走出课堂 穿林跃岭| 美达菲学子挑战爱丁堡公爵铜奖户外探索活动
初冬天微寒，橙香橘黄，霜晴冻叶，正是同学们走出课堂，拥抱大自然的绝佳时节。
Early winter is slightly cold with oranges turning lovely yellow and frost wrapping leaves. It is the perfect time for students to step out of the classroom and embrace nature.
参加爱丁堡公爵铜奖的上海美达菲学子们，前往杭州桐庐瑶琳，开启了为期四天三夜户外探索活动。在旅程中，他们经历了什么样的波折？又收获了什么样的惊喜？一起来看看吧~

爱丁堡公爵国际奖
爱丁堡公爵国际奖面向13-24岁的年轻人，是世界顶尖的青年成就奖项，旨在能够让不同背景的年轻人培养生活必备技能，提升领导力、团队合作能力和自信心等软技能，找到自己的目标兴趣以及在世界中的一席之地。创立60多年以来，该奖项已激励了来自130多个国家和地区的数百万年轻人改变自己的生活。参与这一奖项是对自我的挑战，而非与他人的竞争。它可以鞭策青年们走出舒适区，挑战自我。
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award oriented to youth aged 13-24 is the world's leading award for the achievements of young people, designed to enable young people from all backgrounds to develop essential life skills, develop soft skills such as leadership, teamwork and self-confidence, and find their purpose, interests and place in the world. Since its inception of more than 60 years ago, the awards have inspired millions of young people from more than 130 countries and territories to change their lives. Participating in this award is a challenge to yourself, not a competition with others. It can push young people out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves.
2023年，上海美达菲获得国际青年成就奖——爱丁堡公爵国际奖（The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award）官方授权，正式成为该奖项在中国的独立运营中心之一。
In 2023, Shanghai Macduffie won The official authorization of The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award for International Youth Achievement, and officially became one of the independent operation centers of the award in China.
出发！Go！
第一天的行程，干货满满，同学们在老师的指导下，学习看地图、看指南针、计算距离、计算时间、搭帐篷这些户外探索生存必备技能。同时，也学习了如何使用户外炉具生火做饭等基础技能，在学习的过程中也能培养孩子们安全、保护环境等意识。
On the first day of the trip, the students harvested a lot. Under the guidance of the teacher, they learned to read the map, read the compass, calculate the distance, calculate the time, and set up tents, which are essential skills for outdoor exploration and survival. At the same time, they also learned how to use outdoor stoves to cook and other basic skills, and their awareness of safety and environmental protection were cultivated in the process of learning.
开启户外探索之旅
四天内大家完成了练习旅程和资格旅程两大考验。同学们需要背好自己的帐篷，户外炉具等物资，从营地出发回到酒店，把第一天的学习内容付诸实践，掌握如何看地图辨别方向等技能。
On the second and third day, came the real test when the outdoor exploration was officially started. Within four days, we completed two challenges including the practice journey and the qualification journey. The students set off from the camp and went back to the hotel, having to carry their tents, outdoor stoves and other materials on their backs. They put into practice what they had learnt on the first day and mastered how to read the map to identify the direction of the skills.
第三天，正式开始爬山去营地，对很多同学们来说都是一次全新的体验：第一次远距离徒步，第一次自己看图找路，第一次野外生火做饭，第一次自己搭帐篷，甚至第一次户外集体生活……
On the third day, the mountain climbing to the camp was officially started, which was a new experience for many students: the first long distance hike, the first time to find the way by looking at the map, the first time to cook food by fire in the field, the first time to set up a tent by themselves, and even the first time to live outdoors together...
但一切的考验和挑战都磨灭不了同学们探索的劲头，路途中虽然有摔倒、有疲惫与艰辛，但也有队友们的一路相伴、互相鼓励。最终穿过丛林、跨过溪涧、翻山越岭，在崎岖小路和狭窄小道中穿梭，感受大自然神奇美丽，用脚步丈量桐庐瑶琳的风景，这也是我们户外探险的真正意义。
But all the tests and challenges could not wearing down the passion of the students to explore. There were falls, fatigue and hardships on the road, but also the teammates accompanying and encouraging each other all the way. Finally, through the jungle, across the stream, over the mountains, in the rugged path and narrow path shuttle, the students could feel the magical beauty of nature, with the footsteps to measure the scenery of Tonglu Yao Lin, which is the real meaning of our outdoor adventure.
圆满！回程！
充满冒险和欢声笑语，将在第四天画上句号。启程下山，继续前行，到达终点，完成任务，这是一次对体能、思维、解决问题、团队合作等方面的多重挑战，也是所有同学一段值得永久铭记的珍贵回忆。
The adventure full of laughter and joy ended on the fourth day. Starting down the mountain, continuing to move forward, reaching the end, and completing the task is a multiple challenge in terms of physical fitness, thinking, problem solving, teamwork, etc. It is also a precious memory for all students to remember forever.
打卡爱奖，师生感悟
全新的体验，充满了挑战，让老师和学生们收益良多，感慨颇多。这一次，是回归青春，是不怕的人面前才有路，是绝境中的逆袭！
The new experience full of challenges, has greatly benefited the teachers and students. This time, is the bloom of youth. It tells us where there is a will, there is a way and it leads us to create miracle even in despair!
