For those who have just joined a boarding school or an international school for the first time, they are experiencing a different system everyday: they change classrooms every period according to subjects and need more autonomy in self-study. However, having more time that can be arranged independently, such as free time in the morning and evening, student club activity, weekend, etc, sometimes leaves students the impression that they have less pressure and more free time to kill. Making plans ahead and managing time properly , quite on the contrary, is a real challenge - not all students can win this competition.

Here at Lucton, helping and accompanying each boarder to sort out their goals and find out their dreams, guiding them to plan their time implementing their plan step by step are one of those top priorities embedded in our boarding education. The Boarding & Pastoral Care Department carry out activities in the form of lectures, seminars and group discussions, providing tools to lead our boarders to clarify their goals, formulate plans and evaluate periodically the implementation of their plan.

At the same time, a periodical review of weekly plan will also be done to evaluate and promote the optimization of the planning. Our house parents are in charge of guiding and making suggestions to efficiently implement the plan and integrate it into their daily life. They give encouragement and invite boarders to share their experience. Sharing is also a chance to evaluate, reflect, and verify the feasibility of the planning and gradually achieve their short-, medium-, and long-term goals. 

The self-driven motivation to achieve goals and dreams is the most effective force for growth. Taking planning as the line, stringing small goals together with big dreams, step by step, our boarders can pave their own extraordinary path of growth in life.
