SHOWCASING CHINESE CULTURE IN BILINGUAL FORM, TELLING CHINESE STORIES IN ENGLISH

How can we use English as a medium to understand the diverse world, allowing each child to gain courage and confidence during the cultural festival, encouraging them to speak, dare to speak, be able to speak, and enjoy speaking?

Through the collaborative efforts of the school and families, guiding children to engage in theme book readings, we have garnered the love of both parents and students.

Each child has chosen a theme-related English book for project-based learning. Students recommended good books to each other.

The most exciting event is the "Future Outstanding Diplomat" audition. In order to provide a broader English showcase platform for the children, the school collaborated with Guangdong Economic and Technological Channel to conduct interview auditions at the school.

Telling Chinese stories in English and showcasing Chinese culture in bilingual form, understanding China through stories, provides children with a platform to deeply understand Chinese culture and engage with the world. This activity attracted enthusiastic participation from students in grades 1-8 at Hua Mei. The campus was filled with a fervor for telling Chinese stories, spreading the voice of China, and expressing patriotic feelings.

During the audition on the afternoon of December 21st, children showcased Chinese excellence through English recitations, speeches, and drama performances, promoting a platform for cultural exchange with the world. Everyone aspired to be a storyteller of Chinese stories, proudly representing Chinese culture.

This year's English Cultural Festival and English Subject PBL Project Achievement Exhibition aim to explore English culture through project themes, allowing every child to participate in project-based learning, feel English, use English, and enjoy English. The festival is presented in a diverse and colorful manner, turning it into a holiday for every child—everyone participates, everyone is happy, and everyone gains something. We look forward to more wonderful presentations."
