学习古诗，能够流利地背诵只是一个语言上的习得，了解作者真正想表达的意思，以及其精心设计的表现形式才是更深入、更带有思考的学习。

老师让孩子们各选一首诗，并将这首诗所表达的意思画出来，再以小组为单位，猜出同伴们画的是哪首诗。这样有趣且有深意的学习方式，既体现了孩子们的理解和吸收知识的能力，又锻炼了他们的表达能力、创造力和思辨能力。

有的班级则跟随着孔博士提到的理念，深度探究了什么是关爱他人。

老师让孩子们用绘画、文字以及语言，表达出自己对于关爱他人的理解。很多孩子都提到了不能打架，老师们也会提出一些引导性的问题，比如你的爸爸妈妈哥哥姐姐是如何关爱你的呢？随着这些问题，孩子们会举一反三，从而真正学习到什么是关爱。

我们的数学课、美术课、体育课等课程也都按部就班地进行着。

VPA一直都致力于打造扎根中国、放眼世界的优质双语教育，培养真正的国际化人才。作为中国人，在放眼世界之前，我们需要先扎根中国，所以除了提供专业的国际化教育，VPA也非常重视孩子们在中文以及中国传统文化上的学习，希望孩子们在走向世界的同时，永远怀揣着一颗懂得关爱、热爱和平的中国心！

Students have been back on the school mode after a week of school, let's see how they are doing at school!

Being able to recite a poem fluently is only a language acquisition when learning poetry, understanding what the author really wants to express and what figurative devices he or she uses is more important.

Students are asked to choose a poem and draw out the meaning of it. Then they would guess what poem that other students drew in groups. This interesting and meaningful way of learning not only reflects their ability to understand and absorb knowledge, but also exercises their ability in expression, creativity and critical thinking.

Some other classes follow the idea of caring, and explore it deeper.

Students are asked to express their understanding of caring by drawing, writing and speaking. Many of the children mention that we should not fight and the teachers would also ask some guiding questions, such as "How do your parents care about you?  " to inspire them.

We also have many intersting activities happening in Maths, Arts, PE, and other classes.

As a Chinese, we need root in our mother land before looking to the world. Therefore, besides providing professional international education, VPA also takes children's learning in Chinese and traditional Chinese culture very seriously.
