I am very excited to tell you that we will be using a website called IXL in our classroom this year. IXL is a comprehensive learning program offering unlimited math, language arts, science, and social studies practice across thousands of skills—all of which are aligned to the core curriculum. Not only is it a great learning resource but it also generates very accurate data on each student, giving us detailed information to set goals and requirements for each individual. 

非常高兴地告诉您我们将启用一款新的线上学习软件：IXL。IXL是一款非常全面的英文全科目学习软件，它含概了上千种英语、数学、美术、科学及社会学知识技能的训练，而且完全帖合我们现在所使用的核心课程。IXL不仅具有丰富的学习资源，而且还会为每个学生在每一项技能方面的能力给予非常准确的数据记录，它将给提供详细的信息以便我们为每位学生设定个性化的要求和学习目标。

I am very pleased the school has arranged access to IXL for us and in the coming weeks I plan to incorporate it very heavily into our schedule.

The first step is for each student to sign into their individual account. I have given each students a handout with their own username and password. There is a mobile app available but I would encourage using an Ipad if possible.

首先我们需要学生们先对IXL应用进行熟悉和了解。今天我们已经给每位学生发放了用户名和密码，请各位家长协助您的孩子下载应用并进行试登录，以确认帐号是否有问题，如有问题请及时联系我们。IXL同样有适宜手机使用的程序，但我们建议尽量使用平板电脑来操作。

Once we are all signed in and familiar with the app, I will start assigning tasks. In the coming weeks I will be using IXL for setting homework, it really is an excellent resource. Please take some time to become familiar with it.
