美好的一天，从欢乐的音乐开始。学生们到达教室以后，Ms Fendy会播放孩子们喜欢的音乐，他们听着美妙的音乐，放松心情，慢慢融入到教室环境中，以开启一天的课程。

今天早晨的第一节课是英语课，深美3年级大部分学生的英语水平，和美国同年龄的孩子英语水平保持一致。因为深美是外教全天代班，除了每天一节的中文课，其他所有课程都是外教全英文上课，英文环境还是非常沉浸式地。课程的前半部分，Ms Fendy带着学生们复习了单数和复数，学生们辨别了s、es以及一些特殊单词的单复数。之后，老师又引入了英语时态的学习：过去时、现在时、以及将来时，并讲解了不同时态的用法。整堂课，孩子们都非常积极地举手回答问题。英语课的后半部分，老师又安排了课堂练习，已检测学习成果。孩子们独立完成英文练习题，并讨论了一些开放性题目。

A good day starts with happy music. After the students arrive in the classroom, Ms Fendy will play the children's favorite music. They listen to the beautiful music, relax and slowly integrate into the classroom environment to start the day's lessons.

The first class this morning is English class. The English proficiency of most third-grade students in SAIS is consistent with the English proficiency of children of the same age in the United States. Because SAIS has full-time foreign teachers, except for one Chinese class every day, all other courses are taught by foreign teachers in English, and the English environment is very immersive. In the first half of the course, Ms Fendy led the students to review singular and plural numbers. The students identified the singular and plural numbers of s, es and some special words. After that, the teacher introduced the study of English tenses: past tense, present tense, and future tense, and explained the usage of different tenses. Throughout the class, the children were very active in raising their hands to answer questions. In the second half of the English class, the teacher arranged classroom exercises to test the learning results. The children completed English exercises independently and discussed some open-ended questions.

第二节是棒球课，美国是非常重视体育精神和团队精神的国家，棒球文化更是渗透到几乎每个美国人的血液里。在深美，棒球是学校的特色课，教练也是第一个加入美国大联盟的中国人。不仅如此，深美还有自己的棒球队，并为体育特长生设置了棒球奖学金。每次上棒球课，孩子们都很兴奋。学生们跟随专业棒球教练到达操场以后，先是做了跑步热身活动。之后教练对孩子们进行了分组训练：击球、接球、传球、跑垒等不同练习。最后模拟真实比赛环境，学生们都非常投入。

The second period is baseball class. The United States is a country that attaches great importance to sportsmanship and team spirit, and baseball culture has penetrated into the blood of almost every American. In Shenzhen, baseball is a special course in the school, and the coach is also the first Chinese to join the American major leagues. Not only that, SAIS also has its own baseball team and has set up baseball scholarships for students with sports talents. Every time there is baseball class, the children are very excited. After arriving at the playground with a professional baseball coach, the students first did some running warm-up activities. Afterwards, the coach conducted group training for the children: different exercises such as batting, catching, passing, and running bases. Finally, the real competition environment was simulated, and the students were very engaged.

第三节是IB探究课，这次的课程是探究我们周边的生存环境，生态系统，人口数量，社区群体和生活环境等社会问题。学生们分别对这些主题发表了不同的见解，之后又延伸到环境保护和旧物循环利用。孩子们对油的循环利用，也提出了自己独特的想法：油可以被二次利用到汽车或者自行车上，为发动机提供动能；油可用于保护皮肤；油可用于食物烹饪；也可以被用于制作香皂。想法各异，天马行空，努力想象着为改变全球生态环境付出自己的力量。

The third div is the IB inquiry course. This course is about exploring social issues such as our surrounding living environment, ecosystems, population, community groups and living environment. The students expressed different opinions on these topics, which were later extended to environmental protection and recycling of old items. The children also put forward their own unique ideas on the recycling of oil: oil can be reused in cars or bicycles to provide kinetic energy for the engine; oil can be used to protect the skin; oil can be used for food cooking; it can also be used Make soap. They have different ideas, are wild and unconstrained, and strive to imagine their own contribution to changing the global ecological environment.

上午的第四节是中文课，深美作为国际学校，非常重视中国的传统文化和习俗。深美的孩子每天都会上一节中文课，老师采用深圳教育局所推荐的人教版教材上课。根据每个孩子不同的母语情况，中文课程被分为两个教室上课：一个班级学生的母语为英文，一个班级学生的母语为中文，课程进度也大不相同。母语为中文的孩子们这节课学习的是古诗：《赠刘景文》，中文老师先听了下学生们自己对这首诗的理解，然后对古诗作了详细解释，之后又安排学生根据这首诗描述的情景，表演了中文话剧，加深学生对古诗的理解。另一个教室里，母语为英语的学生们还在认真学习汉字，为之后的中国文化学习打牢基础。

The fourth period in the morning is Chinese class. As an international school, SAIS attaches great importance to Chinese traditional culture and customs. Children in Shenmei receive a Chinese class every day, and the teacher uses the People's Education Edition textbook recommended by the Shenzhen Education Bureau. According to the different native languages of each child, Chinese courses are divided into two classrooms: one class of students whose native language is English, and one class of students whose native language is Chinese. The course progress is also very different. Children whose mother tongue is Chinese are learning an ancient poem: "To Liu Jingwen" in this class. The Chinese teacher first listened to the students' own understanding of the poem, then gave a detailed explanation of the ancient poem, and then arranged for the students to write poems based on this poem. The scene described in the poem was performed in a Chinese drama to deepen students' understanding of ancient poetry. In another classroom, students whose native language is English are still studying Chinese characters seriously to lay a solid foundation for future studies of Chinese culture.

