继上学期的水主题研究宣讲之后,在科学组老师们的带领下,IG1的学生们在十月参与了由浦东新区水文水资源管理事务中心主办的“水资源保护”第二课堂,从水文讲堂到水质取样再到实验分析,全方位地体验了水质工作者的一天。

Last semester, our IG1 students conducted research and delivered a presentation on the topic of "Water." Building upon this, in October, we furthered our exploration of water through a Science field trip. During this trip, our students actively participated in the "Water Resources Protection" project organized by the Shanghai Pudong Hydrologic & Water Resources Department. They had the opportunity to attend informative lectures, gather water samples, and engage in thorough analysis of these samples.

活动中,同学们分为两组,在工作人员带领下参观了实验基地的样品储藏室、物理处理室、原子荧光室、原子吸收室、流动注射室和离子色谱室,实验基地讲解员结合实验室工作,向同学们详细讲解了各类水质检测仪器操作方法和相关小知识。

During the activity, students were divided into two groups and had the opportunity to visit different areas of the experimental base. These areas included the sample storage room, physical processing room, atomic fluorescence room, atomic absorption room, flow injection room, and ion chromatography room. The lab instructor provided detailed explanations to the students about the functioning of various water quality testing instruments and imparted relevant knowledge.


水文知识讲堂 Lecture

在水文知识讲堂里,讲解员图文并茂地向同学们介绍了浦东新区水资源概况、水环境治理情况及单位职责,为同学们普及节约和保护水资源的知识,培养节约用水意识。

In the lecture on hydrology, the presenter used vivid images and text to give an overview of the water resources in Pudong New Area, the situation of water environment management, and the responsibilities of the department. The aim was to educate students about water conservation and protection and raise their awareness of water conservation.


水文检测实践 Experiment

随后,同学们行至赵家沟河岸旁,讲解员们结合自然环境模拟了极端天气下的水文应急监测的情境。现场讲解并展示塔尺、水准仪、雨量器等水文监测设备的操作流程,引导同学们亲自动手实验,亲身体会传统水文监测工作。

Subsequently, the students walked to the bank of Zhaojiagou River, where the guides utilize natural environment to simulate the scenario of hydrological emergency monitoring under extreme weather conditions. They provided on-site explanations and demonstrated the operation process of hydrological monitoring equipment such as staff gauges, leveling instruments, and rain gauges. The students were guided to conduct hands-on experiments and personally experience traditional hydrological monitoring work.


通过本次户外教学活动,同学们得以走进水文水资源保护领域,提升了他们节约水资源、保护水生态的意识和能力,更增添了一份保护水资源的使命感。

This science field trip provided students with an opportunity to delve into the field of hydrology and water resources protection. By participating in this trip, students were able to enhance their awareness and develop skills in conserving water resources and protecting water ecosystems. Additionally, the experience instilled a sense of mission among the students to actively contribute to the preservation of water resources.
