ISA Wuhan Internatioanl School adopts the IBPYP as our main curriculum framework. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It is a framework guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subjects areas, as well as transdisplinary skills, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry.

The first 6 years of Early Years are crucial for a child’s development. During this year level, ISA Wuhan International School cultivates kids through the following aspects:

Young children have a natural urge to explore the world. They can not sit in their chair for extended periods of time, they have to move. Children make sense of the world around them through climbing, running, touching, throwing, smelling, tasting and making a mess.

幼龄儿童有一种探索世界的自然冲动。他们不能长时间地坐在椅子上，需要不停的活动。孩子们通过攀爬、奔跑、触摸、投掷、嗅觉、味觉和在屋子里“捣乱”来了解他们周围的世界。

This natural urge of children should be used for learning, not blocked.

儿童天生就是活泼好动的，但是这种天性需要被更多的应用于学习，而不是勒令禁止。

At ISA Wuhan Early Years School, we adopt the IB PYP as the main framework. This is an international framework for education, not a pre-made curriculum. The curriculum is full of flexibility and integrates the best features of China and the World in equal measure.

Three Layers of ISA Wuhan Curriculum

Level One: High level scope and sequence: The level of documentation outlines at a high level the summary of topics, learning outcomes, assessment criteria and type,key skills, concepts and content.

Level Two: Unit Plans -This level of documentation will use the appropriate IB programme unit planner.

Level Three: Lesson Plans - This final level of documentation gets down to what will be delivered in a specific lesson.

级别 1: 大纲范围和顺序: 本级别大纲包括主题概要、学习结果、评估标准和类型、关键技能、概念和内容。

级别 2：本级别文件将用到相关 IB 项目单元课程计划。

级别 3：课时计划: 本级别的内容将涉及每节课时授课内容。

K1-K4 Programme of Inquiry (POI)

幼儿园小小班- 大班探究计划

In the Early Years, K1-K4 complete four units of inquiry throughout a school year with two units must be under the theme “Who We Are” and “How We Express Ourselves”, while K4 completes five units as they transition into the primary school.

在幼儿园小小班（EY1）到中班（EY3）阶段，学生们每个学期将要完成四个探究单元的学习， 其中两个单元必须是“我们是谁”以及“我们如何表达自己”。为了更好地衔接小学课程，幼儿园大 班（EY4）的学生们必须完成五个探究单元的学习。

The Early Years units have specifically been developed to promote and provide opportunities for children to inquire into important concepts.

幼儿园的探究单元是专门为促进儿童探究重要的概念并提供探究机会而设计的。

This is why the units have been developed not as themes but around big ideas of conceptual importance, so there is not one path that children can go on but instead children can create their own paths for their learning.

因此，单元的设计并不规限于某一主题，而是以更宏大的重要概念为指引。孩子们的学习之路不止一条，他们可以创造属于自己的学习之路。
