旧的学期结束，新的学期开始，时光不复，而我们总能从过去汲取力量，给以我们新的激励。

本周的周晨会，举行了秋季学期学术颁奖典礼，表彰在上一学期，在学术方面表现卓越的莱克顿人。每一张奖状都代表着一份荣誉和鼓励，一份认可和期许。

Before looking ahead, we also need to look behind. Time flies, we can gain valuable experience from the past whilst it encourages us to meet the new challenge.

There was a termly Academic Awarding in the Monday Assembly for this week. It was conducted by the academic team, to reward the students who had well performed academically during the last term. We can tell how hard work it took from each award, and it shows the recognition of their achievements and also the expectation for their future work.

学校设置了两种学术奖项：Excellence（卓越奖）和Effort（勤奋奖）。卓越奖，表彰在学科中成绩优秀的学生；勤奋奖，表扬努力勤奋的学生。莱克顿不将学术成绩作为衡量学生的唯一标准，学科老师不仅会考虑学生学术能力，也会注重学生在学习过程中的表现。每一个获奖的学生都受到了同学们热烈的掌声和欢呼，这是对他们发自内心的认可。

The awards were in two types. The ‘Excellence’ is an award for the strong academic achievement, and the ‘Effort’ is an award for positive performance. It is for sure that we cannot evaluate a student only by academic results, and it is also expected that student can show strong academic ability, also ambition and potential in their academic life. The awarded students were invited to step onto the stage to accept the honour in front of the whole Lucton community by the big round of applause.

在周晨会上，学校以这样庄严的形式，将这份荣誉充满仪式感地交给每一名出色的学生。希望在场的每一个莱克顿人都能从中汲取力量，彼此激励前行。有的学生，与期待的奖项失之交臂，惋惜之余，萌生的是对自己更高的要求；有的学生，是初入莱克顿，在见证这份荣誉的同时，也期待着自己的未来。

以青云之志，踏风破浪；

以自强不息，求索无疆。

充满仪式感的周晨会，拉开充满仪式感的一周。笔挺的西装校服，优雅的领带，从容地走向教室，相信那些对同学的赞许，对自己的期望，对荣誉的追求，必将化作他们的动力，创造他们自己的荣光。

The Assembly provides such an occasion with sense of ritual, celebrating students’ talents and outstanding performance. They might get inspired and push hard, or set the expectations for the following academic life. It is pleased to see students are encouraged to fulfill the ambitions into their hard work.

The Monday Assembly opened a vibrant new week. With the smart attire, students were walking into the classrooms. The whole community seems encouraged, and let us look forward to another busy week.
