选修课宣讲

2023年秋季学期伊始，为了丰富同学们的课余生活，上海宏润博源学校为同学们提供丰富多彩的选修课程。9月8日下午，同学们齐聚礼堂，聆听老师们的选修课宣讲，当天共有55门课程进行了宣讲。

At the beginning of the fall semester of 2023, in order to enrich the after-school life of students, SHBS offers a variety of elective courses for students. On the afternoon of September 8th, students gathered in the auditorium to listen to the teachers' elective courses. A total of 55 courses were presented on that day.

在Liz老师的“Drawing for fun!”课上，同学们可以进行艺术创作；在郭老师(Winnie)的“Fun Reading”课上，同学们可以阅读有趣的书籍；如果对《波西杰克逊》感兴趣，则可以与Zagrya老师一同探索《波西杰克逊》书中的希腊世界。此外，刘老师的音乐课能帮助同学们提升音乐素养；George老师的“卡拉OK咖啡馆”则帮助同学们放松身心。林老师和俞老师合办的“创业孵化”将为学生带来独特的创业体验；刘老师的年鉴课则为学生提供了记录学校活动的机会。

In Ms. Liz's "Drawing for fun!" class, students can create art. In Ms. Winnie's "Fun Reading" class, students can read fun books. If they are interested in Percy Jackson, they can explore the Greek world in Percy Jackson with Ms. Zagrya. In addition, Will’s music class helps students improve their musical skills, while George's "Karaoke Café" helps students relax and unwind. Chuman and Grace's "Business Incubation" will provide students with a unique entrepreneurial experience, and Yan's yearbook class will provide students with the opportunity to document school activities.

体育类的选修课程中，同学们可以探索运动的乐趣。挥拍的优雅、划桨的刺激、马术课上快乐驰骋、瑜伽课上伸展身体……此外，攀岩、乒乓、网球、巴西柔术和赛艇等也纳入了选修课程。郭老师的“跟随刘畊宏锻炼”课程则紧跟互联网潮流，探索新潮锻炼方式。

Students can explore the joys of exercise in the elective programs of Physical Education. The elegance of swinging a racket, the excitement of paddling, the joy of galloping in equestrian classes, and stretching in yoga classes are all included in the elective program. What’s more, rock-climbing, ping-pong, tennis, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and rowing are also included in the elective programs. Ms. Winnie's "Exercise with GengHong Liu" course follows the trend of the Internet and explores new and trendy ways of exercising.

如果同学们对学术或教育领域感兴趣，他们可以参加谢老师的“金融市场交易入门”，或投身Joshua老师的“模拟联合国项目”，锻炼金融思维和国际事务解决能力。如果热衷于语言和辩论，计老师的英语辩论课程以及雅思备考课程将提升你的语言表达能力。Chris校长则会在“Writing yourself :The personal Essay”课程中带同学们展开文书创作之旅。此外，学校还提供ACSL培训、SAT考试准备、时事新闻分析等多个精彩的学术课程。对于数学和科学爱好者，朱老师的“物理碗竞赛加速器”以及顾老师的“AP微积分BC”课程将为他们提供有力的支持。

If students are interested in academics or education, they can participate in Bo’s "Introduction to Financial Markets Trading" or join  Joshua's "MUN (Model United Nations) Program" to practice financial thinking and international problem solving skills. If you are keen on language and debate, Mabel's English Debate course and IELTS preparation course will enhance your language skills, while Chris will take you on a creative journey in "Writing yourself: The Personal Essay". In addition, the school offers several exciting academic programs such as ACSL training, SAT test preparation, and current news analysis. For math and science enthusiasts, Davy's "Physics Bowl Accelerator" and David's "Sihao Gu's AP Calculus BC" courses will provide strong support for academic enthusiasts.

于老师的“你好，法国”将带同学们体验法语学习的乐趣；“中国文化趣谈”、“中文现代流行歌曲”和“中文演讲与辩论”等课程则带同学们了解走进中国传统文化，感受文化魅力。对战后流行文化感兴趣的同学可以跟随Rita老师一同探索历史的潮流；王老师的“中国哲学”、吴老师的“中国先秦哲学思想史问题研究”将带领同学们深入研究东方哲学思想。另外，学校还提供“日语语言和翻译”、“口译”、“设计思维”等课程，帮助同学们在文化和创意领域取得新的突破。

Karen's "Hello France" will bring students to the wonders of French language. "Chinese Culture Talks", "Chinese Modern Pop Songs" and "Chinese Speech and Debate" will bring students into the traditional Chinese culture and feel the charm of the culture. Students interested in post-war pop culture can explore historical trends with Rita, while Tony Wang's "Chinese Philosophy" course and Mr Wu's "Study of Issues in the History of Chinese Pre-Qin Philosophy and Thoughts" take students on an in-depth study of Eastern philosophical thought. Furthermore, the school offers courses such as "Japanese Language and Translation," "Interpretation," and “Design Thinking”, which assist students in exploring new frontiers in the realms of cultural and creative fields.

此外，学校也同样重视学生的心理与健康，提供了一系列有趣的课程。吴老师将引导学生进行“生命的探索”，提供“占星学”、“色彩心理学”、“塔罗占卜”和“植物芳香疗法”等课程，帮助同学们更好地理解自己，关注内心的平衡与健康。

Additionally, the school also emphasizes on students' psychology and health, and provides a series of interesting courses. Selina will guide students in "Exploration of Life" and provide courses such as "Astrology", "Color Psychology", "Tarot Astrology", "Color Psychology", "Tarot" and "Botanical Aromatherapy" to help students better understand themselves and focus on their inner balance and health.

为使有专业需求的同学们也能选到心仪课程，学校还聘请校外老师，为学生们提供CRCC超级人工智能活动、思维竞赛、学术探索等相关课程，最大程度上为同学们的全面发展保驾护航。学校始终坚持兴趣教育、鼓励教育。这不仅体现在丰富多彩的选修课上，更表现在学校的方方面面。学校始终坚信，最合适的，最感兴趣的，就是最好的。

To accommodate students with specialized needs in course selection, the school also collaborates with external educators to offer CRCC Super Artificial Intelligence activities, Thinking Contests, Academic Explorations, and other relevant courses. These initiatives aim to maximize the holistic development of students. SHBS consistently upholds its commitment to interest-based education and encouragement, which is evident not only in the diverse range of elective courses but also in every facet of the school. SHBS firmly believes that what is most suitable and intriguing is ultimately the best approach.
