MIS is now in its second week of home learning. Through various different channels, MIS teachers have ensured that the first week of online learning has been efficient and successful.

Through Teams, Class Dojo and email - our students have been set various daily tasks that include Maths, English, Chinese, even Sports and Music.

We have followed five students in their first week of learning at home.

曼校的线上学习已经顺利开展两周。我们的老师利用各教学平台，如Teams（沟通软件）、Class Dojo（教学平台）与邮件等，发送各科目（数学、英语、中文、体育和音乐等）学习资源，确保了线上学习的高效顺利展开。可以说，在线教育首战告捷。

下面，我们来介绍下曼校五位学生基于第一星期的在线学习情况：

"For the school online learning the MIS teachers assigned a great variety of work to be done at home, there are themes to keep up with the pace.  The teachers I feel are really good. MIS’s learning ideas and methods are also very different from other styles, as they have taught the children to work by themselves.  This for me is great, as Maggie will work independently and she can turn to me for help when she comes across some difficult vocabulary.  The learning set is really good in general, the child can also absorb the knowledge slowly. It also enables me to have a better understanding of the courses taught by the school, which is a good choice."

Lili Mei has developed the skills to be an independent learner, her mother forwards the class learning to her and she sets to work right away.

Lili Mei已培养出了作为一名自主学习者所需的重要技能，Lili Mei每日在收到妈妈所传达的学习内容后便直接投入到学习状态中。

"After one week of study, I’d like to say online learning is quite helpful for Charlie! He was given clear instructions every day. Teachers updated curriculum tasks and gave some necessary explanation every day. Of course it is not as good as school study, but at the moment, it is a very good solution."

Sky is currently studying in Year 12 which is the first year of the two-year A Level programme.   Sky’s A Level subjects are History, Maths, Geography and Global Perspectives.   His teachers communicate daily with Sky to ensure he is covering all aspects of his learning.

Sky目前就读于12年级，12年级是A Level学习中的第一年。Sky的A Level科目为历史、数学、地理、全球视角。Sky的教师每天与他沟通，确保他科目学习做到面面俱到。

Whilst online learning cannot replace in-school classroom learning, it is the very best method available to continue learning during this time. We are very fortunate to have a well-developed online programme, this in turn enabled us to be the first school in Shenzhen to start the online learning back on 5 February when school was actually due to re-open. We are immensely proud and grateful to our dedicated team of teaching staff at MIS, many of whom are all over the world during this difficult period.  They have put the needs of our students first and are working full-time to meet those needs ensuring that the curriculum is covered and students are well supported.

Online learning can be particularly challenging for parents. In the first week, MIS parents have provided a suitable working location at home for their child to study quietly without disruption and distractions. Parents have ensured that their children take appropriate rest and keep healthy by exercising daily.

It is important that parents can communicate with the school leadership team and teaching staff.  MIS has set up group channels to ensure that all relevant messages and important guidelines are reported in a timely manner.

虽然在线教育无法取代教室内的面对面教学，但它目前是可以满足学生学术需求的最佳选择。幸运的是，我校得益于我们十分完善的线上系统，成为深圳地区，在等待开学返校期间最早开始在线教育的学府（2月5日）。我校教师团队们在这段期间兢兢业业，一刻也不放松。尽管许多老师现在在世界的各个角落，但老师们仍然将学生的需要放到第一位，坚持全职工作，以满足学生需要，为学生提供源源不断支持的同时确保当前课程内容细致而全面。

在线教育对于家长而言是非常具有挑战性的一种学习模式，在第一星期，MIS的家长们在家为孩子们营造了一种安静、无人干扰，非常适宜孩子学习的环境。家长们也同时保证了孩子们劳逸结合，坚持每日锻炼，保持身心健康。

在此期间，家长们与学校教务领导层、教师们密切的联系对孩子教育而言至关重要。我校已经设立了沟通群组，以确保所有相关信息与重要的指引均在第一时间得以传达。
