Explore the Great Mystery
“每個孩子都是科學家，生活便是他們的實驗室。” 12月1日，華美外國語學校香港班科學實驗課如期舉行，在付老師的引導下，同學們在課堂上積極思考、表達、創作、探究、總結，完成“火山爆發”實驗與科學知識學習，培養了動手實踐能力與創新思維能力，激發了他們探究科學的興趣。
On December 1st, the science experiment class of Hong Kong class of Huamei Foreign Language School was held as scheduled. Under the guidance of Mr. Fu, the students actively thought, expressed, created, explored and summarized in the class, and completed the experiment of "volcanic eruption" and science knowledge.
首先，付老師給同學們播放了一個火山爆發的視頻，看得同學們目瞪口呆，让他们意識到原來我們地球的各個板塊每天都在以微小的變化運動著，從而形成地震及火山爆發等。“這個是活火山還是死火山？”“噴出來的是滾燙的岩漿！”“這是無人机拍攝的嗎，是怎樣拍到這些畫面的？”......同學們在觀看視頻後提出了各自的想法與思考，帶著問題去課堂上探尋答案。
After watching the video, the students put forward their own ideas and thoughts, and went to the class with questions to find out the answers.
緊接著，老師取出提前准備好的實驗材料，讓學生們動手實驗。不同顔色的黏土、紅色粉末、清水、兩瓶液體，小匙子......在同學們手足無措之時，付老師立馬給學生們講解各種材料的使用方法及操作步驟，並通過親身示範，讓同學們制作出自己的小火山，進而完成噴發實驗。
Mr. Fu explained to the students how to use all kinds of materials and how to operate them, and through personal demonstration, asked the students to make their own small volcanoes.
“是時候見證奇迹了！”付老師親身示範，只見他倒進紅色粉末和一些白醋，泡沫立刻冒出水面，不一會兒，黏土口突然噴出紅色的大量泡沫，同學們非常驚訝，不由自主地鼓起了掌，並開啓了各自的創作與實驗！
The students were very surprised and clapped their hands involuntarily, and started their own creations and experiments!

當同學們動手操作完成後，付老師向同學們介紹了其中的化學原理——蘇打粉就是醋酸氫鈉，醋的主要成分是乙酸，醋和小蘇打反應會生成醋酸鈉，産生大量的二氧化碳氣體，二氧化碳氣體不斷在液體中翻騰，就會産生許多泡泡，加上紅顔料就更像火山爆發了。
When the students finished the hands-on operation, Mr. Fu introduced the chemical principles to the students.
最後，付老師給同學們普及相關科學知識，引導同學們形成各自的總結與思考，並解答了同學們心中的疑惑。
Fu teacher popularized relevant scientific knowledge to students, guided them to form their own summary and thinking, and answered their doubts.
科學的奧秘無窮無盡，需要同學們努力去探索，去發現，去尋覓……希望“小小科學家”們時刻保持一顆好奇心，在追尋科學世界的無窮智慧中，培養創新意識和批判性思維，提升應對未來挑戰的能力！
We hope that "Little Scientists" will keep a curiosity all the time, cultivate innovative consciousness and critical thinking in pursuit of the infinite wisdom of the scientific world, and improve their ability to meet future challenges!
