To strengthen the fire safety awareness of both teachers and students, and to enhance their emergency evacuation capabilities at night, Huamei Foreign Language School organized a night dormitory fire emergency evacuation drill on the evening of December 10, 2023.

Before the drill, the school safety office carefully formulated a plan based on the actual situation of the school dormitories. Specific deployments were made for each stage of the drill, including clear instructions and emphasis on the overall evacuation route, personnel assignments for each position, evacuation locations, and precautions. Teachers responsible for guiding the evacuation were trained to ensure clear responsibilities and accountability. Prior to the drill, students received safety education to ensure that the exercise was safe, orderly, and smooth.

Safe Evacuation
At 19:00 on December 10th, the drill officially started. When the alarm sounded, the teachers responsible for safety evacuation on each floor and staircase of the dormitory performed their duties and directed the students to follow the established escape route, cover their mouths and noses with wet towels, bend down, and evacuate to a safe area quickly and orderly.
The exercise process was fast, orderly and standardized. All students evacuated to the safety point within 1 minute and 50 seconds. After arriving at the designated safety point, the number of people in each dormitory and div was quickly counted and reported to the life teacher. The life teacher reported the class number and situation to the corresponding venue person in charge to ensure that The number of people who should arrive and actually arrive is the same, and no one is left behind.
Subsequently, the emergency medical rescue team conducted a rescue scenario simulation, and medical staff provided on-site "medical treatment" to the "injured".

Director Liang of the Safety Office summarized the fire evacuation drill. He first praised the majority of students for following school instructions, evacuating the dangerous area in an orderly manner, and quickly adhering to the specified route. At the same time, he pointed out some deficiencies in the details of the drill process and reiterated fire and evacuation knowledge to the students. This emergency fire activity has strengthened the safety awareness and evacuation capabilities of boarding students, improved the emergency response and coordination abilities of residential teachers, class advisors, various school departments, and boarding students during emergencies. It has also enhanced nighttime fire evacuation skills, laying a solid foundation for creating a safe and harmonious campus.
