深美国际学校迎来了一位背景强大的首席招生官Robert博士，他中学毕业自美国顶尖私校菲利普斯埃克塞特中学（Phillips Exeter Academy），本科就读于斯坦福大学，后在耶鲁大学取得博士学位，曾任耶鲁大学十年招生官，熟知世界顶尖大学入学门槛，帮助过不计其数的优秀学生进入世界名校。

4月12号，Robert博士为深美学校的家长带来一场闪烁着阅历和智慧的分享，为家长们分享美国精英教育的爬藤之路。

Robert博士介绍了自己的过往经历，尤其是令他受益一生的中学母校埃克塞特中学，这是一所美国百年名校，出过不计其数的杰出校友，企业家洛克菲勒和扎克伯格都出自这所学校。Robert博士认为中学的项目式学习和挑战式学习培养了他的创新意识、冒险和韧性、利他精神和求知欲，这些精神养料滋养了他的生命。

Robert博士分享了令他印象深刻的一些学生案例，这些收获了哈佛大学、耶鲁大学等顶级藤校录取的学生无一例外都是有非常大胆、与众不同且持续至少2年的活动经历。Robert博士指出了中国家长申请美国学校的常见误区，比如疯狂刷高标化考试的分数，找留学中介设计千篇一律的活动，花钱去大学实验室用几个月时间做出一篇论文等。学校招生官炼就了火眼金睛，他们一眼就能分辨文书有几成的真实性。真正能帮助孩子获得顶级名校青睐的，只能来自他们自己独特的个性。

Robert博士从美国远渡重洋，来到中国，来到深美，以自己多年的阅历和智慧，为深美的孩子从8年级开始做升学指导。他将引入泰拳课、武术课、咏春拳等竞技类运动，帮助孩子们提高竞争的韧性。他还将开设升学指导课和一对一的升学指导咨询，帮助中学的孩子们尽早找到自己的个性点并提早准备申请。

SAIS has Dr. Robert joined, a chief admissions officer with a strong background. He graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy, a top private school in the United States. He once studied at Stanford University. He has a Ph.D. and has been an admissions officer at Yale University for ten years. He is familiar with the admission threshold of the world's top universities and has helped countless outstanding students enter the world's famous universities.

On April 12th, Dr. Robert brought a sharing of his experience and wisdom to the parents of SAIS, and shared with them the how to achieve in American elite education.

Dr. Robert introduced his past experiences, especially his alma mater, Exeter Middle School, which has benefited him all his life. From this school. Dr. Robert believes that the project-based learning and challenge-based learning in middle school cultivated his sense of innovation, adventure and resilience, altruistic spirit and thirst for knowledge, and these spiritual nourishments nourished his life.

Dr. Robert shared some student cases that impressed him a lot. These students who have been admitted to top Ivy League schools such as Harvard University and Yale University all have very bold and distinctive activities that last at least 2 years. Dr. Robert pointed out the common misunderstandings of Chinese parents applying to American schools, such as frantically brushing up the scores of highly standardized exams, finding an education agency to design cookie-cutter activities, spending money to go to a university laboratory to write a paper in a few months, etc. The school admissions officers have sharp eyes, and they can tell how authentic the documents are briefly. What can really help children win the favor of top schools can only come from their own unique personalities.

Dr. Robert traveled across the ocean from the United States, came to China, and came to SAIS. With his years of experience and wisdom, he began to guide children from the 8th grade. He will introduce muay thai classes, martial arts classes, Wing Chun and other competitive sports to help children improve their resilience in competition. He will also offer counseling courses and one-on-one counseling for college admissions to help middle school children find their own personality points and prepare for applications early.
