周一的IGCSE 2年级化学课，Kenneth老师讲解了物质的不同性质，老师向同学们介绍了四种不同的物质状态，并讨论了不同物质状态的主要属性。

On Monday’s IGCSE 2 Chemistry Class, Particulate Nature of Matter class, our teacher Kenneth explained to students the description of the four states of matter and discussed the main properties of different states of matter. 

接着，老师带同学们边体验边解释干冰注入沸水后，从固态快速升华到气态的过程，大家非常喜爱这种理论与实践结合的学习体验。

He also led students to experience and discuss the process of rapid sublimation of dry ice from solid to gas after being injected into hot water. Our students love this kind of learning experience that combines theory introduction and hands-on practice.

Toni, our CAS Coordinator, invited all CAS, clubs, school teams and other campus events’ organizers to recruit new members by introducing their work to teachers and students during this week's activity time. We look forward to seeing students' creativity and performance!

今年夏季参加了表演及诗歌和散文朗诵类别的LAMADA考试的同学们本周收到了伦敦寄来的证书，祝贺他们收获的好成绩。

Our students, who took LAMADA exams in acting, as well as the speaking of verse and prose this summer, received their certificates from London! Congratulations to them for the great results!

下一轮LAMDA考试将于12月举行。本学期，同学们可与戏剧老师Nicola联系，报名参加课后额外举行的LAMDA小班指导。

The next round of exams will be held in December 2021. This semester, students can sign up for LAMDA tuition which takes place after class. Students should contact Nicola, our drama teacher.

本周，学校为同学们举办了主题为《减压从走进心灵开始》的心理学讲座，鼓励同学们正确认识情绪，处理人际关系、面对考试焦虑及照顾自我。

This week, the school organized a psychology presentation with the theme of "Stress Management for Students". We encourage students to correctly understand emotions, deal with interpersonal relationships, face exam anxiety, and take care of themselves.

本周五午餐时间，学校为在上学期表现优异，获得了各学科进步奖，及践行“IB国际文凭学习者培养目标“表现优异的同学们举行了简短的颁奖仪式，希望同学们在本学期再接再厉，做到最好！

This Friday, the school organized a Prize Winners’ Lunch event for students who performed well in the previous semester and won Subject Awards, and IB Learner Profile Awards. We hope all students make persistent efforts to achieve their best in the upcoming days.
