We had a nice number of parents out this morning for our ParentEDU on Support Healthy Technology Usage. Parents learned about the types of things our students are exposed to, and the counselors shared strategies for maintaining wellbeing around tech use.  

我们有相当多的家长参加了今天早上关于如何支持学生健康地使用电子设备的家长讲座。家长们了解了我们的学生们接触到的电子学习设备的种类，辅导员分享了如何健康地使用科技设备的策略。  

Grade 11 (DP1) students are busy at work with art-making for their Process Portfolios, one of the major projects DP Visual Arts students work on. Students can work in any media, following the direction of their individual inquiries into techniques and styles. In DP 2, students will present selected works from these inquiries in the Visual Arts Exhibition, upcoming this year in March for our current DP 2 students.  

G11 (DP1) 的同学们正努力为个人作品集进行艺术创作。个人作品集是DP视觉艺术学生的主要项目之一，学生可以使用任何媒介，对技法和风格进行了个人风格的探究创作。在DP2，学生将在今年3月为我们现在的DP2学生举办的视觉艺术展上展出他们的精选作品。    

Grade 8 students were exploring the various arts movements and how eras influence artists and their art. In these introductory classes, students were given sets of cards that show different artwork, and as a group, they lined up the cards to form a timeline of art pieces. To determine this, students discussed specific styles such as impressionism, cubism, and abstract etc.

八年级学生正在探索学习艺术运动以及特定时代如何创造特定的艺术以及他们各自的风格和代表艺术家。课程开始时，同学们收到一套不同艺术品的展示卡，每个小组需要根据艺术品的时间线排列卡片，在探索学习过程中，学生们讨论了艺术类别的具体风格，比如印象派、立体主义、抽象派等。

Attending the Sichuan Science Fair was an enlightening experience, where I had the privilege of engaging with brilliant minds and sharing insights on innovative projects. The event not only expanded my scientific knowledge but also provided an opportunity to forge lasting connections, as I made new friends who share a passion for exploration and discovery. Overall, the science fair was a remarkable journey that not only showcased groundbreaking ideas but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among like-minded people. The 2024 Regeneron Sichuan Science Fair in Chengdu brought together a diverse group of international students from across China, providing them with a platform to showcase their scientific knowledge and skills to the professional scientific community. Each student passionately pursued independent experiments and research projects that exemplified the forefront of research in their respective STEM fields. This esteemed science fair not only offered young scientists the chance to present their work, but also granted them recognition and the opportunity to share their groundbreaking discoveries with a wider audience.”
