上海美达菲双语高级中学一年一度的英语演讲比赛圆满落幕！这项学生活动已经成了上海美达菲的传统，旨在培养锻炼学生英语口语能力，将英语融入和学习生活中来。

The annual English Speech contest successfully concluded in Shanghai MacDuffie Bilingual High School! This student activity has become a tradition of Shanghai MacDuffie, aiming to cultivate students' oral English ability and integrate English into their study and life. On the lecture stage, the students were confident, generous and enthusiastic, and expressed their views clearly with fluent oral English. On the lecture stage, the students were confident, generous and enthusiastic, and expressed their views clearly with fluent oral English. Let's go into the competition scene and witness the wonderful performance of each contestant.

英语演讲比赛

演而有道，讲而有情。本次英语演讲比赛，在主持人开场白介绍中拉开帷幕。经过了赛前打磨演讲稿、斟酌每个词每个句子，各位选手们都做好了充分的准备，蓄势待发。

Act with decency, speak with feeling. The English speech contest was kicked off with the opening remarks of the host. After polishing the script before the game, weighing every word and every sentence, the players are fully prepared and ready to go.

本次是选择主题竞演，大部分学生都选择了关于谣言的主题：From Victim to Victor: Conquering the Shadows of Rumors，也有一部分学生选择了拖延症主题:"The Art of Procrastination: A Blessing or a Curse?"（拖延的艺术：祝福还是诅咒？）。

Most of the students chose the theme about rumors: From Victim to Victor: Conquering the Shadows of Rumors, some students also chose The topic of Procrastination: "The Art of Procrastination: A Blessing or a Curse?" (The Art of Procrastination: Blessing or Curse?)

演讲比赛正式开始，同学们依次以自信的身姿登场，表达了自己对于主题的理解以及独特的观点。从每一个单词及句子的发音、词汇的重音及连读中，都体现出他们刻苦认真的学习态度与坚韧热诚的比赛精神。精彩的表现赢得了评委老师们的一致点赞，收获了现场的阵阵掌声。

After the speech competition officially began, the students got onto the stage in turn with a confident posture to express their understanding of the theme and unique views. From the pronunciation of every word and sentence, the stress of the vocabulary and the link reading, they all reflect their hard and serious learning attitude and tough enthusiasm for the game. The wonderful performance won the unanimous praise of the judges and received bursts of applause from the scene.

这不仅仅是一场简单的口语比赛，过程中更是对于同学们思辨能力、快速反应力、演讲的风格与技巧等，都是一项难度不小的考验。对于参赛的同学们来说，是一次难得的体验和成长，对于现场的老师和同学们，也是一场视听盛宴。

This is not only a simple oral competition, but also a difficult test for students' critical thinking ability, quick reaction, speech style and skills. For the students participating in the competition, it was a rare experience for growth, and for the teachers and students at the scene, it was also a audio-visual feast.

参赛的各位上海美达菲学子，举止从容，妙语连珠，侃侃而谈，展现了别样的风采以及对于英语的热情。这是属于他们的少年之声，也是青春最强音。

The students of Shanghai MacDuffie showed their unique style and enthusiasm for English with their calm manners, witty remarks and eloquent conversation. This is the voice of theirs, but also the strongest voice of youth.
