WHAT
"Hand in Hand" is a practical course about artistic creation carried out by BACA Art Centre. Participants can complete the artistic expression of hand shape by creating a 3D plaster modeling with their relatives, loved ones or friends. In this course, participants will learn the skills of making 3D modeling such as mold making, gypsum pouring and demoulding. In the end, they will create their own art pieces, which can be a unique 3D gypsum hand model, or a precious gesture with their cherished ones.
BACA艺术中心的 "Hand in Hand" 3D模型艺术创作工作坊，提供了一次公众可以与自己的亲人、爱人或是好友一起，通过石膏3D建模的方式来完成手部形态创作的艺术实践。课程中，参与者们将在老师的带领下学习模具制作、石膏浇灌、脱模等3D石膏模型的基本制作技巧。在经过充分的指导和练习后，最终制作出的作品既可以是专属自己的手势，也可以是和最爱的人独一无二的剪影。
WHY
Through this course, BACA Art Centre hopes the participants can comprehand the expression and the emotional tension of our hands, also explore a beautiful, watchable and touchable art experience.
通过这一课程，BACA艺术中心希望参与者们能够更加充分的领略到我们双手丰富的表现力和情感张力，并完成一次富有美感的、具有欣赏性的、可触摸的艺术体验。

TUTOR
Charlie Dutton is an active British art educator, curator and contemporary artist. He achieved a BA (honours) in Fine Art at Central St Martins in 1996, and he postgraduated from the same university with major in Photography in 2008. Charlie has more than 10 years teaching experience, he has taught at City of London School, Universityof the Arts London and other schools, collages in the UK, India and Rwanda.
Charlie Dutton’s artworks mainly involve in photography, film, painting, ceramics and other topics. His own gallery “Charlie Dutton Gallery” has been operating in central London for five years. The gallery exhibits the works of more than 400 artists, and provides collections for public and private collectors from all over the world. Charlie is currently living and working closely with major galleries in Beijing.
查理·达顿是当今非常活跃的艺术教育工作者、策展人和英国当代艺术家。查理曾在中央圣马丁艺术学院学习纯艺术，于1996年获得了文学学士（荣誉）学位。并在此后攻读摄影专业，于2008年获得中央圣马丁艺术学院硕士学位。他曾任教于伦敦城市学校、伦敦艺术大学，以及英国、印度和卢旺达等地的多所学校，拥有超过十年的丰富教学经验。
查理·达顿的艺术作品主要涉及摄影、电影、绘画和制陶等不同领域。他自己伦敦的画廊 “Charlie Dutton Gallery” 已经在有了五年的历史，展出了四百余位艺术家的优秀作品，并将一些艺术作品推广到了世界各地的公共艺术机构和私人收藏家的收藏脉络里。目前，查理将生活和工作的重心放在了北京，与北京的多个艺术机构都有密切的合作。

BACA 艺术中心｜旮旯空间是北京艺术界一位令人充满期待的新成员，坐落于京城二环以里，毗邻雍和宫。作为一个独特地推广国际新锐艺术家的平台，BACA 艺术中心｜旮旯空间是集艺术展览、现场表演和电影放映为一体的实验性场域。与此同时，BACA 艺术中心｜旮旯空间在全英文教学环境下，开设了与艺术设计产业相关适合各年龄段的艺术工作坊和短期课程。
BACA Art Centre | Nook Gallery is a new addition to the Beijing art scene, and is located within the second ring road of Beijing, near Yonghe Temple. The Centre is a unique platform to promote emerging contemporary artists, as well as being an experimental space for exhibition, performance and film. BACA Art Centre | Nook Gallery also holds art workshops and short courses, taught in English by Art and Design professionals and suitable for all ages.
