During the Reading Month, students have deepened their love of reading, cultivated good reading habits, and set off a wave of innovative brainstorm, highlighting the infinite creativity and pursue of knowledge of ISA teachers and students by their new and bold learning outcoms. How many character traits can you tell from a pair of socks? In Crazy Sock Day, students got creative by making their own socks to match the characters and animals they knew from reading!

For this special event, students wore a T-shirt to school with a slogan for others to read.  This encouraged our students to take their reading from books to shirts and created a real-life context to practice their literacy skills.

Our students brought to life their favourite characters in this exciting event. They shared their outfits in a catwalk experience and celebrated each other’s creativity.

Make a bookmark to make reading "come alive"! Students wielded paint brushes and created their own bookmarks with their favourite episodes in the book and their feelings after reading it!

What's your favourite place to read at home? You can try different places to ignite your passion for reading, for example, try to read in your closet at home or read to your pet. These experiences allowed the connection between home and school to come to life.

Students got to exchange a book or books from home with other students and now have a new book for their personal library. This event provided students with the chance to discuss their choice with peers developing and enhancing their conversation skills.

Students from ISA Wuhan International School Kindergarten went on a field trip to a modern library, the Lu Xun Bookstore & Art Museum. It also served as a gallery, literature museum, and bookstore, where we could meet professional librarians, discover new books, and explore the surrounding area.

Let your thoughts swim in the sea of books, and embrace a thousand kinds of advantages through reading. Congratulations to all the students who won the prizes in the Reading Month! In the future, ISA Wuhan will continue to create a strong reading atmosphere for every student, encourage reading for all in the ISA community, cultivate the habit of active reading, and enrich the mind with books. Together, we will strive to build a multicultural and high-tech holistic school so to establish a century-old prestigious school.
