奔跑吧，美达菲少年！

书本是我们认识世界的第一眼，走出课堂，才能够更真实地触摸到世界的样子。美达菲夏令营以兴趣为教材，以自然为课堂，将日常课程教学与综合素质提升相结合，为学生提供认识世界的不同路径。从校园走向世界，从书本走向未来。

本次美达菲夏令营活动丰富多彩，在日常学术衔接课之外，设置了不少ECA课程供学生选择，例如篮球、游泳、摄影、啦啦操、心理沙盘、墙画、手工扭扭乐、攀岩等十余种精彩课程。参加上海之鱼5KM徒步、游览海湾国家森林公园、参观上海航海博物馆等的外出拓展活动带领学生走出课堂，亲近自然，提高了综合素质。科技讲座、电影赏析、升学讲座与日常学习生活劳逸结合，寓教于乐，提前使学生更了解清晰未来三年的学习规划。

We have provided various activities for this summer camp. In addition to the daily academic courses, there are many ECA courses for students to choose from, such as basketball, swimming, photography, cheerleading exercise, mental sand table, wall painting, handicraft twister, rock climbing and more than ten wonderful courses. Participating in the Shanghai Fish 5KM hike, visiting the Gulf National Forest Park, visiting Shanghai Maritime Museum and other activities led students to go out of the classroom, get close to nature, and improve their comprehensive quality. The combinatin of science and technology lectures, film appreciation, college admission lectures  with daily study and life reflects the principle of “teaching through activities” and makes students better understand the study plan for the next three years.

校园因同学们的到来焕发出新的生机！篮球场上少年们热情洋溢，充满活力。他们随着心中的节奏奔跑、跳跃，将球场变成更加壮观的舞台！激昂的呐喊，胜利的渴望，团队的协作，谱成一曲最美的青春赞歌！游泳馆、羽毛球场、乒乓球台上亦散发着青春活力。奔跑吧，美达菲少年！

The campus is full of new life because of the arrival of students! The boys on the basketball court are enthusiastic and full of energy. They run and jump with the rhythm of their hearts, turning the stadium into a more spectacular stage! Passionate cry, the desire for victory, the cooperation of the team, have composed a paean of the youth! Swimming pool, badminton court, table tennis table are also filled with youthful vitality. Run, Macduffie students!

在学生宿舍旁有一面墙画墙，在这新学期到来前已被改头换面，同学们迸发无限创想为这面墙增添了一件件“新衣裳”。

There is a painting wall next to the student dormitory, which has been transformed before the arrival of this new semester, and the students have an infinite creativity to add a "new dress" to this wall.

手工扭扭乐的课堂总是充满欢声笑语，同学们跟着指导老师的步骤一步步完成自己的小作品，看着这么可爱的“小鹅”和“小鸭子”诞生在自己手中心里成就感拉满！

Hand twister class is always full of laughter. Students follow the instructor step by step to complete their own small works. Looking at such a lovely "gosling" and "duckling" born in their own hands, the students’ hearts are filled with sense of accomplishment!

初来乍到的同学们对这座美丽的校园还保留新鲜感和探索欲，每周的摄影课正是他们拿着相机去探索记录美好瞬间的好时候！看看同学们镜头下的美达菲是不是有点不一样呢，颇有小小摄影师初长成之范呐！

Students who are new to this beautiful campus still retain a sense of freshness and eagerness of exploration, and the weekly photography class is a good time for them to explore and record beautiful moments with their cameras! Is Macduffie under students’ camera a bit different!

三次外出实践拓展活动不仅使同学之间更熟悉彼此增进了友谊，更使同学们在实践中成长。

The three outings not only make the students more familiar with each other to enhance friendship, but also enable them to  grow up in practice.

皮划艇项目中，同学们感受到团队协作的力量，在炎热的天气下坚持到底，没有一位同学因为疲惫而提前放弃。中途的团建游戏很好地配合教练完成了皮划艇列队合影留念，更有三位同学勇敢出战，完成在皮划艇上快步行走的挑战！

In the canoeing project, the students felt the power of teamwork and persevered in the hot weather, and no student gave up early because of fatigue. The team building game during the break provided a good opportunity to the coach to take a picture of the whole kayak queue. And three students volunteered to take the challenge of walking on the kayak queue, who were so brave!

了解一个城市除了鸟瞰风景，更应该到这座城市的博物馆去看看。上海航海博物馆是我国规模最大、等级最高的专题类航海博物馆，在这里可以感受与曾经那个时代的联系，寻找历史的脉络，身临其境感受百年航海史。同学们自成参观学习小组，沉浸式打卡并互相分享了自己的参观体会。

Besides a bird's view, you should also visit the city's museums to get to know a city. Shanghai Navigation Museum is the largest and highest level of thematic navigation museum in China, where you can feel the connection with the era, find the context of history, and experience the century-old maritime history. The students formed their own visiting groups, and shared their experiences with each other.

在夏令营结营仪式上，上海美达菲校长王东焕先生和外方学术副校长David Scoggins先生分别对同学们在这三周的表现提出表扬，提到此次夏令营活动不仅增强了学生的身体素质和运动技能，还让学生们在活动中感受到运动的快乐，在运动中懂得团结与协作，在参与中学会拼搏，在快乐中取得进步，丰富了美达菲学子们的体育文化生活。

At the closing ceremony of the summer camp, Mr. Wang Donghuan, Principal of Shanghai MacDuffie , and Mr. David Scoggins, Vice Principal of Foreign Academic Affairs, respectively praised the students' performance in the past three weeks, mentioning that the summer camp activity not only enhanced the students' physical fitness and sports skills, but also made the students feel the joy of sports in the activity. They know unity and cooperation in sports, learn to work hard in participation, and make progress in happiness, which has enriched the sports and cultural life of Macduffie students.
