From 26th to 28th August, ISA Wuhan held a three-day campus orientation activity to help students get familiar with the campus environment in advance, get to know and make friends with their new classmates, get closer to the principals and teachers, and quickly get to know and integrate into the campus life of ISA Wuhan.

8月26日至28日，武汉爱莎开展了为期三天的校园迎新活动，帮助学生提前熟悉校园环境，认识并结交新同学，与校长与老师拉近距离，快速了解和融入爱莎的校园生活。

New students registered, listened to speeches, reported to their classes, tried on their uniforms and moved into their boarding houses··· ISA Wuahan Orientation Day took place in an orderly manner with the cooperation of all community members. The Head of ISA Wuhan, Ms. Juliana Jia, led the principals of the schools,  departments and the head of the curriculum centre to give a speech about the new semester and introduce the new teachers in the auditorium, where the endless wishes were sent.

新生登记、聆听宣讲、进班报到、试穿校服、入住宿舍······武汉爱莎迎新日在全体社区成员的配合下有序进行。武汉爱莎园区总校长贾茜带领各学校、学部校长与课程中心负责人，发表新学期致辞，介绍新老师，无限期许由此展开。

The "newness" of ISA's campus makes home-school co-education from the "heart". After listening to the principal's message for the new semester, students and parents stepped into the new classroom, where the main teacher of each grade explained in detail how to use Managebac, the ISA home-school communication platform, from the new semester syllabus, hierarchical teaching, the arrangement of campus activities to the completion of the homework standard, and supervisors of each curriculum centre carried out a comprehensive explanation of the IB inquiry teaching, which built up the strength and empowered the students for the new semester.

爱莎校园的“新意”让家校共育从“心”出发。在聆听完校长的新学期寄语后，学生和家长迈入焕然一新的课室，各年级主班老师为新家长详细讲解爱莎家校沟通平台Managebac的使用方法，从新学期课程大纲，分层教学，校园活动安排到完成作业标准，各项目课程中心负责人就IB探究式教学展开全面的说明，为新学期蓄力赋能。

At the same time, all ISA Wuhan students were led by teachers to play various ice-breaking games to familiarise themselves with their new classmates, to bring them closer to each other, to embrace our multicultural environment, to get used to multilingual communication, and to enter into a brand new school year with a glittering elegance.

同时，爱莎新生与返校生们也在教师带领下，通过各式各样的“破冰”小游戏，熟悉新同学，拉进彼此距离，拥抱多元文化，习惯多语种交流，闪耀着奕奕风采，迈入崭新的学年。

In the new academic year, ISA Wenhua Wuhan Secondary School (International Pathway) has comprehensively overhauled subject curriculum, putting forward a more rigorous curriculum and higher standard requirements for teaching management and quality of teaching. At the middle school level, in conjunction with the IB Learner Profile and maintained within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework, the Middle School Academic Teaching and Research Team has organized a new course which provides guidance regarding college planning for the Grade 8 and 9 students.

新学年，武汉爱莎文华中学（国际方向）全面升级了中学学段的综合科目设置，对教学管理和教学质量监管提出了更严谨和更高标准的要求。在初中阶段，结合IB十大全人培养目标及IB中学课程（MYP）框架体系，初中学术教研团队今年特别为八、九年级学生新开设了升学规划指导课。

For the Grade 10 students, ISA Wenhua Wuhan High School uses the IBDP system as the curriculum framework. This approach places emphasis on the needs of various professions in overseas countries, and provides students with a wide range and flexible choices when choosing their course. In addition to the compulsory courses such as Language Arts, Mathematics, and English, the school also provides more than 18 elective courses in three major categories, namely Humanities, Science, and Art, helping students lay a solid academic foundation in the first year of high school, all based on the principles of combining liberal arts, sciences and sports. 

