AISL哈罗小狮课程的“学习素养”


强调"学习素养"的重要地位是AISL 哈罗小狮课程的显著特色之一。识别、支持、教授和评估这些学习行为,是保障我们课程适当性和有效性成的重要环节。



“学习素养” 的內涵即幼儿获得知识、技能和理解之后,还需用其反哺学习过程,并能够实际运用、利用它们建立起对自身和真实世界的理解。"学习素养"还确保幼儿的所有经验都基于坚实的基础和支持之上,对他们而言是有意义且有收获的。


情绪控制与身心健康支持幼儿形成识别情绪和管理的意识及能力,同时能够觉察他人。情感引导是这一素养的关键部分,同理心更是人类文明和启蒙所扎根的重要品质。共同调节与自我调整过程中,能帮助儿童有效和谨慎地设法面对冲动和自我控制。



支持和培育好奇心,以及利用好奇心驱动学习中的探索、体验与建立联系,是赋能幼儿并使其成为有效和有技巧的学习者和思考者的先决条件。



支持和激发儿童的积极性, 通过让幼儿参与活动和交流想法, 鼓励他们即使在遇到困难和挑战的情况下也展现出独立性、发扬持之以恒的精神, 亦是另一个关键要素。


一切学习的核心目的都是培养思考和处理信息的能力。我们知道, 当幼儿学会如何组织他们的思想和知识, 了解知识的习得方法, 能够灵活地运用这种思维时, 他们就会成为充满活力和成功的学习者, 在所有学习领域都能如鱼得水、尽情游弋。



此外, 创造力也是幼儿的必备素养之一, 也是未来世界最重要的核心竞争力。培养孩子拥有创新的想法、善于利用不同的方式表达, 且具备批判性地思考周围世界的能力, 将是我们的课程和课程成果关注的一个关键方面。

Little Lions Curriculum: 

Disciplines of Learning


A distinctive feature of our curriculum is the important and equal role played by the learning disciplines. Identifying, supporting, teaching, and assessing these learning behaviours is a vital part of ensuring that our curriculum is appropriate and effective.



The Learning Disciplines create the sense that while children rightfully acquire knowledge, skills and understanding, they also need to embed them in the processes of learning and be able to use them, draw from them and utilise them to make sense of themselves and the world they live in. The Learning Disciples also ensure that children's experiences are grounded and supported to be effective and meaningful.


Emotional Development and Wellbeing supports children's awareness and ability to name and manage their emotions while being mindful of how this appears in other people. Emotional Literacy is a key component of this and the ability to show empathy is a vital human quality on which civilisation and enlightenment is based. The processes of co-regulation and self-regulation enable children to effectively and maturely manage their impulses and self-control.



Supporting and enabling curiosity and how this manifests itself in exploration, experimentation and making links in their learning is a vital precursor to empowering children as effective and skilled learners and thinkers.



Also supporting and engendering children's motivation; through their involvement with activities and ideas, displaying independence and persisting in what they do, even when they encounter difficulties or challenges is another key element that will be encouraged and enabled.


Central to all learning, and the purpose of learning, is the ability to think and process information. We know that when young children learn how to organise their thoughts and knowledge, understand how they know what they know and are able to use this thinking flexibly, they become dynamic and successful learners in all spheres.



The ability to be creative is one of the most vital currencies for the future world. The ability to generate new ideas, communicate them in different ways, and think critically about the world around them will be a very important component of the curriculum and outcomes.

情绪控制与身心健康

作为万物之灵,我们总是会经历一系列情绪,这些情绪使我们能够理解世界以及对人和不同情境的感受。情感使我们能够解读世界并根据我们的决定采取相应的行动。正向积极的自我意识 - 我们的身心健康, 是心理发展的重要因素,最终也影响着我们的身体健康。



