深圳市深美外籍人员子女学校是一所 Cognia 认证的学校，于 2005 年 5 月经中华人民共和国国家教育部和广东省教育厅批准成立，旨在为港澳台及外籍人士子女提供高质量的纯美式教育。

深美开设学前三岁至 12 年级课程，并且采用严谨的项目式学习法帮助学生深度学习高质量学术知识。深美遵循美国的教学标准，使用美国洲际核心课程标准 Common Core State Standards、美国 Next Generation Science Standards 科学教学大纲、美国 AERO Social Studies Standards 社会科学标准，以及在音乐、体育和美术科目使用美国国家标准大纲。

九年级以及以上年级深美提供AP预修课程和AP课程科目。深美教学楼设施齐全，紧邻蛇口青少年活动中心及蛇口体育中心，为学生室内外各类体育运动提供充足场地，其中有四百米田径场、五人足球场以及篮球场。深美位于四海公园西，四海公园占地面积 13.5 公顷，是一个研究植物、动物、气候、空气、水质量及微生物环境的学习实验室。在公园学习不仅限于科学科目，还涉及数学、人文、体育活动及美术课程。

Shenzhen American International School (SAIS) is a Cognia accredited school which was established upon the approval of both the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Department of Education of Guangdong Province in May, 2005. SAIS provides quality education services to foreign nationals as well as students from HongKong, Macau and Taiwan.SAIS uses a rigorous Project-Based Learning approach to supplement high-quality academic instruction by serving grades pre-K to 12.We teach an American curriculum, following the Common Core State Standards, the Next Generation Science Standards, the AERO Social Studies Standards, and American national standards in Music, Physical Education and Art. Starting in Grade 9 we offer Pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement (AP) subjects. Facilities are excellent and include a high-quality building for academic instruction with PE and sports carried out in the adjacent Shekou Youth Sports Center and the Shekou outdoor Sports Center where there is an 8 lane 400 meter all weather track, Football (soccer) pitch, 5 – a -side soccer pitches and Basketball courts.

SAIS is located on the west side of Sihai Park. The park is a 13.5 hectares learning lab for the study of flora, fauna, climate, air and water quality, as well as micro environments.  Learning in the park is not limited to science, as the prospects for math, humanities,  physical activity and the arts abound in Sihai.

A Project Based environment looks different than a traditional classroom.
