2022年IGCSE/A-Level国际考正式放榜，深国预学子获得优异成绩：多个科目达A率喜人，其中高数、数学、经济、中文、计算机信息技术、化学、艺术等多个科目取得不错成绩。不少学生以高分达到A-Level A*分段，且在各个科目都取得耀眼成绩，其中Kristina Yang同学AS数学满分，斩获单科全球第一的佳绩。

The 2022 IGCSE and A-Level international exams are officially released, and SIFC students have achieved excellent results: many subjects have achieved A rating, including advanced Mathematics, Mathematics, Economics, Chinese, Computer information technology, Chemistry, Art, and many other subjects which have also achieved good results.

过去一年，在深国预师生的共同努力下，同学们品尝了丰收的硕果。多个同学以高分达到A-Level A*分段，他们分别是Dawn Wei（数学97%，物理93%，高数88%），Kristina Yang（数学100%，化学95%，高数94%，经济87%）和 Lucas Chen（数学90%，经济87%，高数85%），其中Kristina Yang同学以数学满分，以总分300/300的成绩获得“单科全球第一”的卓越荣誉。

数学和计算机信息技术成为深国预英高同学们的强势科目——IGCSE高数达A*率100%，数学达A*率60%，达A率70%；A-Level高数达A率57%，高数达B率71%；计算机信息技术达A*率100%，展现出深国预学子出众的学术能力和理科课程教学的专业度。

In the past year, with the joint efforts of SIFC teachers and students, the students have tasted the fruit of their labour. A number of students achieved A-Level A* with high scores, they are Dawn Wei (97% in Mathematics, 93% in Physics, 88% in Advanced Mathematics), Kristina Yang (100% in Mathematics, 95% in Chemistry, 94% in Advanced Mathematics) , 87% in Economics) and Lucas Chen (90% in Mathematics, 87% in Economics, 85% in Advanced Mathematics), among which Kristina Yang won the outstanding honour of "World No. 1 in a single subject" with a total score of 300/300 in Mathematics.

Mathematics and Computer Science have become the dominant subjects of SIFC - IGCSE high Maths with A* rate of 100%, Mathematics with A* rate of 60%, A rate of 70%; A-Level high Maths with A rate of 57%, with a high number of B rate of 71%; Computer Science with an A* rate of 100%, showing the outstanding academic ability of SIFC students and the professionalism of Math and Computer Science teaching staff.

in Economics teaching

在国际考所有科目中，经济课对学生英文要求最高，不仅要求学生有优秀的英语语言能力，还要求学生有较大阅读量。经济科目因此成为中国学生最薄弱的学科。本次国际考，在考试难度加大的情况下，AS学生的经济成绩与IG相比均有较大幅度提升，取得“经济达A率40%，经济达B率60%”的好成绩。深国预不仅在数学、高数、计算机等理课方向上取得了不错成绩，在商科方向的教学成果也值得一提。

Among all subjects in the international examination, Economics has the highest requirements on students' English, which not only requires students to have excellent English language ability, but also requires students to have a large amount of reading material. Economics has thus become the weakest subject for Chinese students. This time, in the case of increasing difficulty in the test, Economics score of AS students has been greatly improved compared with IGCSE and achieved the great results of "A rate of 40% in Economics and 60% B rate in Economics". SIFC has not only achieved good results in science courses such as Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, and Computer science, but also the teaching results in the direction of business are worth mentioning.

我为今年的A-Level学生的表现感到自豪，他们认真学习、迅速成长、目标明确。12年级的同学们已经成为优秀的年轻人，毫无疑问他们即将在大学里完成不凡的成就。作为一名老师，即使学生已经毕业，我们也要对他们的表现负责。所幸，今年的毕业生非常出色，表现出良好的个人素质和优秀的学术实力，我祝他们一切顺利！

去年，我与11年级AS经济学的学生建立了非常牢固、真诚的情感纽带，我们相互信任。备考期间时间紧迫，学生利用深夜时间练习论文写作并发送给我，然后醒来后第一时间查看我的反馈并继续练习。我们并肩战斗，班上每一位成员在专注度、写作能力还是自信心方面都以不可估量的速度进步着。

IGCSE学生真正开始培养能够让他们上大学的技能，这是一个漫长而艰难的过程，但在经历了一些挫折之后，他们开始充满信心地向前迈进。学生们学会了研究、写作、提问，最重要的是，他们找到了研究世界的乐趣！经济学是一门有价值的学科，因为它使我们能够拆解世界的复杂议题并对其进行分析。我认为，经济学驱使学生成为更加全面和发展的人。

“I’m exceptionally proud of my A-Level students this year, they all worked hard, matured a lot and set their sights on the future. The grade 12 students have become fine young adults, and I have no fears about their success at university. As a teacher, you feel responsible for how your students perform even after they leave the school, but our students this year did a fantastic job and displayed excellent personal qualities. I wish them the best, but thankfully they don’t need wishes to do well!

