【情满重阳︱孝润童心】华美外国语学校开展2023年重阳节主题活动

金风送爽，大地金黄；不似春光，胜似春光。为进一步营造敬老、爱老、助老的社会风尚，引导少年儿童孝敬父母和长辈、学会感恩，树立良好的家庭美德观念，增强少年儿童的社会责任感，10月23日，华美外国语学校开展了“情满重阳 孝润童心”主题教育活动。
八2中队张韵骐、金楚珂同学利用国旗下讲话向队员们讲述了重阳节的由来以及发生在我们身边尊老敬老的榜样故事，告诉队员们要做一个尊老、爱老的好孩子。
队会中，辅导员老师向队员们介绍了重阳节的来历、传说、重阳节诗词以及重阳节的习俗，并倡议大家从身边点滴做起，践行中华民族爱老、敬老的传统美德。
在学生发展中心的倡议下，同学们为家中的长辈们洗衣、做饭，捶背、洗脚……亲情陪伴，为长辈们送上最真挚的节日祝福。
同学们精心编排，认真创作，设计出一张张形式多样，色彩明丽，内容充实，各具特色的手抄报。将敬老之心展示于纸上，表达了自己对老人的敬爱之情。
此次重阳节敬老爱老主题教育系列活动，队员们不仅了解了重阳节的习俗，而且懂得了尊敬老人是中华民族的传统美德，让队员们感悟重阳文化、传承敬老美德，增强社会责任感，做一名新时代好少年！

With the brisk autumn breeze and the earth adorned in golden hues, it is unlike the gentleness of spring but surpasses it in beauty. To further foster a societal culture of respect for the elderly, love for the elderly, and assistance to the elderly, and to guide young children in showing filial piety to their parents and elders, teaching them gratitude, instilling positive family values, and enhancing the social responsibility of young children, on October 23rd, Huamei Foreign Language School organized the themed educational activity, "Emotions Overflow on Double Ninth, Nurturing Childlike Filial Piety."
Speech Under the National Flag
Students Zhang Yunqi and Jin Chu Ke from Class 8-2 used the opportunity of a speech under the national flag to tell their team members about the origins of the Double Ninth Festival and shared exemplary stories of respecting and honoring the elderly in our midst. They encouraged their fellow team members to be good children who show respect and love to the elderly.
Theme Team Meeting:
Cultivating Virtue
During the team meeting, the counselor teacher introduced the team members to the origins, legends, poems related to the Double Ninth Festival, as well as the customs associated with the festival. The teacher encouraged everyone to start with small actions in their daily lives and practice the traditional Chinese virtues of loving and respecting the elderly.

I'll accompany you as you grow old." Under the initiative of the Student Development Center, students wash clothes, cook meals, give massages, and wash feet for their elderly family members. Through these acts of filial love, they offer their heartfelt holiday blessings to their elders.

The students carefully organized and diligently created various hand-made newsletters, each distinct in style, vibrant in color, and rich in content. They expressed their respect and love for the elderly by showcasing their feelings on paper.

In this series of educational activities with a theme of respecting and loving the elderly during the Double Ninth Festival, the team members not only learned about the customs of the festival but also understood that respecting the elderly is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. This helped them grasp the essence of the Double Ninth Festival culture, pass on the virtue of respecting the elderly, enhance their sense of social responsibility, and become exemplary youths of the new era!
