11月8日至9日,武汉爱莎全园区开展了为期两天的PLC专业学习大会。作为爱莎国际教育集团一年一度开展的内部学习分享盛会,至今已走过第六个年头。大会荟聚来自30多个国家和地区的300余名菁英教师齐聚一堂,与社区成员分享了他们在工作领域内的最佳实践经验与案例。

On the 8th and 9th of November, a two-day PLC professional learning conference was held in the whole campus of ISA Wuhan. As an annual internal learning and sharing event of ISA International Education Group, the conference is now in its sixth year. The conference brought together more than 300 elite teachers from more than 30 countries and regions to share their best practices and case studies in their field of work with the community members.

The staff of ISA Wuhan gave full play to their sense of community ownership and participated in the planning of more than 50 different types of keynote speeches, workshops and evaluations, actively sharing their experiences in teaching practice, research, student management, intercultural communication, multicultural community building and other aspects. The aim is to continuously improve students' learning outcomes and well-being, improve school operations, and help ISA build a multicultural international education ecosystem.

Conduct Regular School Health Checks for Quality Education


爱莎国际教育集团首席学术官、爱莎旗下各学校(国际方向)督导、爱莎国际教育集团董事会战略顾问David Mansfield先生,带来了《创新,铸就成功,引领未来》的主题演讲。他表示,爱莎国际教育集团致力于成为一个多元文化的国际教育生态系统,其愿景是激励学生探究、成就和践行。为实现这一目标,学校制定了详细的发展规划,包括健康检查、行动计划、学校董事会、学校改进服务等,并设定了集团关键绩效指标(KPIs)和教学标准。

Mr. David Mansfield, Chief Academic Officer of ISAIEG Educational superintendent of ISA Schools (lnternational Pathway) and Strategic Advisor to Board of ISAIEG delivered a keynote speech on ‘Innovating for Success and a Bright Future’. He said that ISA is committed to being a multicultural international education ecosystem with a vision to inspire students to inquire, achieve and practice. To achieve this, the school has a detailed development plan that includes a Health Check, Action Plan, School Board, School Improvement Service, and sets the Group's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Teaching and Learning Standards.

Teachers Should Embrace Lifelong Learning and Integrate Knowledge in Problem-Solving


武汉爱莎学校总督学李鸿朗先生在致辞中强调,专业学习大会对于教师个人成长、构建学习型组织、树立终身学习理念以及学校可持续发展的重要性。“武汉爱莎的教师们要把知识传授寓于问题的解决之中,把技能训练寓于思维方法养成之中。有研究才有探索、有探索才有创新、有创新才有超越。”

In his speech, Mr. Frank Li, ISA Wuhan Superintendent of ISA Wuhan School, emphasised the importance of the Professional Learning Conference for teachers' personal growth, the construction of a learning organisation, the establishment of the concept of lifelong learning as well as the sustainable development of the school. ‘Teachers at ISA Wuhan should put knowledge transfer into problem solving, and skills training into the development of thinking methods. With research comes exploration, with exploration comes innovation, and with innovation comes transcendence.’

好奇心是人的天性,对科学兴趣的引导和培养要“从娃娃抓起”。武汉爱莎学校拔尖创新人才培养基地首席导师高江涛校长在主题演讲中,针对“刷题”现象进行了反思,认为其可能挫伤学生学习积极性和好奇心。他还介绍了国家强基计划的宗旨,强调选拔有志于服务国家重大战略需求且综合素质优秀或基础学科拔尖的学生。


“全面而有个性是新时代教育背景下,中国培养未来人才的首要方向。在课程设置上,学校要注重扩充、打通基础课程,并推进个性化课程常态化,以满足不同学生的需求。” 高校长分享道。

Curiosity is human nature, and the guidance and cultivation of scientific interest should start from childhood. In his keynote speech, Principal Gao Jiangtao, Chief Mentor of the Centre for Cultivating Innovators of ISA Wuhan School, reflected on the phenomenon of ‘blindly practicing a large number of exam questions’, which may frustrate students' motivation and curiosity in learning. He also introduced the purpose of the National Foundation Programme, which emphasises the selection of students who aspire to serve the country's major strategic needs and have excellent overall qualities or excel in basic disciplines.


‘Being comprehensive and individualistic is the primary direction for China to cultivate future talents in the context of education in the new era. In terms of curriculum, schools should focus on expanding and opening up the basic curriculum and promoting the regularisation of personalised curriculum to meet the needs of different students.’ Principal Gao shared.

武汉爱莎学校深知,虚心聆听并关怀社区家庭与教职员工福祉的重要性。在专业培训大会期间,幼儿园、小学部及中学部的家长和老师们也与大家分享了学生入读学校后的收获与成长,以及自己在家校共育中进行的育儿反思。


武汉爱莎创校教师Jozef博士,与老师们分享了自己于2022年入职爱莎后,见证了学校的飞速成长,并强调了为营造温馨友爱、相互支持的家校合作环境所付出的努力与取得的成果。他鼓励所有教职员工继续秉持开放的心态,携手家长,共同为孩子们的全面发展贡献力量。

ISA Wuhan School understands the importance of listening to and caring for the well-being of families and staff in the community. During the Professional Development Conference, parents and teachers from the Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary Schools shared with the audience how their students have grown since joining the school and how they have reflected on their own parenting experiences in the context of home-school co-education. 


Dr. Jozef, the founding teacher of ISA Wuhan, shared with the teachers how he has witnessed the rapid growth of the school since he joined ISA in 2022 and highlighted the efforts and achievements made in creating a warm, friendly and supportive home-school co-operation environment. He encouraged all staff to continue to keep an open mind and work hand in hand with parents to contribute to the holistic development of the children.

The workshops at this year's conference continued to be as high-density and interactive as in previous years, and were enriched with analyses and discussions in the areas of child psychological care, staff well-being, leadership and management, and students' advancement to higher education. The sharing of real-life case studies helped the ISA teaching team to understand and apply their work in practice, and promoted cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary exchanges, stimulating inspiration and building a strong learning community at ISA Wuhan.
