Why do we need poetry?
In poetry, we use the wise eyes of poets through the ages to experience the magnificence of nature, the richness of emotion, and the splendour of history.
No matter what stage of learning we are at, we need poetry to feel the mood between its lines, the beauty that lingers on our lips as we read it, and its unique and moving rhythms.
Every year around Chinese New Year, BMH holds a Chinese poetry recital competition. This year, due to the epidemic, we have been waiting for the right time. But when the children took to the stage this time, we knew that it was worth the wait and that wonderful things would come as promised.
Look, our kindergarten children dressed up like ancient people, stepped onto a bright stage and recited the classics together with their friends, becoming little poets!
