route. "Left foot, right foot; left hand, right hand..." I recited silently in my mind, gradually ascending. "Huff, huff..." My breath grew heavier, and I had to rest briefly in mid-air. After looking up, I suddenly realized I was only about three meters away from the finish line. I reached up with my hand, pushed off with my foot, and continued climbing. Around two meters from the finish line, I couldn't find a path to continue upward. After numerous attempts, I had to return to the ground. From the rock climbing activity, I learned that we all need persistence and the determination to excel in everything we do.

之后，我们体验了“Gaga Ball”，据说是美国海军陆战队士兵在空闲时间消遣的游戏。游戏的规则是只要球击打到了任何人膝盖以下的部位，被打的那个人就出局了。我尽全力地闪避着每一次攻击，但是遗憾出局。在团战环节中，我的队伍以2-1的分数赢得了比赛，这让我意识到预先制定好计划的重要性。

Later, we experienced "Gaga Ball," said to be a game that U.S. Marines play in their free time. The game's rule is simple: if the ball hits any part of a person's body below the knee, that person is out. I did my best to dodge each attack, but I was unfortunately eliminated. In the team competition, my team won with a score of 2-1, which made me realize the importance of planning ahead.

除此之外，还有许多的活动，让我感受到了团队协作、领导力、耐心、毅力等品质的重要性。总之，从这次拓展活动，我学到了很多。我将在日后的学习中培养这些重要的品质，努力做得更好。

Aside from that, there were many other activities that made me realize the importance of qualities such as teamwork, leadership, patience, and perseverance. In short, I learned a lot from this expansion activity. I will cultivate these essential qualities in my future studies and strive to do even better.