In the last year, I have genuinely developed a very strong, genuine bond with the students in grade 11 AS Economics. We forged a connection through many long hours together both inside and outside the classroom. I trust them, and I feel honoured that they show me the same trust. The exam period was intense, with students using their own time to practice essay writing, sending them to me late at night then getting up early the next day, reading my feedback and using that to improve in the next practice. We fought together, side-by-side every step of the way. Every single member of the class improved in immeasurable ways, whether it be focus, writing, or raw determination. The only way to go from here is forwards and upwards!

IGCSE students really started to build the skills that will get them to university. It can be a long and difficult process, but after a few stumbles we started walking forwards with increasing confidence. Students learned to research, to write, to ask questions, and most importantly to find the fun in studying the world around them. Economics is a valuable subject because it allows us to break down what happens in the world and analyse it; in my experience, economics drives students to become more well-rounded and developed people.”

“Life is a journey with the unknown and the surprise. Since the three years of Covid-19, we and our students have accompanied and encouraged each other; In SIFC, the distance between our teachers and students has not been alienated due to covid-19, online and offline courses have been carried out steadily, allowing students to enjoy the happiness of learning.

As teachers, on the one hand, we continue to consolidate the structure of knowledge, conduct teaching seminars, sort out and answer the learning problems that students often encounter. 一开始上AS课程时，我面临很大的挑战——AS和IG内容跨度很大，尤其是化学和高数。后来，我通过观看Youtube的讲解视频和反复研究课本例题巩固所学。弄懂知识点只是第一步，更重要的是，我们要合理分配时间去刷题。刷题也要讲究方法，按照“刷题-总结-复习-重新刷题”的方式会有更好的效果。最后，希望大家调整好心态，放松心情，只要发挥好自己的水平就没有遗憾。

When I first started taking the AS lessons, I faced a big challenge - AS and IG cover a wide range of content, especially Chemistry and Advanced Math. Later, I consolidated what I learned by watching Youtube videos and reading the textbook examples. Understanding the knowledge points is only the first step. More importantly, we must allocate time reasonably to practice. We should have methods in practicing, like "answering the past paper-summarize-review-answering the past paper again", it would be better. Finally, I hope everyone can relax. As long as you try your best, you will have no regrets.

建议大家不要在AS阶段留下遗憾，有机会可以提前学习一些科目并提前参加考试，把握好学习节奏。我喜欢通过B站和Youtube学习，上面有很多讲解视频，对照着官网的考核大纲进行预习和复习的话，就不会遗漏任何一个小考点。作为一名英美双申的人，我想对面临同样挑战的同学说，每一步都要稳扎稳打，必须在每个阶段完成相应的标化考试，不能乱了阵脚。美国方向的申请特别注重活动和竞赛，建议大家在课余时间尽量参与，把握好每一个机会。

Don’t leave regrets in the AS stage. If you have the opportunity, you can study some subjects in advance and take the exam in advance, so as to grasp the learning rhythm. I like to study through Bilibili and Youtube. There are many videos. If you preview and review according to the assessment syllabus on the official website, you will not miss any small test points. Someone told me that you won't drown if you fall into the sea, you will only be in the sea. I feel that having an unwavering belief is the first step to being a great person. 来到深国预后，我收获了很多，包括和谐的校园环境，负责任的老师和友善的同学。同时学校也保留了同学们的自由，可以选择多元化的课程，也有调整课程的权利。这处处体现了学校的国际化，让我更加融入这集体。在此之前我是公立学校的学生，加入了深国预的大家庭后，没有了繁重的学业压力，让我在快乐中学习，自由地成长。

“After coming to SIFC, I have gained a lot, including a harmonious campus environment, responsible teachers and friendly classmates. 我认为考试能成功的关键在于稳扎稳打，上课认真听讲，课后梳理笔记并且按时完成作业。遇到难题多给一些自己独立思考的时间，有不会的即时查资料或者问老师，其实也就成功大半了。经济课上经常出现新的英文学术名词，对没有经济知识基础的同学来说很难，我的做法是先把自己不理解的术语从老师的PPT和课本中梳理出来，逐一请教老师，最后再通过完成每天的课后作业和练习题把知识内化。考前一个月，我会刷历年的past paper，总结错题和不同题型的答题思路，了解essay的评分标准，确保自己在看到题目的时候就有答题的步骤和框架。

“I think the key to success in exams is to learn steadily, listen carefully in class, sort out your notes after class, and complete your homework on time. If you encounter a problem, give yourself more time to think independently, and if you can’t, check the books immediately or ask the teacher, then most of the success will be achieved. New English academic terms often appear in Economics lessons, which are difficult for students without Economic knowledge. My method is to sort out the terms that I don’t understand from the teacher’s PPT and textbooks, ask the teacher one by one, and finally digest the terms by completing daily homework and practicing more. One month before the test, I completed the past paper of previous years, summarize the problems and the answering ideas of different question types, learn about the scoring standard of the essay, and make sure that I have the steps and framework for answering when I see the quiz.”
