在进入枫叶国际学校之前，我仅限于在学堂中研读经典，未曾参与过任何形式的演讲比赛。2022年，我有幸首次参与粤港澳大湾区的演讲比赛，心情颇为复杂。

由于缺乏经验，我曾一度感到紧张与不安。然而，在班主任李老师的不断鼓励与悉心指导下，我得以充分利用课余时间进行反复的练习与打磨。我站在镜子前，不断调整自己的语速、表情，力求达到最佳状态。为了更好地理解演讲稿的内涵，我甚至将中文部分也熟记于心。

尽管在舞台上，双腿仍不可避免地颤抖，心中充满紧张，但每当我回想妈妈的期待，老师那信任的目光时，内心便涌现出源源不断的勇气。我坚信自己能够完成这次挑战。最终，经过一番努力，我荣获了粤港澳大湾区小小外交官的金奖，实现了自我突破。      

时光荏苒，到了2023年末，老师再次将我推荐至比赛团队。经过学校的不断地锻炼与培养，以及日常的课前英文与中文演讲的实践，我已逐渐克服紧张情绪。我以自信的姿态面对评委与观众，展现出从容不迫的风采。在粤港澳大湾区千人大赛的小小外交官决赛中我再次获得金奖，在巅峰对决赛中取得了卓越的演讲的荣誉。这一经历让我深刻认识到，要拓展即兴演讲的深度与广度，就必须密切关注时事新闻，了解国家大事，并不断拓宽阅读视野。

展望未来，我计划在2024年进军更多赛事领域。我会对自己的演讲方式进行更加严格的审视与调整，力求在正式与专业的语境中发挥更加出色。我相信通过持之以恒的努力与挑战，定能进一步提升自己的演讲水平，取得更加辉煌的成绩。

Before I joined Maple Leaf International School, I only studied classics at school and never took part in any speech contests. In 2022, I had the honor of participating in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Speech competition for the first time. Due to my lack of experience, I felt nervous and uneasy. However, with the continuous encouragement and careful guidance of Ms. May Li, I was able to make full use of my free time to practice and refine repeatedly. I stood in front of the mirror, constantly adjusting my speed, expression, and striving to achieve the best state. 

In order to better understand the meaning, I also memorized the Chinese part. Although on the stage, my legs are still shaking and my heart is full of tension, whenever I think back to my mother's expectations and the teacher's trusting eyes, courage wells up inside me. I firmly believe that I can complete this challenge. Finally, after a lot of effort, I won the gold medal of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Little Diplomat and achieved self-breakthrough.

Time flies. At the end of 2023, my teacher recommended me to the competition team again. Through continuous training and practice at school, and daily practice of English and Chinese speeches before class, I have gradually overcome my nervousness. I face the judges and the audience with confidence, displaying a calm demeanor. 

I won the gold medal again in the finals of the Little Diplomat Competition of the Thousand People in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and I won the honor of outstanding speech in the summit competition. This experience made me realize deeply that to enhance the depth and breadth of impromptu speech, we must pay close attention to current news, understand national affairs, and constantly broaden our reading horizons.

In conclusion, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in 2024. I am committed to meticulously reviewing and refining my speeches, and striving to excel in formal and professional settings. With perseverance and continuous challenges, I am confident that I can enhance my oratorical skills and achieve even more outstanding successes.
