The hot summer gradually fades, replaced by a refreshing autumn breeze. With this natural transition, we usher in a brand-new semester. In this season of hope and opportunity, let us together embark on a fresh chapter of learning, exploration, and growth.
On August 28th and 29th, we had the new student orientation day and the first day of school. Children, all dressed in their VPA uniforms, returned to the campus with full of vigor and enthusiasm.
Dr. Koong welcomed all the children at the school gate, taking photos with each family.
Teachers finally met the students and parents that they had been eagerly anticipating. We will continue to advocate for close collaboration between teachers, students, and parents. Open communication and active interaction will be an essential part of our collective efforts. We encourage parents to actively participate in their children's learning and life, caring about their progress and growth, together creating a wonderful learning environment.
The campus of VPA awakened from the tranquil days of summer, brimming with renewed vitality! In this new academic year, we will continue to build the Victoria family together, find out the most suitable environment and nurturing approach for each child, and ensure their comprehensive growth in academics, character, and social aspects!
We also invited three outstanding alumni from VSA to share their experiences and growth in Victoria and IB, so that parents and children have more understanding and confidence in IB!
Emma Wong graduated from VSA in 2020 and went to Stanford University to study Computer Science + Biocomputation.

She attended VSA for the entire 12 years and VSA has given her numerous valuable opportunities. Here, she not only received an exceptional education in academics, but also a wealth of service opportunities, journeys of discovery, and opportunities to exercise leadership. Her love of music was also balanced with her academic development. These experiences not only enriched her school life, but also led her to find her real passion and choose a bio-related major.
Ainsley Ternes
Ainsley Ternes is this year's outstanding graduate and is going to Oxford University to study law. Ainsley, who had been with the school since kindergarten, admited that Victoria had played a big role in her current academic success and her personal growth.
Looking at her distinctive mixed-race face made students from VPA wonder why she was so fluent in Chinese. Ainsley explained that she mainly uses English and Cantonese at home, and her Chinese was learned at school. She also believes that, students at VPA can be trained to master the essence of two languages just like her.
Imogene Ji
Unlike the previous two, Imogene Ji attended Hong Kong public schools before transferring to VSA in high school. However, in just a few years in VSA, she also found her goal, and successfully admitted to the medical school of the University of Hong Kong, she deeply felt the IB education and her previous education is very different. It is also worth mentioning that 60% of HKU's medical students come from IB schools.
In the IB world, children are allowed and encouraged to explore and think, and it is this kind of education gives children unlimited possibilities.
At VPA, we are committed to fostering the all-round development and personal achievement of each student. No matter where you come from, we believe that every student has unlimited potential waiting to be found.
We can't wait to see the children flourish in the future, becoming outstanding individuals and making great contributions to society.
