岁寒松柏,非遗传习

本月,丽林维多利亚学校家长教师会(PTA)在学校的支持和共同协作下,举办了别具一格的低年级亲子秋冬社会实践和高年级独立营军训活动



通过融入趣味运动、传统手工艺体验和军训等丰富多彩的内容,不光增进了亲子之间的感情,还让孩子们在户外活动中感受大自然和中华传统文化的魅力,同时锻炼身体、拓展视野、展现维校学子精神风范。



1-3年级的学生以亲子秋游活动为主。在趣味运动环节,家长们组织了多种富有创意的运动项目,如毛毛虫、珠行万里、大脚板等。家长们和孩子们团结一心,共同参与,享受着运动的快乐。这种“玩中学、学中玩”充分体现了团结合作、积极争取的特性。



在趣味运动的间隙,孩子们还兴奋涌入萌宠乐园里,他们小心翼翼地将胡萝卜递给山羊们。动物们也似乎感受到了孩子们的善意,温顺地接受着他们的馈赠。与小动物们互动,对孩子们来说是一种生命教育体验,培养了他们对生命的尊重和关怀意识。通过观察、亲身体验,孩子们能够更深刻地理解生态平衡、物种多样性等生命科学的基本概念。



中华传统手工艺体验环节,孩子们去到了观澜湖手工艺场——中国最齐全的手工门类体验和最丰富的非遗传习基地。



VPA家委会邀请了专业的手工艺老师,为家长和孩子们介绍中国传统手工艺的精湛技艺,孩子们观赏了玻璃吹制工艺,并亲手参与了诗歌活字印刷、古法拓印、手摇音质明信片、玻璃马赛克拼接、扎染方巾、年轮木片画、植物机理拓印手捏盘等活动。



孩子们纷纷被这些手工艺品制作过程所感染,直观地感受到老祖宗们的智慧,并理解到传统文化的独特魅力和价值。



中国心世界人,相信VPA学生们在未来瞬息万变的时代,探索世界的同时,将继续保持珍视和传承这些无价的文化遗产。



 “宝剑锋从磨砺出,梅花香自苦寒来。”


在这个快节奏的社会中,孩子们需要更多的机会去锻炼自己,磨砺自己的意志。为了培养孩子们的坚韧精神和高尚品格,我们特意为4-7年级的同学们举办了这次两天一夜的军训营活动。



脱下校服穿上军装的那一刻,孩子们内心力量被逐渐点燃,目光也变得坚毅有力。



在自我介绍和分队环节,同学们展现了每个人独特的个性、丰富的创意以及充满自信的表达方式,带着积极的情绪投入到各项训练活动中。



学校和VPA家委会特意邀请了专业的军训教官,带领同学们塑造严谨的军事动作和精神风貌。在教官的指导下,同学们共同参与了青少年安全教育、日常生活急救法、军体拳、队列练习、格斗术等训练。



我们希望,孩子们可以像大自然中的万物一样,有璀璨的绽放时刻,也有面对寒风的坚毅品格。冬日的寒风可以将叶子吹落,但无法将松柏吹倒,永远保持乐观的态度,春天总会一遍又一遍地到来。



不管是低年级的亲子游,还是高年级独立的军训营,我们都强调了亲子互动和家校共育的重要性,家长、学校、孩子们共同参与、相互支持,建立了深厚的感情纽带。



非常感谢家长们的鼎力支持,让孩子们得以在各种各样的舞台上展示自我、锻炼能力,从而更好地促进了他们的全面发展。



展望未来,我们期待与家长在教育上能有更多的合作,携手共进。通过定期举办类似的亲子活动,增进家长与学校之间的沟通与交流,助力孩子们的健全成长,让学习不仅仅发生在教室里。

This month, with the support and collaboration of the school, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Victoria Park Academy organized distinctive lower-grade parent-child autumn-winter field trip and independent military training activities for the higher-grades.

By incorporating diverse and colorful activities such as fun sports, traditional handicraft experiences, and military training, not only did it enhance the relationship between parents and children, but it also allowed the children to experience the charm of nature and traditional Chinese culture in outdoor activities. At the same time, it helped in physical exercise, broadened their horizons, and showed the school spirit.

In the segment of fun sports, parents organized various creative activities. Parents and children actively participated and enjoyed the pleasure of sports. This "learn through playing, play through learning" approach fully embodied the characteristics of cooperation, and active engagement.

Children also excitedly went to the cute pet paradise, carefully offering carrots to the goats. The animals seemed to sense our students' kindness and accepted their offerings with gentleness. Interacting with these small animals provided our students with an educational experience about life, fostering their awareness and respect for living beings. Through observation and hands-on experience, children could gain a deeper understanding of fundamental concepts in life sciences such as ecological balance and biodiversity.

In the session of experiencing traditional Chinese handicrafts, the children visited the Mission Hills Handicraft Center – the most comprehensive hands-on experience facility in China and the richest base for intangible cultural heritage inheritance.

Our VPA Parent-Teacher Association invited professional handicraft teachers to introduce the exquisite skills of traditional Chinese handicrafts to parents and children. Children observed glass blowing craftsmanship and actively participated in various activities such as poetry letterpress printing, traditional rubbing, hand-cranked sound postcards, glass mosaic, tie-dye scarves, tree-ring wooden art, and botanical mechanics leaf imprinting hand-pinched plates.

Children were all deeply influenced by the process of crafting these handmade items, gaining a speical experience of the wisdom from our ancestors. Through this, they not only understood the unique charm and value of traditional culture but were also able to appreciate the cultural heritage passed down through generations.

As global citizens with Chinese hearts, we believe that VPA students will continue to cherish and pass on these priceless cultural heritages while exploring the world in the rapidly changing times ahead.

In this fast-paced society, children need more opportunities to exercise and temper their will. To cultivate the resilience and noble character of our students, we specifically organized a two-day overnight military training camp for students in year 4-7.

The moment they took off their school uniforms and put on military uniforms, the inner strength of our students was gradually ignited.

During the self-introduction and team formation session, they showed their unique personalities, creativity, and confident expression. With a positive attitude, they actively engaged in various training activities.

VPA and PTA deliberately invited professional military training instructors to guide the students in shaping disciplined military actions and demeanor. Under the guidance of the instructors, students collectively participated in training sessions covering youth safety education, everyday first aid techniques, military drills, formation exercises, and martial arts.

We hope that children, like all things in nature, can have brilliant moments of blossoming and exhibit resilient characters when facing the cold wind. The cold wind in winter may blow away the leaves, but it can never topple the pine and cypress trees. Always maintaining an optimistic attitude, spring will arrive again and again.

Whether it's the field trip for the lower grades or the independent military training camp for the higher grades, we emphasize the importance of parent-child interaction and collaborative education between home and school. Parents, the school, and students all participate together, mutually supporting each other, and building strong bonds.

A heartfelt thank you for the support from the parents, enabling our students to present themselves and develop their abilities on various stages. This has greatly contributed to their comprehensive growth.

Looking ahead, we look forward to more collaboration with parents in education, moving forward hand in hand. By regularly organizing parent-child activities, we aim to enhance communication and interaction between parents and our school, contributing to the whole growth of our students. This ensures that learning takes place not only within the confines of the classroom.
