弘扬革命精神，珍惜和平生活

——研学台儿庄——

为了庆祝建党100周年，弘扬民族精神，进行爱国主义传统教育，2021年6月11日上午，徐州华顿国际学校国际高中部师生来到山东省枣庄市台儿庄战役纪念馆、台儿庄古城开展研学活动。本次研学活动旨在学习台儿庄战役的过程、感受革命将士的斗争精神、弘扬和传承老一辈革命家的无私奉献、保家卫国的精神。

In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on the morning of June 11th, 2021, the high school teachers and students of Walton International School Xuzhou went to the Taierzhuang Campaign Memorial Hall and the Taierzhuang Ancient Town to carry out some research activities. The purpose of this activity was to learn the history of the Taierzhuang campaign - allowing students to feel the spirit of the revolutionary soldiers and the selfless dedication of the older generations.

在讲解员的带领下，同学们全面参观了台儿庄大战纪念馆以及台儿庄古城。光辉的序幕战、辉煌的台儿庄歼灭战、台儿庄大捷的巨大影响等展馆，使同学们感受了革命将士们浴血奋战的光辉形象，还见到了当时的枪支、军服等真实物品。古城内战争遗迹老房屋、弹孔墙和老照片，真实再现了当年战争的场景和士兵往来冲杀的悲壮。学生们近距离触摸战争遗迹，感受战争的惨烈，更加珍惜感恩今天的和平生活。

Under the careful watch of our excellent guide, the students visited the Taierzhuang Campaign Memorial Hall and the Taierzhuang Ancient City. The exhibition halls, including the prelude to the battle, the annihilation of Taierzhuang, and the great impact of the victory of the Taierzhuang Campaign, enabled students to feel the stoicism of revolutionary soldiers fighting bloody battles, as well as see the equipment, military uniforms and other artifacts of that time. Old houses, bullet-hole riddled walls and old photos of the war relics in the ancient town truly left an impact of the scenes of war and the tragic and solemn battles that took place. Students were moved by the tragedy of war, and left with a newfound appreciation for our peaceful everyday lives.

一幅幅生动的图片、一件件珍贵的文物、一个个感人的故事，大家重温了革命先烈的英勇奋斗史。通过讲解员的生动讲解，每位同学都在认真学习这段革命历史，观看台儿庄大战的影视资料，了解战争背景，并进一步探讨台儿庄大战的革命成果及其影响。

Vivid pictures, precious cultural relics and touching stories reminded us of the heroic struggles of the soldiers who bravely fought. Through the characterful explanation of the guide, each student studied this revolutionary history carefully, and combined with various media forms of the Taierzhuang Campaign, understood the background of the war, and further discussed the revolutionary achievements and influence of the Taierzhuang Campaign.

让我们发扬广大爱国官兵以及战地民众在国家命运和民族大义面前，敢于牺牲、甘于奉献、精诚团结、反抗侵略的崇高精神，学习他们坚韧不拔、宁死不屈、血战到底的英雄气概！让我们铭记历史，缅怀先烈，珍爱和平，开创未来，为全面建成小康社会、实现中华民族的伟大复兴贡献智慧和力量。

Let us carry forward the lessons we learn from the past and the sacrifices our ancestors have made to allow us to be thankful for the world we currently live in. By remembering and respecting the great deeds of our forefathers and mothers we can be inspired to overcome any challenge, cherish times of peace, create a better future, and contribute wisdom and strength to the building of a more harmonious society.
