莱克顿的经济课

经济学研究的核心是人类无尽的需求和稀缺有限资源之间如何进行分配,经济学因这些矛盾的显现而就此诞生。在莱克顿,学生们像经济学家一样批判性地分析当代经济事件,在考虑各种经济主体的利益冲突情况下做出明智决定,并提出措施来纠正市场和政府的失败。学生在学习经济学的过程中,都在解决经济课最关心的问题,如何用最少的时间取得最高的效率。

在莱克顿经济学课堂上,学生们接触到各类经济实事,从中美贸易战到最近的第二十次全国大会,学生们利用中国国家经济报告和《财富》全球500强企业的年度报告等广泛的资料来源,进行了独立研究、解释统计数据、分析原因与后果,这些方面的能力得到了发展。学生们在理论知识和现实生活场景之间建立有意义的联系,更好地沉浸在经济学世界里,运用实例将书本知识活灵活现,激发学习兴趣以及无限潜能。

在莱克顿的每一堂经济课上,学生通过不同的课堂活动获得大量的互动和合作学习机会。活动丰富多彩又寓教于乐:如学生审时度势做出案例研究决策,模拟公司运营;学生引经据典畅所欲言,开展经济辩论;学生经济知识充分运用,进行角色扮演,我们不断鼓励学生自由表达不同的观点和想法。

我们始终认为,定义一堂课程好坏的标准永远不是学生在这堂课上记住了多少知识点,而是如何让学生开始思考、看待、应对和学习并解决这个世界上不同生活和经济事件。我们的目标是促进学生的批判性思维、解决问题和有效的沟通能力,在经济课堂上学会真正的经济思维,在走出课堂后可以学以致用,不仅是在学习上,更是在人生的十字路口成为一个负责任的决策者。


The study of Economics centers on the fundamental economic problem of the allocation of scarce resources in response to unlimited human needs and wants. At Lucton, students act like economists to critically analyze contemporary economic events, make informed decisions considering competing interests of various economic agents, and recommend measures to rectify market and government failure. This can in turn, enable students to achieve the maximum effectiveness using the least amount of time throughout their journey in learning Economics.

Taking a closer look into an Economics lesson at Lucton, students are exposed to a variety of economic events ranging from the China-United States Trade War to the recent 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Students have been developing their capabilities in conducting independent research, interpreting statistics and causes and consequences using a wide range of sources such as the China's National Economic Report and Annual Reports from Fortune Global 500. By drawing meaningful connections between theoretical knowledge and real-life scenarios, students can better immerse themselves in the world of Economics and achieve their full potential in this study.

In every Economics class at Lucton, students are provided with lots of interactive and cooperative learning opportunities through different classroom activities including business simulation, case studies, debates, and role plays where students are encouraged to express different viewpoints and ideas freely.

We always believe that, the criterion of defining a good lesson is never about how many concepts students can remember from a lesson, but the way how students think about, respond to, and learn from different life and economic events in the world. We aim to facilitate critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication skills among students, allowing every individual from Lucton to reach their maximum potential and become a responsible decision-maker when it comes to the crossroad in life.
