历时三个月，深美学生在世界发明大会中国赛区的比赛圆满落幕，获得了一枚金奖、一枚铜奖、一枚二等奖、十枚三等奖的好成绩！

SAIS students competed successfully in the all-China div of the Invention Convention Worldwide recently with our students winning One Gold medal, One Bronze medal, A second prize and ten third prizes!

在最初一个半月的准备阶段，孩子们积极发挥想象和创造力，绘制了发明草图，手工制作了发明原型，绘制了三折板展示发明，同时录制了介绍视频。并且在过程中，用发明日志记录了整个发明创造的过程。可以说，他们完整地经历了一次发明的闭环过程！感谢所有孩子的努力，也感谢所有指导老师的辅助，当然也要感谢所有给予大力支持的家长们！

During the 6 weeks before the competition the students used their creativity to think of an invention, draw sketches and then produce some hand-made proto-types of their ideas. Along the way the students keep an invention log to record the entire process from design to the finished proto-type. Using this log the students produced a presentation board explaining all the elements of their invention along with a video. All of these stages allowed the students to have a full design and production experience. Thanks not only to the students but to their school Maker faculty and of course the parents who are always their biggest supporters!

发明过程 During the process

发明大会比赛历经了深美校内选拔、全国预选初赛、全国决赛三个阶段。

The contest has so far followed three stages: selection of Shenzhen American International School by local judges to determine who will represent the City, then appearance at the National Preliminary competition and because they were successful here they were then entered into the National finals for all-China.

4月28日我们举行了深美校内发明大会选拔赛。两位校长和创客主任担任了评委。

On April 28th, we held a selection contest for the Shenzhen-American Intramural Invention Conference. The two principals and the maker director served as judges.

校内选拔后所有小选手开始积极准备全国预选赛。因为疫情原因，我们只能进行线上比赛。经过评委的审核，代表深美参加比赛的所有比赛作品组都通过了预选！他们是：

After the judges selected the students who would represent the school, all the students began to actively prepare for the national qualifiers. Because of the epidemic, we can only show our inventions online which is not ideal but necessary. After the review by the national judges, all the teams representing Shenmei in the competition were chosen to move on to the next stage of the competition. They are: 

因为疫情原因，深美的小发明家们在家里进行了线上的全国决赛。

The National finals were also done online because of the epidemic.

经过决赛，深美的小发明家们获得了优异的成绩！

After the finals, the inventors of Shenmei achieved excellent results!

其中，获得金奖和铜奖的Tina和Chole同学进入了这项全球赛事的最终轮！将要代表中国区参加七月份在美国举行的世界发明大会！希望她们在全球发明者盛会的舞台上大放异彩、玩得愉快！

In addition, Tina and Chloe, won the gold and bronze awards respectively and will now, enter the final round of this global competition! These wonderful students will not only represent their school but also represent China at the World Invention Conference held in July in the united States! We know they will not only have fun but will excel in this Global stage of the World Inventors Festival!
