How to become a mechanical engineer

I was interested in mechanical things since I was very young. When I was a kid, I would like to assemble and disassemble some of my toys. I always want to figure out how things work. And now, the learning process in my high school, I think perhaps mechanical engineering is the one most suitable for me. I will improve my math and physics skills in my normal life because I know that studying mechanical engineering requires a strong foundation in physics and mathematics, after this I will deliberately practice mechanical engineering not as a hobby but as a profession. 

I take mechanical engineering as my major to study. My learning goal is to find out how to become a mechanical engineer and during this process, I will study the relevant mechanical engineering knowledge. I also need to find out what mechanical engineering courses are available at universities. I will also regularly evaluate my own study progress to find out the most suitable direction and the depth of my study level.

How Video Games Impact Human Behavior

When I was thinking about possible topics for my Personal Project, It took me some time to realize what I wanted to do. I've always been interested in how the human brain works and how things like electronics can easily impact thought. 

When I was growing up, I was living in Africa where electronic usage was infrequent as it is now. Ever since moving to China, my electronic usage has increased compared to life in Africa due to internet reliability. This has always interested me. The main concept I'm intrigued about is video games and their impact on behavior.

The major factor that caused the Roman Empire to fall

For the learning goal, I stated that my personal interests are related to history. Also, I am curious about the transition between ancient times to the Middle Ages, so that’s why I chose the fall of Rome to be my focus. For the intended product, I’ve considered a series of posters, prepared and carried out an interview, a non-fiction story, and a video explaining everything I’ve learned. Eventually, I chose a video to be my final product because it’s entertaining and clear to read. 

The project helped me to fulfill some aspects of my interests. The success criteria and the action plan assisted me to be aware of time management. The supervision meetings influenced me to constantly organize my thoughts to be clear about what I was doing. For this project, there are some points I need to improve. My to-do list is too brief and lacks the necessary information. I lack examples and evidence for explaining what I did for most of the steps that should be influenced in the process.

Understanding of the complexities of ancient Greek society and its cultural achievements

While I was exploring ideas for my Personal Project, I knew from the start that I would do something related to history. The problem was which specific talking point I would do. I have loved history since I was a child since I am from a country where history is rich. I always found history interesting, and I was always researching it more and more. For most of my school years, the most important lesson was and is history. Therefore, other than that, I also know very much about history. 

In addition, a global context that interests me is sustainability and historical context exists for every aspect of sustainability. Consequently, sustainability is a historical science. I've realized that I am keen to become a literature teacher with teaching history and Ancient Greek. For this reason, I am certain that the personal project would provide me with the best resources to keep opening up my mind to my favorite academic discipline.

How basketball enhances camaraderie, teamwork and 

physical fitness

I didn't hesitate too long in considering the Personal Project theme because I'm very passionate about basketball and I've been playing basketball with my friends almost every week since I was introduced to it four years ago. I play basketball with my friends and teachers every afternoon and I also take basketball lessons every Tuesday and Thursday. Therefore, for this personal project, I decided on the theme "How basketball enhances camaraderie, teamwork, and physical fitness?". 

I chose basketball because it has brought me many friends and has promoted good health and a sense of teamwork. I intend to explore how basketball enhances teamwork and camaraderie, as well as health, in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.

Teenagers Healthy Diet Plan

When I was exploring ideas for my personal project, I quickly came up with many different topics that I would like to choose from. I've loved reading since I was a child, which cultivates my curiosity in various subjects. As time goes by, I realized that I have gradually grown to value health issues more. I have been studying methods of keeping a balanced diet and embracing mental problems, which fascinates me. Particularly, during the Covid pandemic, the world is unstable and unpredictable, affecting everything enormously. Thus, I've spent a lot of time cooking, planning, exercising, and researching, which are things that I am surely passionate about. 

Through the development of my knowledge and skills, I am keen to become a nutritional psychologist in the future. For this reason, I'm certain that the personal project would provide me with the best resources to learn about the process of realizing my dream. Conclusively, I've decided that my learning goal will be to understand the science behind the reason why a diet is beneficial to health.