针对新高一学生，武汉爱莎文华高中以IBDP课程体系为框架，兼顾海外各国各类专业需求，为学生提供了更为广泛的课程设置及灵活的选择。除语文、数学、英语必修课外，还提供了人文、理科、艺术三大类共18余门选修课，课程种类全面丰富，以文理兼修、艺体兼顾为原则，帮助学生在高一阶段打下坚实学术基础。

武汉爱莎文华高中教师团队发表新学期致辞

The High School Academic Teaching and Research Team has set up two advanced courses namely Accelerated Mathematics and Accelerated Economics for Grade 10 students. These courses aim to provide an advanced learning track for students who already have a solid foundation in Mathematics and Economics and expect to learn college-level mathematics and calculus courses in advance. In the next two weeks, after fully understanding each student's individual interests and subjects of expertise, the high school guidance team intends to provide a customed developmental program for each student. 

其中，特别设置的联合数学与联合经济两门进阶课程，可以为在数学、经济学方面已具备一定基础，期望提前学习大学高等数学及微积分课程的学生提供进阶学习赛道。近两周，在充分了解每一个学生的个人兴趣及擅长科目后，为每一位学生量身定制最科学适配的教学培养方案。 

For Grade 11 students, ISA Wenhua Wuhan High School offers 8 AP courses this year, including the newly added AP Pre-Calculus, AP Music Theory, AP Art & Design, and AP Psychology. These courses will allow students to plan their course schedule according to their college plans, and be prepared in advance for next year's college application season. 

针对高二学生，今年武汉爱莎文华高中开设了8门AP课程，新增了AP预备微积分、AP音乐理论、AP艺术设计及AP心理学课程，学生可根据大学计划就读专业，为明年的大学申请季提前做好课程规划。

ISA's boarding is an existence beyond the family. In order to welcome over 300 boarders back to campus, the ISA Wuhan Life Services team has been working throughout the whole summer holiday to improve and prepare for the new school year. The boarding leaders of each school division led the students to check-in in batches, and a series of ISA Wuhan boarding guidance courses were held to fully communicate and explain all aspects of the boarding timetable, boarding agreements, electronic equipment management, catering school buses and medical services, etc., so that students could spend the new semester with peace of mind.

After the warm and loving community welcome activities, on September 1st, ISA Wuhan welcomed the biggest and grandest campus event of the year - ISA Wuhan Campus Assembly & 2023 Opening Ceremony.

After more than two months break, students, parents and staff from more than 30 countries and regions with multicultural backgrounds finally returned to the ISA Wuhan community. In the school's auditorium, every seat had been occupied, cheers and applause went up and down, and more than 3,000 members of the ISA community greeted the arrival of the new semester with the most enthusiastic and brand-new outlook.

"Together, we can make a much bigger noise!" said James Morris, Head of ISA Wuhan Internatioanl School, in a speech full of "morale", which created a wave of excitement in the room. He mentioned that in just 2 years, the ISA Wuhan multicultural community has grown from 0 to nearly 2000 members, and that it is the common belief in the future and educational concepts that has made us choose each other and grow together. In the new semester, we believe that all members of the community will create more milestones and make the world proud of us.

In this assembly, the president of ISA Wuhan Student Union and the representative of ISA Wuhan new students also made a speech on the stage to give a new semester's outlook. As the largest self-organised group of students, ISA Wuhan Student Union plays a key role in students' self-management, self-service and self-study, and will continue to lead the school to a new level and open up new possibilities in the new semester.

Pastoral care is one of the most important features of ISA Wuhan's holistic approach to education, combining the qualities of mixed-age education, teamwork, and service to others, and is a concentrated expression of ISA's pastoral care. Upon enrolment, each ISA student is assigned to his/her own House, where a wealth of academic competitions, sports competitions, theme-based seminars and other exciting campus activities take place, and House scores will be recorded.

Each academic year, the homes with the most scores will jointly receive the ISA Super House Cup. This year, the Little Dragons from the ISA Wuhan Dragon House received their first House Cup with the highest number of scores. We look forward to seeing all of the ISA House members continue to strive for excellence in the new school year. In 2023, let's work together to meet the challenges and opportunities of the new school year, and write a new chapter of ISA Wuhan to become lifelong learners.