随着年龄的增长和日渐成熟地步入成年,我们学会如何识别和管理这些强烈的情绪,以及培养和支持自我意识和心理的健康发展。

对于年幼的孩子来说,这是发展和成长中重要且具有挑战性的一部分。在这个过程中,孩子们学习如何脱离自我中心, 建立理性自我。


与所有发展方面一样,情绪控制与身心健康也是可以学习的,因此需要进行培育。跟其他学习领域一样,有些孩子比其他孩子学习起来更加容易。


在小狮课程中,我们慎重地将情绪控制与身心健康确立为重要的学习素养,并作为孩子日常经验的一部分来支持和教授。



这项学习素养分为三个要素


情感引导是指辨识并“命名”情绪的能力和知识。年幼的孩子往往会感受到强烈的情绪,却并不真正理解自己当下的感受以及触发的原因。能够命名恐惧、快乐、嫉妒、沮丧和担忧等情绪 ,是孩子们发展道路上不可或缺的部分。



首先,通过给这些情绪命名,并理解在不同情境下感觉到这些情绪是完全正常和自然的,孩子们可以进一步讨论触发这些情绪的原因,以及如何制定策略来管理和控制它们。孩子们还将理解什么让他们快乐、放松和满足,从而找到方法来支持他们的正向意识和自我理解。

同理心是一种至关重要的品质, 它使我们能够从不同的视角去理解某件事情可能的感受或样貌。这对于理解如何成为社区和社会的一份子尤为关键,因为周边的人、事、物有着不同的需求、观点和经历。



随着孩子们对自己有更深入的认识,他们也会学到其他人与自己的不同:可能在外貌上,生活方式上,兴趣爱好上等等。理解并接受世界上有很多“不一样”,是成为切实且负责任公民的基础。

自我调节是一项必不可少的技能,与情绪识别能力相结合,使孩子能够培养洞察力和控制强烈情绪的能力。



尽管孩子们仍处于以自我为中心的阶段, 有着即时的欲望和需求, 但通过支持他们在不同的情境中辨识情绪, 赋予挑战且提供机会 , 让他们能够以言语交流表达情绪和感受,帮助他们找到合适的方法和策略去应对,是非常重要的。

Emotional Wellbeing 

and Development

 

As human beings we are always subject to a range of emotions that enable us to make sense of the world around us and our feelings towards people and different situations. Emotions enable us to interpret the world and act on the decisions we take. A positive sense of ourselves – our wellbeing – is a vital element of our psychological, and ultimately physical health.



As we grow older and mature into adults, we learn how to identify and manage these, often strong, emotions and how to nurture and support our own sense of self and psychological health.


For very young children this is an important and challenging element of development and growth. As part of this process, children learn how to develop their rational, over their egocentric, selves.


As with all aspects of development, this is learned and therefore needs to be taught, and with all learning, some children find this easier than others.


In the Little Lions Curriculum, we have deliberately identified Emotional Development and Wellbeing as an important Learning Discipline and one that will be supported and taught as part of the child’s everyday experience.



This Learning Discipline is divided into three elements:



Emotional Literacy is the skill and knowledge of how to identify and 'name' the emotion that is being felt. Young children feel emotions very strongly without really knowing what they are and why they are feeling that. It is an important part of their development to be able to name emotions such as fear, happiness, jealousy, frustration, and worry. 



By first naming these and understanding that it is perfectly normal and natural to feel them in different situations, children can then be supported into talking about what triggers these feeling and how to then develop strategies for managing and controlling them. This also involves children understanding what makes them happy, relaxed and content so that, again, they develop strategies and methods to support their own positive sense and understanding of themselves.



Empathy is a vital human attribute that enables us to understand what something might feel or look like from a different perspective to our own. This is important to understand how to be part of a community and a society where there are different needs, views, and experiences. 



As children develop a strong sense of themselves, they also learn that other people are different: they might look different, live in a different way, have different interests and so on. Understanding and accepting this as part of the world they live in is a strong basis for effective and responsible citizenship.



Self-Regulation is a vital skill, that, linked to emotional literacy, enables children to develop a sense of perspective and the ability to control powerful emotions. 



While children have immediate desires and wants, and are still in an egocentric phase, it is important to support them in identifying situations that challenge them and present opportunities for them to be able to talk through emotions and feelings, therefore developing approaches and strategies that help and enable them to find an appropriate resolution.