中午的阳光是灿烂的，眨眼间就是午饭时光。深美的学生餐有四种不同选择：中餐、韩餐、自助餐、素食，都是经过营养师搭配，用心挑选的健康食材。一餐一食，都是厨师们用爱心制作出来的，不仅闻起来香味四溢，吃起来更是齿间留香。孩子们团坐一起，一边吃饭，一边分享趣事。

饭后时间是学生们最喜欢的时光，阳光透过荔枝树，洒落在草坪上。孩子们肆意奔跑，玩耍，和同学们嬉戏玩耍。老师们则陪伴在一旁，确保每个孩子的安全，其他不做过多干预。有的学生们玩无动力娱乐设施，有的学生们则玩追逐游戏，还有的学生们则展示自己的舞蹈功底。增强体质，身心愉悦，孩子们快乐成长，这才是真正的童年时光。

The sun is shining brightly at noon, and it’s lunch time in the blink of an eye. SAIS's student meals have four different options: Chinese, Korean, buffet, and vegetarian. They are all healthy ingredients carefully selected by nutritionists. Every meal is made with love by the chefs. It not only smells fragrant, but also tastes delicious. The children sat together in a group, sharing interesting stories while eating.

After-dinner time is the students’ favorite time. The sun shines through the lychee trees and onto the lawn. The children ran around, played, and had fun with their classmates. The teachers stayed with them to ensure the safety of each child and did not interfere too much. Some students played on unpowered entertainment equipment, others played chase, and still others showed off their dancing skills. Strengthening physical fitness, physical and mental pleasure, and children growing up happily are the real childhood days.

下午的第一节课是数学课，深美3年级的学生们已经开始学习千以内乘除法。对于除法而言，乘法总是相对容易些。课堂前半部分，学生们在Ms Fendy的带领下，复习了6、7、8和9的倍数，学生们总是争先恐后举手，想展示自己的数学能力。之后，又练习了多位数乘法。老师鼓励学生们熟记数字的倍数，再反之推算除法，在课堂下半部分，老师又带领学生们做了除法练习。

The first class in the afternoon is mathematics. The third-grade students of SAIS have begun to learn multiplication and division within a thousand. Multiplication is always easier than division. In the first half of the class, the students, led by Ms Fendy, reviewed the multiples of 6, 7, 8 and 9. The students always rushed to raise their hands to show off their mathematical abilities. Afterwards, multi-digit multiplication was practiced. The teacher encouraged the students to memorize the multiples of numbers and then calculate the division. In the second half of the class, the teacher led the students to do division exercises.

第二节是音乐课，音乐课的教室总是充满着快乐，充满着乐趣，孩子们在游戏中感受音乐，收获知识。音乐老师Mr Ariel来自古巴，多才多艺，熟练掌握将近十种乐器，三种语言，擅长发现孩子的闪光点。老师会根据不同年龄孩子的特点，选择最适合他们的乐器，并耐心指导。

The second period is music class. Music class classrooms are always full of joy and fun. Children feel music and gain knowledge in games. Music teacher Mr. Ariel is from Cuba. He is versatile, proficient in nearly ten musical instruments and three languages. He is good at discovering the shining points of children. Teachers will choose the most suitable musical instruments for children of different ages based on their characteristics and provide patient guidance.

第三节是手工课，学生们在手工课上编织梦想，任何普通的材料，经过学生们的设计加工，都能展示出最美的一面。这节课学生们得到的素材是小木棒、吸管和纸板，利用这些材料做成一辆小车车。孩子们可以充分发挥自己的想象力，自由设计专属于自己的车车，同时还能锻炼孩子们的动手能力。

The third div is a handicraft class, where students weave their dreams. Any ordinary material can show its most beautiful side after students' design and processing. The materials the students received in this lesson were small wooden sticks, straws and cardboard, and they used these materials to make a small car. Children can give full play to their imagination and freely design their own cars, while also exercising their hands-on skills.

下午的最后一节是阅读课，低年级学生每天的家庭作业看似不多，但是对学生的阅读要求很高。阅读内容根据孩子自己的兴趣来制定，具体读什么书不是重点，重点是培养阅读的习惯，在此基础上提高学生的识读能力。深美有自己的图书馆，拥有大量的英文绘本和著作，孩子们每周可以从图书馆选择一些自己喜欢的书阅读。

The last period of the afternoon is a reading class. The homework assignments for lower grade students may not seem to be much every day, but the reading requirements for students are very high. The reading content is determined according to the children's own interests. The specific books to read are not the focus. The focus is to cultivate the habit of reading and improve students' reading ability on this basis. SAIS has its own library with a large number of English picture books and works. Children can choose some of their favorite books to read from the library every week.
